Piste is busily plumping up the cushions and making a space for Blondes to dump the naughty step.

Here we go! Let's see 2010 out in style my fellow Slinkies!

Gawd Blondes, you could do without that. My DS wants snow as he bass lots of tests this week, but DD has a big netball tournament on Wednesday all day and doesn't want it cancelled. ( I expect if it is this cold it will be cancelled anyway because there's lots of hanging round at tournaments)

Happy New Week everyone!

GettinTrimmer · 29/11/2010 09:39

No snow here yet, it usually misses us, but wouldn't surprise me if we get it tomorrow.

You need a hot water bottle Bebe.

GettinTrimmer · 29/11/2010 09:42

It sounds impossible to diet atm Blondes

I have to be very good till Friday to sts this week.

Festive Fatties Fighting Flab!! Hmm :o

I don't mind really, as long as you let me know where you are!! :)

Murtette · 29/11/2010 12:07

I'm back! Sorry for ignoring you but its been all go here - my birthday, got engaged, got a new job, househunting...hmm, I think that that was it! Amazingly, I've only put on 1lb during all of this which I'm really pleased with as I think I've been gone about 3 weeks and have eaten a lot of cake and drunk a lot of champagne. I do feel flabbier though so started the old WW fast start thing today which I'll try and do for a fortnight. I'll try and get my head around the whole pro points thing in the NY.

I've only had a chance to skim through posts but will try and have a proper read later. How about "Snowy Slinkies"? I'm so glad I came back before you started a new thread as otherwise I may not have found you.

Congratulations Murtette!!! And well done on only gaining 1lb! :)

prettybird · 29/11/2010 15:58

Congratulations Murtette :) And I think you hahave done really well to have only put on one pound with all that going on :)

Not sure I like any new thread title with Fatties in it Hmm - it seems very negative given the progress we have made/are making :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/11/2010 18:20

wow - congrats murtette - pic of ring please :) and well done on the lb

ive been semi good today with pasta and tons of veg for lunch and some chicken thing for tea and mb had been cooking at weekend so had a butterscotch cookie

'dribbles'

GettinTrimmer · 29/11/2010 21:45

Hi Murtette, well done on only gaining a lb. sounds like you have been exceptionally busy.

I have the evening munchies really badly

Just had about four cashew nuts and had to stop myself having any more. two pickled onions for me and a small glass of wine...

RatherBeOnThePiste · 30/11/2010 07:01

Congratulations Murtette - Fantatsic news!!

GT - You and your Munchies - I had them too!!

I have some name suggestions because we are about to fall off into the abyss..
( But I do agree with Pretty that I don't want to be a fatty!)

Last night I thought of "Festively fighting flab into 2011"? It's not quite as bad as "fatties" in that it concentrates on what we are doing about it! Grin

bebejones · 30/11/2010 08:33

Festive Flange Fighting Flab! Have caught the alliteration bug! :o

GettinTrimmer · 30/11/2010 12:16

No munchies today I was feeling dizzy and sick earlier on, now just very washed out, I have to drag myself to ASDA in a bit though.

I like that Pretty - 2010 Weight Loss Club: Festively Fighting Flab into 2011.

bebejones · 30/11/2010 13:15

Ok so I tackled the drying out oranges thing! Accidentally put the oven too high & burnt some bits! Blush But I soaked them in lemon juice & the rnd has still gone very very brown! Confused Still look quite good I guess. I am re-decorating our wreath as it was looking a bit shabby! Quite proud of how it's coming together! :)

Trimmer - hope you feel better soon, must be one of the horrible bugs going about at the moment. Sometimes I'm tempted to just hibernate from the end of Novemeber til about mid March & not leave the house! Hmm

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/11/2010 14:00

i like Festively Fighting Flab

roads were hell this morning and left my car at bottom of works hill and walked up

i want stodge and feel i want to be bad

GettinTrimmer · 30/11/2010 15:51

ikwym blondes, I want hot chocolate

GettinTrimmer · 30/11/2010 15:53

bebe, do those burnt orange things still keep their aroma? may be a silly question, I suppose you could make your own pot pourri too

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/11/2010 19:07

well both mb and db are stuck - both been trying to get home since 3pm - mb in london trains up the creek - db on m25 hasnt moved for hours

have put kids to bed and now me, smelly woofa and mb chocolate brownies

bebejones · 30/11/2010 20:14

Trimme - they smell faintly of oranges & I put a little cinnamon on them so they sort of smell Hmm

Our snow is all gone! :( Still f*&^@#g cold though!!!

I had leek & potato soup with a little grated cheddar & v small hm bread roll for dinner. Is our WA 2moro so have made a chocolate cake & will be partaking in a sizeable wedge small sliver! :o

GettinTrimmer · 30/11/2010 21:22

Gawd Blondes, is everyone any nearer to getting home now?

My niece is stuck at three bridges railway station. My sister is in West Sussex she says there is deep snow there.

I hope this is not famous last words, but we seem to have got off a bit lightly here atm, freezing sleety snow but not laying very much. Tomorrow will tell.

bebejones · 30/11/2010 21:32

We also got off lightly, I'm actually a little :( I like it when DH gets 'snowed in' with me! :) We only live a 5min walk from Tescos so it's not like we would starve or run out of stuff! Guess I'm lucky that he can work from home if he has to! Can't imagine how awful it must be commuting in snow/extreme cold!

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/11/2010 22:57

Mb in at 9pm. Took me nearly 90mins to do a 10/12min journey

Kent has been hit bad :(
