Buda always think your choice of food sounds delicious and fab.

BudaisintheZONE · 04/11/2010 16:15

Thanks Dukes!

Buda, your food sounds yum!

Tonight I am attempting Hugh FW's Butternut squash and peanut butter soup. That would be right up your street ;)

Guitar, WW is really good and very doable. It works much better if you do it as a group I think. My big prob with it is carb creep, but in the past I have been very successful with it. I would recommend it highly.

Weigh in tomorrow, be back for that!

Guitargirl · 05/11/2010 08:05

WI today and am the same as last Friday - 11 stone 12. Considering I was 11 stone 13.75 when I weighed on Tues am ok with that. Aim is to be 11 stone 9 by next Friday!

Good luck everyone!

dinkystinky · 05/11/2010 09:01

Guitargirl - good start! Hope you stay in the zone.

WI today and I'm now 10.06 stone (so just under 1.5lbs lost since last WI). I suspect the fact I've been totally busy at work (too busy to eat) and have been put off food by wisdom teeth pain may be the reason for that loss but hey, at least I'll be where I want to be weight wise for my birthday tomorrow Grin

justaminute · 05/11/2010 10:09

Happy birthday for tomorrow Dinky, hope you are celebrating in style. Ignore that 0.06 - you are 10 stone - Wooh, wooh Grin

It's my ds's birthday tomorrow too. I'm preparing to entertain 20 little ones. My kitchen is looking like a cake shop at the mo - it could be carnage tomorrow.

dinkystinky · 05/11/2010 10:28

Wow Justaminute, you're brave for having the party at your house! Hope your DS has a great birthday - I love that bonfire night falls just before my birthday (DH's birthday was yesterday so its like 3 days of celebrations Grin). Actually out to a gig at the RAH tonight to celebrate - looking forward to it.

justaminute · 05/11/2010 10:36

I'm mad but not totally barking - we've hired a hall Grin

BudaisintheZONE · 05/11/2010 11:13

encyclogirl - soup sounds good!

Happy WI day everyone. I weighed in but didn't get time to post earlier. Down a kilo (2.2 pounds) since Wednesday! Although still feeling chesty and very worried about my Dad who finds out results of bone scan today so had a pain au chocolate at a friend's house this morning. I was starving even though I had had my porridge before I went.

Was good yesterday. Have some eggs boiling now for lunch. Dinner tonight will be chicken fajitas.

Happy birthday for tomorrow dinky! It is one of my very good friend's birthday tomorrow too so we are off out for dinner tomorrow night.

justaminute - happy baking!

Good morning everyone!

Buda, hope you are feeling better soon, well done on getting back into the zone and your weight loss! So sorrySad to hear about your dad, hope the news is good.

dinky, happy birthday for tomorrowSmile. That's a great weight loss-you will be looking dinkyslinky for your birthday!

Hope the party goes well justaminute-just try and stay away from the party cakesGrin.

I'm afraid to say I have put on two pounds since my last weigh in two weeks agoSad. I'm now 10.05st. The good news is I am easing myself back into the zone. I've done a hard pilates class and a boot camp session this week and am aiming to crank up the exercise.

I have yo-yoed up and down for so long, this is my pattern. I want to break this pattern but you may have to be patient with meBlush. This thread is helping me no end.

BudaisintheZONE · 05/11/2010 16:19

Dad's news good! Cancer only in prostate. Phew! Relief all round. Did Tesco in a daze and have no idea what i bought. I know I bought wine though! Grin

dinkystinky · 05/11/2010 17:06

Glad the results were good Buda - enjoy celebrating tonight.

Iluv - you can do it! Binge and purge is not a good way to weightloss and hard on your body - you just need to find a middle ground where you're happy and get small treats without having to biff out.

iluvcake · 05/11/2010 20:11

Glad to hear that Buda. Think you deserve some wine!

Thanks dinky. You are right. I know I'll get there. Even if I have a bad day, I'm going to keep at it!

Guitargirl · 06/11/2010 08:09

Fab news Buda! Grin

Happy Birthday Dinky! Grin

dinkystinky · 08/11/2010 09:21

Thanks ladies - have had a bifftastic birthday weekend and feel like have put on all the weight I lost (fingers crossed I havent) so straight back in on the straight and narrow today...

justaminute · 08/11/2010 09:44

You may be pleasantly surprised Dinky. After a weekend of party food biffing I have lost 1lb Smile.

I think the nervous energy helped. I was up until 1.30am Friday night finishing the cake, filling party bags etc and then the birthday boy was awake at 5.30am wanting to go to his party.

