Don't worry Dandy. There could be many reasons why she offered you a seat. It doesn't matter. Just carry on with your diet/exercise so you feel better, and look better.

I am NOT in the zone. Someone slap me please.

dinkystinky · 28/11/2010 15:42

My job here is done

thedogwalker · 28/11/2010 16:07

Oh Dandy, I do hope you're feeling better today, just look at it another way, you actually got a seat, something which you pay for but rarely get, bonus Smile.

Shaxx, hope you're back in the zone and well done Dinky for helping out so quickly.

Anyway there has been alot of talk about naughty eating at weekends and stay away from the chocolate, well I would just like to add that a little bit of naughtiness, once a week is good for you. For one it keeps up your morale, but two.... it helps keep your body working. If all you ever ate was low fat this and low fat that your body would start storing more of the carbs you do eat as it would go into starvation mode. The trick is to keep your body guessing.

sorry pep talk over Grin. Hope not offended anybody as I'm new to this page.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I've had some chocolate on Friday but have been good yesterday and so far today Wink. Take care xx

Undertone · 28/11/2010 17:03

I'll second dogwalker's advice to keep your body guessing. For example:

Went on a hee-yooge 4-hour walk cross-country with a pal yesterday (good) followed by 2 pints of cider and a baked potato in a pub (bad), I then helped dad in the garden and had a protein-only dinner (good) but then I woke up this morning and had two cold sausages after my weetabix (bad). Sunday trains getting back up to London meant I was waiting and shivering in the cold for an hour (good? burns calories, no?) but I got the bus to sainsbury's instad of walking (bad). Now am drinking a glass of wine and cooking a roast (bad) for my brother who's coming over in a bit to fix my old laptop.

All in all, my body is probably going 'WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?' and I hope its conclusion will be 'fuck it - let's just lose some weight.'

Hmm

Normal brutal zoning wll return tomorrow, depending on how cold I feel...

Slobbadan · 28/11/2010 18:36

Want to confess to minor dicrepancys

Saturday i had 2 mince pies and 3 small shortbread biscuits

Today one mince pie and plan on another with a coffee with exfactor

but i have shredded both days and yesterday i shoveled copious amounts of snow and pulled kids around on the sledge and have had no bread or potatoes today

breakfast today was

3 slices of smokey bacon (grilled)
scrambeled egg (made with semi sk milk) and roasted cherry toms

dinner mince and pots (with out the pots) and broccoli and carrots, no yorkshire pudding

snacks 2 satsumas, apple and 2 mince pies

So who is doin pep talk tomorrow? im no good at such things im afraid

Shaxx · 28/11/2010 19:46

Thanks for that Dinky. Being unconscious is great for abstaining from food! Grin
Now that I'm shackled somewhere inside The Zone, I have no choice but to surrender.

I have not shredded today and I'm not sure if I can tomorrow. I'd have to be starting to Shred at 5.45! I don't think I can get up that early on cold, dark wintery mornings.

I can't do Monday pep talks unless its in the evening as I don't mn at work. I can do Sundays though for future reference.
And thedogwalker gave a pretty good one today.

Dandy - he well fancied you. Smile

iluvcake · 28/11/2010 21:42

Just read through the latest posts. Dandylioness, would def. second what Shaxx said but glad you've had a better day-30% discount at Gap-get you!

This weekend, am subscribing to thedogwalkers philosophy to keep your body guessing. Unfortunately, I think my body probably doesn't have to guess anymore. It'll be thinking "oh yes, here we go, another piece of chocolate"Sad

Weekends de-rail me a bit but hopefully back to it tomorrow (fingers X).

dinkystinky · 28/11/2010 21:46

Goodness dandy - on saturday you hook a lesbian, on sunday a young man (said in comedy voice). You are well hot my friend Wink

Looking forward to my monday pep talk from la lioness...

justaminute · 29/11/2010 09:35

A good but non zone weekend was had here, too. Did we all let our losses go to our heads and blow out? I'm liking the "shock your body into weightloss by having a blow out" theory

Masses of steely detmination will be required by me this week, I dropped ds at nursery this am and discovered I'd won the cake in the guess the weight of the cake competition in his Xmas fair at the weekend.

However, I've put on my zone dress and suck it all in pants today so that I physically can't continue the biffing. I'm eagerly awaiting our rallying call to superslimness from Dandylioness (no pressure Wink)

Slobbadan · 29/11/2010 09:53

well apart from the Mince pie binges im doing well as im still at the same weight i was on fri so its a bonus!

Im also on day 3 of the dredded shred and im shattered, but determined to stay in the zone.

also waiting on great speach of inspiration

dinkystinky · 29/11/2010 09:56

Yay to the zone dress Justaminute. Do you ahve a xmas fair coming up for any of your kids/neighbours kids? If so, you could donate the cake to that and feel all virtuous and zone like at the same time!

Slobbadan - hows the back doing?

Made the most lovely leek and potato soup last night - just leek, garlic, potato, chicken stock and some mixed herbs and it was lovely. Tonight is going to be mixed peppers and sweetcorn soup. Love soup weather!

Slobbadan · 29/11/2010 10:08

dinky my back is about 95% better, i can exercise etc but it twinges now and again and im aware not to make it worse iyswim?

How is your back doing? have you been able to manage any exercise?

Also what is a Zone dress? is this a dress we want to wear when thin?

dinkystinky · 29/11/2010 10:27

Its a dress that will split if you biff Grin

Back much better - going to try exercise today (bodycombat at lunchtime) to see how it holds out..

justaminute · 29/11/2010 10:28

Good thinking Dinky. It is dd's Xmas fair Saturday but I've already told dh, his response was "woohoo cake!" Might let him and dcs polish it off.

Slobbadan - my zone dress is a black jersey thing - fitted at the waist then flared. I have to breathe in all day and not eat anything bad for fear of looking six months pregnant.

justaminute · 29/11/2010 10:29

x post with Dinky - she has described the dress perfectly!

Slobbadan · 29/11/2010 11:23

Ahh i see, well i have plenty of those!!

Justaminute, stay away from the cake! Let your DH polish it off, you will feel so much better for it!

Dinky glad your back is feeling better and im terrified of anything called "bodycombat"!

iluvcake · 29/11/2010 11:27

Am stuck at home with poorly DSSad.

Good news is have no biffing foods in cupboard so knocking back the water and pu-erh tea (yes, I bought some encyclogirl-have to say-an acquired taste but am perservering).

Might make a grot pot soup (whatever I can find it cupboard).

Glad to hear backs are getting better, take it easy with the bodycombat dinky!

justaminute, purely out of interest.....what kind of cake is it? Wink

seeing as you can't go out to buy cake I'll induge you iluv - it is 907g of sugar & marzipan laden fruit cake. It's going to be hard to resist.

justaminute · 29/11/2010 12:40

Woops totally wrong time to xpost with talk of cake. I consider myself told off.

iluvcake · 29/11/2010 12:42

Wow, Dandylioness, thanks for thatSmile.

That's given me a right kick up the arse.

Justaminute, that cake sounds yum but my body is a temple....

iluvcake · 29/11/2010 12:43

Don't blame yourself justamin-twas all my faultGrin!
