Yippee down to 10st this morning and back at pre Christmas weight. I love dukan. I have been really focused the last few days and have upped the exercise. Although I think the loss is water I feel much less bloated so that is ok.

gymbunnynot · 06/01/2011 09:07

Whats the secret to make galette that don't disintergrate into a pile of mush?
The book rekons you can make lots and freeze, in my case that would be lots of frozen mush!

On day three and feeling woozy, is that normal?

greenfig · 06/01/2011 09:29

Morning! Well done cairns you deserve it RUNNING! A shift for me too hurrah!! 1lb down & 1 more to go to lowest pre Christmas weight. Am struggling to get back in the zone
here though, perhaps now babes back at school I'll have more routine. Drop will spur me on. Have a wedding next week (am guest not caterer yippeee!) so will have another 2 days wobble. Actually can fit in dresses & have a choice of what to wear, stupidly overexcited...Blush
gymbunny you may need to cook slightly longer before turning. I made once but found them gopping so haven't since. No wooziness, are you eating & drinking enough? You shouldn't go hungry, infact following lots of protein I often have a drop. Hurry & weigh in thrones & wildlife Good luck Wink

gymbunnynot · 06/01/2011 09:45

Greenfig, I feel like I am eating loads! The galette mush is very filling and the amount of protein eating I am sure is going to bring on caveman instincts! Drinking so much that am up lots in the night... ho hum, will keep going, nothing ventured nothing gained or in this case lost!

well done lottie freaky how much water you retain. I think a lot of my xmas weight was water.

gymbunny I felt really ropey for the attack phase too, I think it was my carbladen body was trying to adjust to the ups and downs of blood sugar changes. Agree eating a lot and drinking a lot helps.

greenfig I would be excited about the wedding too. I was soo excited about some Xmas parties I went to as I could fit back into some dresses again. Focus over the next week and you will look and feel fabulous.

I have learned how to link... tada here is a link to the recipe thread that Lottie has set up...

greenfig · 06/01/2011 10:21

Not sure lottie Certainly a feeling of 'almost good enough' shape wise (in clothes that is!!!)but that is in comparison to old self so all relative! & yet I have a strong compulsion to see the target no. on the scales Confused Am not at all competetive or ambitious usually so strange for me. Have been doing that 'I want something' gazing into fridge though not feeling hungry. I guess its less satisfaction from diet after having occasional treats for 2 weeks. Lge glass of wine prob hindered resolve last night (husband had interview excuse) although am now v pleased I didn't weaken as 1 lb down!

gymbunnynot · 06/01/2011 10:37

London lottie, twas me that was going to do shred dvd for new year, going to eat something elese to try to stave off woozie head then unwrap. Will report back...

greenfig · 06/01/2011 10:49

Could be good news-I'm sure I read that ketosis can make you woozy. Hopefully your body will adjust then you'll feel betterSmile

Crikey lottie how many lbs is that now in a week. Amazing.

Had a minor blip last night , I missed dinner so had a glass of red wine and some cheese late. Still the same this morning though.

Also bought a new cookery book in the sales ( one pot cooking , my favourite type Grin). There are quite a few good recipes that can be easily adapted (chicken with fennel, tarragon and creme fraiche etc) so I'll let you know.

Did anyone watch that program on losing weight last night on bbc1, top 10 tips it went through a lot of research and science simply. It makes real sense now why dukan works as it was on about how constantly eating protein is great etc etc

No loss here today but had a big try on of clothes that although I could still sqeeeeze into made me look v frumpy & I like them all again now! Also fitting back into jeans that I haven't worn in years! I loved them so much they escaped the charity bin,so am a happy girl. I too need to do more toning lottie. Running is def outfor me & I do pilates but arms & tum particularly need some work. What is shred? Shall I just type recipes onto here or is there somewhere else I have to do it?

greenfig · 07/01/2011 13:10

cairns I caught the last part of it & thought the same thing. Infact everything I read at the mo seems to reinforce that Dukan works. Well it has for us!

Ta Daa! Have made a start. Thanks lottie told you I was computer idiot!
Will put more on later, must finish shoot lunch & pick up children from school...

cairns · 07/01/2011 14:57

lottie I have been tempted with the shred too it sounds like agony but worth it to tone up.

greenfig I have been feeling frumpy in the old clothes I try on too. But pregnancies close together, breastfeeding and holding onto that baby weight has meant that the 'old' clothes are at least 5 years old and I realised it was not me being frumpy ( well maybe a little bit Grin )but fashions have changed be it the cut of a dress, top etc. Go to the shops in the sales and have a good try on there. I felt so much better when I recently went shopping for the first time in years!

One positive of dukan is I am far far more adventurous a cook , guess what is for dinner.....braised Pheasant cooked with red cabbage ( it was on offer at the butchers and I thought why not!). I am feeling a need to be more adventurous and I am enjoying cooking again which is great

TeenageWildlife · 07/01/2011 17:50

Thanks for posting recipes - these are going to be useful. Just on day two of Attack and feeling tired and woozy. Dreamed I was eating cake and oranges last night!
Wasn't sure if fruit tea is okay so have been drinking hot water which is actually a really nice way of getting the water down on a cold day.
Question - is it okay to have a whole cup of skimmed milk now and then on Attack?

NurseySA · 07/01/2011 20:06

Hello everyone, just checking in! Everyone else is doing so well, unfortunately I seem to have come to a bit of a stop already!! Sticking to the rules religiously, but weight still 68kgs. I have started weighing myself on my new set of snazzy digital scales, so that might explain the stalling a bit, I hope!!
Been going for a 40 minute walk every night, and tonight I started the 30 day shred DVD!! So freaking exhausted, struggling to hold my arms up to type Shock
DH is doing really well, his weight this morning was 110.3kgs, so he's lost almost 8kgs Envy, tomorrow he has a rugby game so not sure if his resolve will last when they all hit the bar!
I've finally got a whole weekend off work, so am really going to hit the exercise.
Good luck all!!

Oooh greenfig have fun at the wedding. I bet you look and feel fabulous.

I am like that too lottie on my PP days I am saintly yet on PV I eat so so much. Go on give the shred a go and post back how you do Grin... now you know you will have to. I have started running again only recently and it was really tough to get motivated for the first run (and it was agony) but it is amazing how quickly you get better and how good you feel. I now use a run to destress as it is my time away from the kids, it really works.

Well I am now under (yes under!) 10stone, it is amazing I think I have had such a block of that weight for so long it feels odd to be actually under it!

PandaBear · 10/01/2011 08:37

Hi Everyone. Sounds like you're all doing so well. I feel a bit bad as I just don't seem to be able to stick religiously to the diet at the weekends. I'm fine at breakfast and lunch but by the time dinner comes around, I get the munchies! I wonder if it's because I'm up and about far more at the weekend???? Or maybe it's the wine that I allow myself?? Anyway, that being said - I'm down 3.5lbs this week, so all in all it's fine but anyone any tips for keeping the resolve up at the weekend????
