And a very good morning to you all!

New thread!!!!!!! As promised.

Weighed in and have lost the holiday kilo. So back to 15 st 3. Am still amazed that I only gained a kilo. There was NO restraint!

Goal now to get to 15 st.

Well done all! I'm down .5lb. Which is good seeing as I already weighed in on Monday.

That puts me at exactly 10stone. This is where it gets really difficult for me.

The last time I got under 10 stone was this time last year and I'd trained all summer for the Great North Run. As soon as I was finished running I was biffing.

Soooo this is the big test I guess.

Well done Guitar and Buda. Great going.

Mama, stick with me kid, I've found my mojo and I'm keeping it Goddammit!

BudaisintheZONE · 24/09/2010 10:17

Well done all. Guitargirl - great to have a loss like that just before your holiday! Where are you off to? Make me jealous!

mamamiafigaro - good idea to dig out the WW books. I would do the same but am afraid of the carbs. But I do need to dig something out as am getting fed up with what we are eating. Need some healthy inspiration.

encyclogirl - well done! you can do it. Are you still running? I want to do Couch to 5K but keep putting it off.

I realised while out walking the dog that the pound I lost is a 'new' pound! I was 15 st 3 on 16 July. Have gained and lost the same few pounds since then but am now under that 15 st 3. Yay!

mamamiafigaro · 24/09/2010 14:23

Well i went to get weighed at boots and they are re-doing the store so have no scales at the mo! Typical.

So i have after much browsing and checking reviews, reserved a pair from Argos.

So i should hopfully get an acurate reading and not gain 2/3 lbs in 2 hrs.

Im now scared im heavier than i think i am.

BudaisintheZONE · 24/09/2010 15:53

Ooh. Not good. I know what you mean! I bought some cheap ones in Sainsburys in the summer when we were home and weighed about 6 lbs heavier! If you do weigh heavier don't take it to heart. Just take it as your start weight on that scales. And then next week take the loss from your current weight.

OP posts:
mamamiafigaro · 24/09/2010 16:24

Buda - im prepaired for the worst dont worry and im also making sure i stick to the diet and not go into a deppresed im fatter than i was mode.

Also they are WW and got the best review.

Any hoo today -

Breakfast - 2 slices of toast and a pear

Lunch - 4 oat cakes and eat smart pate with a smidgen of redcurrent jelly, and a banana

Snack- piece of HM flapjack

Dinner - will be HM pizza (on a wrap for the base) with oven chips and eatsmart garlic bread. (im starving).

Then im gonna log my points for the day and avoid DP as he bought a tin of Roses AND a tin of Celebrations and has declaired thy are not for christmas.

mamamiafigaro · 24/09/2010 18:57

Ok weighed in on new digi scales and im 14st 5 1/2 lb - only a 2.5 increase, and could of been way worse.

Sooooo hopefully i will have a better time with these (although slightly disheartened when DP weighed the exact same!)

BudaisintheZONE · 25/09/2010 07:01

So are you taking the new weight as your weight? You loss next week will still be the same but very frustrating to weigh heavier - esp as DP didn't. Bummer.

Well I have some Friday night naughtiness to confess.

Half a brownie. Medicinal. Bought for DS and had said to him that I would like a corner. On way home from shop almost got sideswiped by a total and utter idiot. Was driving in middle lane and a car came from inside lane without even looking never mind indicating. My instinctive reaction was to swerve into the outside lane. Thank God there was nothing there. I BLASTED the guy with my horn and got a feeble wave in response. Was SO angry and shaking when we got home. So had my corner of the brownie and then DS decided he didn't like it so gave me the rest. I had another bite and then put the rest in the bin!

2 crisps.

2 chips.

Dinner was fajitas - I had two tortillas and had yoghurt and salsa on mine instead of the sour cream and cheese that DH had on his.

So all in all not TOO bad.

Am out for dinner tonight with DH though. But instead of my previous few weekends with one night out leading to a weekend of piggery I am planning on zoning all day today until tonight and straight back in zone tomorrow.

OP posts:
mamamiafigaro · 25/09/2010 07:58

My confession from last night is about 10 celebrations and a 1/2 pint of pepsi......but considering all the crisps and other things i resisted i dont think i did too bad.

Tortilla Pizza was so scrummy and less than half the fat of DP and kids (only put a small sprinkle of cheese on).

Buda i am goint by my new official weight of 14st 5 1/2 and starting fresh, feel quite positive today depite being heavier than i thought i was.

I have not had Fajitas for ages, may have them on the cards this week.

BudaisintheZONE · 25/09/2010 09:20

10 celebrations is not too bad for a Friday night.

I often make tortilla pizza for DS as a quick dinner. Very handy. And as you say much less fatty than normal ones.

The fajitas were good. It's a regular Friday night dinner here. That or curry. I normally buy the Old El Paso packet mix and we really like that but we tried one we got in Sainsburys - can't remember the name but it is in a cardboard packet with little round plastic separate pots for the various herbs and spices. Healthier than the Old El Paso which I am sure has lots of sugar and e-numbers.

mamamiafigaro · 25/09/2010 10:30

I totted up my point from yesterday and i went over by 14!!!!!

Im only supposed to have 25 a day, but 11 of those were the coke and celebrations (other 2 were extra slice of garlic bread). Will not repeat that again in a hurry! Just have to dodge the Roses, Heros and the rest of the Celebrations.......its gonna be a long week till weigh in.

