Piste is busily plumping up the cushions and making a space for Blondes to dump the naughty step.

Here we go! Let's see 2010 out in style my fellow Slinkies!

Day 17 now completed :) Can't say it is getting any easier though - although I am perhaps putting a bit more effort into the jumping jacks and double rope jumps (well, TBH - more a case of more of them are double rope jumps as opposed to plain jumps Blush). I was certainly dripping sweat by the end Grin

The dropping of the daytime nap is real loss - you ahve my sympathies bebe. We managed to eke ds' nap out until he was 3 - although it got later and later before we could persuade Wink him to have it. Fortunately, he was always a godd sleeper at night.

More square sausage for lunch todaay - I'll need to make sure that tonight's meal is nice and "good" Grin. Haven't yet decided what it will be though. It'll be carrot and ginger soup tomorrow though. :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/10/2010 14:20

poor you bebe :(

Grin

not stopping her sleep yet, oh no!! :0

CONFESSION TIME

i had a cheese scone with

butter

RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/10/2010 14:45

GT - I fancy most things Blush That has been my problem!

The bean soup sounds yum!

OP posts:
bebejones · 05/10/2010 14:58

Carrot & ginger soup here for lunch with a tiny granary roll, twas yummy! :)

Loss of naptime means that DD will happily go to bed earlier at night. She gets tired about half 4ish but that's too late for a nap if I want her in bed at a reasonable hour!

Blondes Envy at cheese scone

prettybird · 05/10/2010 15:06

My square sausage roll was yummy :) Proper square sausage from the butcher as opposed to the cheap stuff from the corner shop :)

At least I have trained myself to be satisfied with just one - unlike dh, who said he could have eaten a third after his two Hmm

RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/10/2010 15:08

oo oo oo oo Carrot and ginger soup here too Bebe, right here and right now!!

Sympathies on the sleep front, our DD gave up sleeping in the day very early on, and didn't sleep at night really either. She's fine at 13 though Grin

OP posts:
prettybird · 05/10/2010 15:14

Ds is his mother's son Grin

I can sleep anywhere......

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/10/2010 17:34

it was fab, they even warmed it for me so cheese bubbled on top

RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/10/2010 17:46

Pretty- the very next time I go to Scotland I am deffo going to have a square sausage. Deffo!

OP posts:
prettybird · 05/10/2010 18:05

Must be eaten with ketchup and a fresh morning roll Grin

RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/10/2010 18:13

Instead of ketchup, could one have brown sauce/HP sauce?

OP posts:
bebejones · 05/10/2010 18:16

Blondes - I love cheese scones! Almost as much as I love cheese muffins, toasted, with butter [longing emoticon]

I must try square sausage too!

GettinTrimmer · 05/10/2010 18:19

make room on naughty bench for me. I've had a mince pie.

bebejones · 05/10/2010 18:23

Shock Trimmer It's October!!

prettybird · 05/10/2010 18:33

Dh has them with brown/HP sauce sometimes.

But that is just wroooooong Wink

GettinTrimmer · 05/10/2010 18:48

I know Bebe, but Sainsbury's have them and they are my weakness Blush

Pretty, dh has mince pies with brown sauce? Shock Or do you mean cheese scones, that sounds a bit more like it.

My ex used to drink rum and worcester sauce, never heard of anything more Hmm.

prettybird · 05/10/2010 18:55

The brown sauce was for the square sausage in a roll - although tomato ketchup is the correct alternative accompaniment 'cos dh is wrong.

I make a mean cheese muffin which you finish off with some Worcestershire sauce (a Nigella recipe) :)

GettinTrimmer · 05/10/2010 19:04

Which book is it in? Did you see Nigella last week? She made a peanut butter chocolate cheesecake with "a hint of inner thigh wibble"

prettybird · 05/10/2010 19:08

No I didn't - I forgot about it.

It's in Nigella Eats: one of the breakfast dishes. I make them for our Easter Egg Hunt brunch.

I'm currently drinking a "Rock Shandy": a nice low-cal, non alcoholic alternative to a G&T. Smidgeon of angastura bitters served with low cal tonic and ice and lemon.

bebejones · 05/10/2010 19:14

Trimmer - That cheescake looked amazing! Loved the look of the chicken noodle soup too! Yum! DH thinks I'm odd watching foodie programmes when I'm dieting. I just tell him it's 'food porn' :o

Pretty - I love cheese muffins, they are a weakness of mine!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/10/2010 19:30

I have enough inner thigh wibble without adding to it!

Is it only me and Pretty not on the naughty step then?

But I am so certain I won't have lost by Friday. I seemed to have stopped. But am being good, how fair is that? Not.

OP posts:
prettybird · 05/10/2010 19:40

I think the square sauasge means I need to squeeze on to the naughty step, even if I am good with the evening meal Blush

Currently thnking of having a frittata type omelette as dh will be in late after a meeting at the rugby club and I have some cooked new potatoes I could add. Will go easy on the parmesan though :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/10/2010 20:16

Just me then not on the naughty step

Piste tap dances across the floor Finishing her tap routine with a final flourish, Piste bows to the (held captive) Slinkies on the naughty step.

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 05/10/2010 20:43

piste, there is room for you if need be

the bench is wide and long Grin

Murtette · 05/10/2010 21:20

The bench needs to be wide & long to accommodate my extra large ass. A week of my mum's cooking undid a lot of weeks of hard work. I ate cakes, puddings with cream (I'd forgotten how delicious cream is) & biscuits. On a positive note, I don't think I ate any chocolate.
WW weigh in tomorrow morning. Aaaaargh! At least I'll know what the damage is then. I'm going to try and be supremely good for the next couple of weeks until DD's bday to see if I can be 12stone for that.
I'm having a clothes crisis. I so want to go and buy some new clothes but know that I won't like how anything looks on me until I get to 11st 6 or less so can't decide whether to get some interim clothes now or wait. I really want a jumper dress and leggings but they will NOT look good on my short, stumpy little legs at the moment.

Piste - good thread name!
