Piste is busily plumping up the cushions and making a space for Blondes to dump the naughty step.

Here we go! Let's see 2010 out in style my fellow Slinkies!

Have been out ALL day for friends LOs 1st birthday! The girls played very nicely so has been quite a nice day! Did have pizza hut buffet for lunch Blush but had alot of salad with it!

Well done blondes & Piste!

Blondes - tyre looks horrific, how very scary!

Pretty - :( but it could be muscle

Murtette · 15/10/2010 18:21

Blondes - I somehow missed the bit about your tyre earlier. What a nightmare. You've motivated me to take my car to the garage tomorrow as I think the tread is getting a bit thin on one of them. Also, I've now found the nannies page on MN so am reading all the stuff on there about nannies. You seem to be the guru of most of the threads on that page!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/10/2010 19:16

lol at guru - diet/sex/nanny Grin

MURTETTE what do you want to know? message if you prefer :)

PRETTY it really could be muscle - measure yourself now and also in a month, bet you lose inches

BEBE yummy pizza and salad

im pissed off about my tyre as was fairly new, why couldnt it been my older one Hmm

DespicableMe · 15/10/2010 20:56

Welcome to shiver! :)

I'm new too :) :)

Well done everyone who's lost some - I'm so bad I weigh myself every day - always post wee, first thing in the morning, with nowt on, before I get in the shower, lol. Not afterwards, just in case my waterlogged hair adds an ounce Wink

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/10/2010 21:08

weight goes up and down so tbh you should only weigh once a week or you will get depressed

i also weigh after ive had a wee in the morning but i have clothes on - as i wouldnt weigh naked if in a club

DespicableMe · 15/10/2010 21:13

I know you're right and I know I shouldn't do it. But if I am good three days running I lose a pound, it's almost guaranteed. I'm just hardly ever good three days running! My scales just call me every morning and I can't resist it. But I did get my mojo back woohoo!!! I bought some size 12 jeans and they fit Grin although they must be generous for a 12.

bebejones · 15/10/2010 21:39

Watching food porn....Nigella! :o

Feeling uncomfortably full & very guilty after scoffing a lot of Haagan Dazs! Blush

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/10/2010 23:15

Jeans are weird. I have several 12's I can't get in to , yet other 12's I can and then there's a 14 that is so snug that I can't walk let alone breathe Hmm

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/10/2010 14:05

afternoon :)

been to the gym today, so thats thur/fri and sat this week

im in the zone today

b oat so simple and skim 3p
l subway low fat chicken/salad 5p
t chinese char sui pork 4p and 1/2 noodles 4 so 8p

GettinTrimmer · 16/10/2010 14:23

Bebe - I saw Nigella too, I once tried her express chocolate mousse made with marshmallows and it wasn't very nice, so I will be avoiding her grasshopper pie. Dd would like to try the marmite spaghetti Hmm

Blondes - not quite in the zone today (that's an understatement!), but am planning on going for my longest run yet. Had tuna melt and chips at bhs for lunch, and we are going out for eat as much as you like curry tonight after seeing a film.

I am going out for my longest run yet tomorrow as it will be exactly a week before my race. Planning on running for an hour and a half, so I am hoping to sts on Monday. I have decided to really pay attention to calorie counting from the day after my race.

I'm just off to start a thread in arts and crafts about halloween stuff. We are planning on doing scary heads from papier mache. I assume we just use flour and water.

GettinTrimmer · 16/10/2010 14:45

Sorry for hijacking, but if anybody has any ideas for halloween arts/crafts, I started a thread here

GettinTrimmer · 16/10/2010 14:46

Oh that didn't work!

try again www.mumsnet.com/Talk/arts_and_crafts/1063416-Help-recommendeations-for-halloween-art-craft-needed

bebejones · 16/10/2010 18:15

Trimmer - wallpaper paste works really well for paper mache. Making heads, blow up balloon, cover in vaseline then cover with several layers of torn newspaper/tissue paper (alternate layers so you can tell you ahve covered it evenly) leave to dry then pop balloon. You can then cut out scary 'pumpkin style' faces and paint! :)

Just gave DD marmite pasta, she loved it & ate every mouthful (which is really really rare), is quite yummy, but then I love marmite! :o

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/10/2010 19:22

Evening all!
Busy busy day and it started so early cos we had so much to do! Not really had time to eat but that is fine Smile

GT - one week to go- I am already proud of you!

Bebe - well done on your loss again! Marmite pasta does sound good. Mmmmm.

On the papier mâché front, if you use wall paper paste, one word of caution, check v carefully it doesn't have anti fungal agents in it as they often do, ( not always ) because they can be irritants. If only you lived locally to me I'd 'lend' you some cellulose paste!!

Blondes - another loss for you. But blimey, your car tyre - it was shredded. Glad you aren't shredded, that could have been nasty.

Despicable - I weigh myself several times a day. I know what you mean about being called!!

Murtette - good luck with the nanny hunt. We had a lovely lovely nanny for a while for DD when she was about 9 months for a year. We still keep in contact with her and DD is 13!!

Pretty - frequently of late I have either sts or gained when I have been good and it is really annoying. Growl. And growl on your behalf too. It's a pain up the bum.
Hello to Shiver too!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/10/2010 12:00

Morning all.

We are at Thorpe Park today ( theme park ) and I am sitting in the sun waiting for them all to go on some massive ride with 10 loops or something. It is a treat for DS in lieu of a birthday party back in June! They had school journey back in June and cub camp and DH was away a lot so we always said wewould do
It at the beginning of October half term. And here we are! I have cunningly facilitated it so that there are 3 extra mates plus DS so they are a 4 then DD and DH go together and I look after the bags!!!

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 17/10/2010 12:22

What a cunning plan - don't blame you piste.

Enjoy your roast Blondes.

I have no focus atm food wise, but the day after my race I am going to start properly again.

We've just been to the dc's school to have our photos done, they are good ones - I made an effort with my appearance and wore make up. This reminded me of why I don't wear it very often - putting on mascara is difficult without my glasses, need them to see what I'm doing. I don't take a good picture these days, but the dcs are gorgeous in them. Will have to post them at some point.

Was thinking of having a halloween name. GettinGhoulish? GhoulislyGettinTrimmer

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/10/2010 12:34

very cunning plan piste Grin

tp is about 30mins away from me - go there quite often sans dc

RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/10/2010 13:16

Haven't been here since it was newly opened. Is the farm still here Mrs Blondes?

Am enjoying avoiding all rides !

DespicableMe · 17/10/2010 16:08

I used to live near Thorpe Park - who remembers Phantom Fantasia (burnt down I think), the Flying Fish and the roller rink!!! ?? Oh and the Bronco Bikes! They were deadly!

How old do I feel? Lol.

I am mega excited today, I weigh under 12 stone for the first time in years as of yesterday so I thought I'd get my wedding dress (9 yrs old!) out and try it on - low and behold it fits woohoo!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/10/2010 16:22

no the farm wasnt there, that was the best bit, taking the boat over and back by train :(

RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/10/2010 18:02

Just Stealth for me today! Got away with the rest. [smirk]
but DS had a great time and I love his mates too. Good company!!

Well done despicable - that is amazing. You must feel fabulous. And that's because you are!