It has caught up with me today, I feel like I'm running on empty which could be dangerous biff grounds. Lots of water needed me thinks.

Hope everyone else had a good weekend

iluvcake · 08/11/2010 11:24

dinky, glad to hear you had a great daySmile!

Well done, justaminute, that brilliant-No wonder you feel tired though, lol!

Plenty of fruit teas!

I've had porridge this morning, done a shred workout and have listened to Paul Mckenna. Am feeling like I'm back in the zone...

encyclogirl · 08/11/2010 13:47

Buda, that is good news!

Dinky, Birthday biffage is ok right?
Justa, congrats on the weight loss. That is excellent

I lost a pound last week. Now down to 9 7. Inching my way towards 9 4 pound by pound...

BudaisintheZONE · 09/11/2010 09:28

Hi all.

Am still here.

Biffed at weekend. As per usual.

And have a chest infection so feeling sorry for myself. Went to doc so am now loaded up with drugs. Antibiotic, probiotic, something to build up my immune system as this is the third time I have had this since August, multi vit and vit c. Phew.

Ate fairly well yesterday. Porridge with a banana and flaked almonds for breakfast, rye bread with hard boiled egg and some mayo for lunch, some peanuts for snack and then dinner was a lentil and sausage stew with a baked potato. Did eat some crisps that DH opened.

Today have had a huge bowl of porridge with some fruit puree for breakfast.

Should really walk dogs. Will see how it goes.

Oh dear Buda - hope you are feeling better soon - food sounds yum, nice warm comforting grub - it's making me hungry.

I've worn a jersey dress (with obligatory suck it all in knickers) to work today. I physically can't biff this morning as I'm having to hold my tummy in Grin

dinkystinky · 09/11/2010 11:03

Hope you feel better soon Buda.

Encylo - remember slow and steady is the best way to get there.

Lol at your stay in the zone dress Justaminute - we should all have one!

iluvcake · 09/11/2010 12:56

Hi Buda, so sorry to hear you are ill, chest infections are really nasty. Look after yourself.

I am the same as you. Have been eating really well for all my meals and snacks, but the odd sugary, chocolate things keep creeping in. I've been food shopping this morning and have managed to resist putting ANY biscuits or chocolate in my trolley. I'm doing quite a bit of exercise at the moment so that is helping.

I find it SO hard to not have any sugar in the house. The other night I was literally climbing the walls craving something, I kept looking in the cupboards and fridge. The trouble is, if I have it in the house, I just eat it allBlush. Wish I could be like those supermodels that boast they have a "square of chocolate every third day!, lol!

It's going to be a long, slow haul for me but I'm determined!

justaminute, lol-what a good idea! Hope you haven't starved yourself todayWink.

justaminute · 10/11/2010 09:43

I can breathe today. The Zone dress (liking that dinky) has made way for comfy trousers.

Inspired by Buda I made a red lentil & chicken curry last night - was yum. There was a bit of biscuit blow out but a minor blip compared to my previous existence Wink

I need a kick up the bum to get back into exercising. The cold winter nights are not motivating me to go out and run nor are they making me want to get sweaty with the Shred.

iluvcake · 10/11/2010 10:48

justaminute, your curry sounds lovely! If it's an easy recipe and not too much typing, could you put it on here?

You've done SO well. When you think about where we were a couple of weeks before-depressed and feeling as if we had no control over our eating. The exercise will come-I agree-it's hard to get motivated in this weather. I can always think of a million excuses!

Today am firmly in the zone! Ate well yesterday afternoon but morning not so good (muffin at a mums coffee morning, so that wasn't good and two packs of Sunburst Bites on way home from Tesco. I was starving and thought it was probably the muffin that sent my blood sugar haywire?)

In the afternoon, lunch:-Butternut Squash and Red Pepper soup with a slice of rye bread.
Snacks:- Dried apricots and some almonds
Satsuma

Dinner:- Beef stew with veg but no mash. Cup of fruit tea before bed.

This morning:- Banana and couple of almonds and cup of coffee before school run.

Shred session and then two boiled eggs with slice of wheat free toast with scraping of pure spread. Some red grapes.

Lots of water every day.

I am having 2-3 cups of coffee a day as I find it fills me up. I know caffeine isn't good for blood sugar levels. Any thoughts ladies? Do most of you still drink it?

dinkystinky · 10/11/2010 11:26

Iluvcake - I have one skinny latte a day (in the morning on my way to work) during the working week and cup of tea or 2 over the weekend - otherwise its herbal tea and water all the way. I think 2-3 cups of coffee isnt that bad though - provided you dont chuck in half a pack of sugar with each drink.
