Oh bloody hell! I have gained 3lbs aftyer a serious falling off the wagon, Madras curry and rice, New York cheesecake, Pizza and a big slice of homemade Bramley Apple pie with vanilla cream.....

The little one ran me ragged and I was in company and eating what everyone else ate, just gave in. back on the straight and narrow...

Two boiled eggs for brekkie. smoked salmon, galette and 2% greek yoghurt for lunch and a couple of muller lights f/f yoghurts for snacks. Dinner to be decided..

However, I have to say I enjoyed every mouthful and I know it was all calorie dense stuff but it might have given me a metabolic boost and will make attack happen a bit faster than last time??? What an unrepentant sinner I am Blush

Great news for you INTC I am soooo with you as I was in the same situation.. 7lbs in 4 weeks!

ihatethecold · 25/10/2010 12:20

thanks zaaazaa,
just put it behind you and get back on the wagon today!
how much have you lost so far and over what time span, if you dont mind me asking?

zaazaa · 25/10/2010 16:09

7lbs in 4 weeks despite being super good Hmm

ihatethecold · 25/10/2010 18:42

pretty much same as me.. lets keep plodding on

cairns · 26/10/2010 12:25

7lbs is great. I have always been pretty useless at attempting to lose weight, so 7lbs is fab.

I am still sticking to it here, 5.5lbs down now although I am expecting it to go down more slowly now the 1st 10 days are up. I am finding it surprisingly easy to stick to due to its simplicity. I was baking cupcakes with DS yesterday and normally that is lethal territory for me but not even a morsel. The smell of all the sugar made me feel quiet nauseous in fact. I have been trying to step up the exercise this week too, so will see what happens.

I have MIL staying from Thurs who is a big foodie, and to try and avoid the comments/looks I have devised a food plan of action that everyone can eat (and I can avoid carbs) and will just have PV days (so I have been on P days for 3 days this week). So thurs will be fish boullibaise for everyone (I will avoid any bread), I will finish it off on the Fri (while they have a pie!) Sat will be chicken casserole and Sunday fish in caper sauce or Seared Tuna salad. Tee Hee! We'll see how it goes, visitors for me in the past have been the huge stumbling block to me attempting to lose weight!

ihatethecold · 28/10/2010 09:22

wooohooo 9lbs down!

zaazaa · 28/10/2010 11:06

Ok since my mega blowout, I have been good for the last day and am down from 13st 8 3/4lbs to 13 st 6 1/2lbs...long may it continue
IHTC that's brilliant!

zaazaa · 29/10/2010 12:53

13 st 5 1/4lbs this morning - back to where I started before my blowout and it has come off faster this time than the first time. Grin

cairns How is it going with MIL? Has she rumbled your cunning plan yet? LOL!

londonlottie hope all is ok, what a distressing time for you all. Wine is a great solace when something happens. I am finding you can easily get back on with things as it is quite easy to follow and as dukan says it is what you do after that counts just start with attack days when you are ready

well I am 2.5 weeks in now and have lost 8 lbs which is great, although I too have some vino now. we have had a hospital few days too but noway as stressful. Dh as had cellultis in his arm so they kept him in for a few days iv antibiotics. Mil is here too so avoiding the wine would mean suspecting pregnancy so I must oblige. PP days planned for when she leaves Grin

cairns · 30/10/2010 09:36

Well done zaazaa that is great , nope mil has not rumbled yet so far it has worked, although she did raise an eyebrow at my boiled eggs for lunch yesterday, everyone had mussels last night for dinner, only cheat has been a glass of wine but that would be too suspicious.

I still feel great on this , and the day mil arrived the scales dropped 0.7kg I was staggered . It does work!