BudaisintheZONE · 25/09/2010 11:15

How many points per Celebration? Allow yourself 2 a night?

OP posts:
mamamiafigaro · 25/09/2010 11:38

Not sure on the ponits per sweet as i was going on gereral ponits per 100g as per the tin.

Trying to avoid as its a slippery slope and i have no will power what so ever, it dose not take much to persuade me to go from 2 sweets to half a tin!

Also may save my points for a vodka and diet coke while watching a film tonight.

PS enjoy your meal out.

dinkystinky · 26/09/2010 20:48

Evening all - hope everyone is doing well and you've managed to avoid the sweets Mama. Why not point backwards so that you can work in a sweet with a hot drink at the end of the day if you're craving chocolate.

mamamiafigaro · 27/09/2010 07:35

Morning all, how is everyone doing? Dinky i survived the weekend with only a another handfull of sweets, not too bad in the grand scheme of things and i have also lost 1/2 a lb already and hope to get more by friday.

This weekend will prob be tricky tho as its my DP birthday on friday and my mum and her DP will arrive for the weekend, so will need to be carefull and not go over board.

encyclogirl · 27/09/2010 10:02

Morning all! I'm sending my zoney vibes across the ether to you all...

I was rigidly on plan all weekend. Never lost sight of it. Had a moment after lunch yesterday when I was casting around for something sweet...eventually had strawberries.

Practising yoga for an hour a day and it's definitely helping me find the balance I was lacking.

Off to have a Pu-erh tea now. I am DETERMINED to get under 10 stone by Friday.

BudaisintheZONE · 27/09/2010 10:10

Morning all.

Well weekend not as good as it should have been but not too bad I think.

Asked DH to buy milk on way back from football on Saturday and he arrived back with gorgeous fresh bread too! I had made veg and lentil soup so that that with 2 slices of bread for lunch.

Then we went out for a drink before dinner and he came back from bar with 2 packets of crisps! I had half a packet. Meal out was nice. I had parma ham to start with some bread, lamb and potatoes for main course and creme brulee for pudding. Too much wine and a limoncello to finish. Was starving when I got back (!!) and had a cuppa and some bread and honey.

Sunday I had toast and peanut butter for breakfast. Then DH did a fry-up for lunch/brunch. Not too bad - 1 sausage, 2 pieces bacon, spoonful of beans, a fried egg and 2 chips. Dinner was roast pork, roasties, cauliflower cheese, carrots and peas. Had a mini magnum for dessert.

Back at it today. Just took dog for 50 min walk with 2 big hills.

Buda, just spotted your question about running..

I've quit (for now), cos I hurt my knee. I am def getting back into though. I bloddy love it and it's the BEST 'head sorter outer' of all the exercises including yoga. I'll do couch to 5k with you, just say when :)

encyclogirl · 27/09/2010 16:33

Bloody even!

BudaisintheZONE · 27/09/2010 16:36

When will your knee be ok?

OP posts:
dinkystinky · 27/09/2010 16:40

Oh no encyclogirl - hop your knee gets better soon. cross trainer (dont use the arm bits and really targets your abs) is a good way to get back into running without the impact when its better. Buda - I'd say just give running a go though definitely follow couch to 5k and be disciplined about going out when you are meant to run and you'll probably end up loving it like encyclogirl.

Weighed self this morning - have put on 2lbs over the past few weeks of no exercise and comfort eating so back in the zone today with lots of water, green tea, skinny latte for breakfast (had to drop DS1 off at first day at school then run round lots in the morning for work stuff so was the only thing I could grab on the go), miso soup and edamame beans for lunch followed by berries and natural yoghurt and philadelphia splendips for afternoon snack. Will be doing a cauliflower and potato curry for dinner tonight i think. And managed some exercise today - body combat class - but had to take it easy on the punches with the shoulder as didnt want to knock it out again. But still so happy to be able to do some exercise again. Hurrah.

encyclogirl · 27/09/2010 20:31

Buda, it's been holding up really well through the yoga, so I'm thinking of taking it out for a week of brisk walks at lunchtime this week to see how it holds up. If that works out, I'll start Couch to 5k.

Running is amazing!

Dinky, you sound like you've found your way back to the zone again, here's to sticking to it!

Come girls! Let's make this week a really good one and everyone will have a great weigh in on Friday Smile

BudaisintheZONE · 28/09/2010 11:25

Hope it holds up ok encyclogirl. I may try Couch to 5K with you then. Eeek.

So far so good this week.

Yesterday's food:

Breakfast - porridge with blueberries
Lunch - healthy tortilla chips with hummus
Snack - slice rye bread with cheese
Dinner - bean and veggie quesidillas

Have period so feeling a bit bloated. Think last period was about 6 months ago!

Just walked dog - 55 mins.

It is now definitely autumn here. Which means winter could be next week! So am off to put away my summer stuff and hunt out autumn/winter stuff. Having a huge clear out while I am at it. I may end up with nothing left!

OP posts:
mamamiafigaro · 29/09/2010 07:04

I started couch to 5k months ago but only done 3 sessions as was out my self and felt like a wolly and couldt run and time myself.

I was thinking about doing it now but i just think by the time i get into the swing it will be too cold and icy to run soooooooooooooooooo may put it off till spring!

yesterdays food was

2 slices of toast

i yog

1/2 a sausage roll

and a WW chicken curry (from a jar) and was not that nice and DP wouldnt eat it either.

BudaisintheZONE · 30/09/2010 08:13