Hope you all have a fun Halloween And manage to
avoid the treats !

mamamila · 30/10/2010 09:41

hi can i join please??
i started attack on tues, today is day 5 and i've lost 2kg (about 4lbs?) which is helping to motivate me to continue..
i've never tried a proper diet before but trying to eat healthily has had no effect on my weight and i have 2 stone to lose. so i'm quite impressed so far. it's not too hard but boring i agree. and expensive. i'm wolfing down packs of ham all day!
how do you know when to stop the attack phase and move onto the next?

ihatethecold · 30/10/2010 11:46

hi mamamilla..
when you cant stomach another bit of protein.. just kidding..
i think the max is 5 days. i did it for 2 as i dont have loads to lose.
well done on your initial loss.

londonlottie.. hope your ok. what a horrid time you have had. thinking of you.
im sure you will get back on to the diet, just make sure you look after yourself aswell.Smile

Londonlottie - really pleased to hear that your daughter is on the mend.

As for me.... a big massive blow out over half term! Back on the wagon today, I suppose - although this is the first time, I don't really feel motivated. HELP!

lottie really pleased to hear that your dd is on the mend - what a stressful time you have been having.

Panda lottie is right, just get back on the wagon and see how you go, I found that, wierdly, when I fell off the wagon, the weight loss then actually came easier than when I stuck to the diet religiously Confused

Stage three is still going well. I have become far more relaxed in my outlook now and really do feel like I am going to be able to maintain my loss. I am being pretty careful about what I eat - not really doing bread, except when out for dinner etc, and sticking to the general low-carb principles, with one day a week is protein only. I am really aware though that my tendancy to over eat crap is still there and I need to make sure that I do not take my eye off the ball - I am ashamed to admit I stuffed my face with the best part of a tube of pringles over the weekend Blush

Keep going everyone.

zaazaa · 01/11/2010 13:53

Lottie hope all is well and sorry you have had such a horrid time of it

PandaBear · 02/11/2010 08:11

Thanks Lottie and inspook. Took your advice and weighed this morning - amazingly I only put on 0.4lbs so feeling much more motivated this morning. Am determined to shift another half stone before the Christmas parties start!

divadoll · 02/11/2010 14:11

Hiya ladies, just started my Dukan for the second time this year as I didnt consolidate and so it has all crept back on again. I am currently 11 and half stone and want to get down to under 10 as I am only 5'4" and this should bring me back to a tight 10 easy 12 in clothes. I execise every weekday and so am pretty heavy for my size but found this diet the best to cope with the hunger pains. Having tried the Cambridge (which did work...one and half stone in 3 weeks) 5 years ago...I am finding that its harder to go completely food free like that again.
Your successes are an inspiration for me to get that stone and half off again and consolidate properly this time.

Hi Ladies
Been ploughing through Dr Dukan's book and must admit that given his 35 years in this field it is rather scary when he says your fat memory cells remember the largest you ever were and are itching to get back there once you start any regime that your body is not used to (no wonder weight gain comes very easy without managing the consolidation part!) so am being very very careful to get it right since watching both myself, my husband, friends and family gain weight easily after losing it is something I do not wish to do again and Dr Dukan has a way of reintroducing foods to insure this ultimately does not happen - so do recommend the book to any who have yet to buy it!!!
Am now almost 7 weeks in and down 28lbs - do not feel like this is a 'diet' at all and am really off bread, fats and chocolate cravings like you would not believe! The weight loss has slowed and my husband is at a plateau (8 days at 14 stones) but we are simply doing what Dr Dukan says and are upping the walking to an hour a day and drinking more water - he also says that by eating the veg with the protein - it will slow you down but when you alternate back to pure protein it will burn off the water held in the veggies... so now only another 3 stones to go! Am off to make some oatbran porridge with some splenda... splendid! Keep going ladies, loving all your comments and hope you can see the end in sight - we will all get there with each other's support here :) Love and lighter bodies to you all, PP

divadoll · 03/11/2010 11:59

Weighed in this morning Confused 74.5kg (11st10.2lb) so not a happy chappy...but am going to start this again to get down to nearer 64..the magic 10stone mark! I hope to lose at least 3 kilos before the end of the year for the big Xmas bashes, but we will see Shock
