Hi all. Haven't abandoned you for Twitter. Haven't been back on it in fact!

Food yesterday was ok except for some bread.

B'fast - muesli, dried cranberries, milk and some greek yoghurt.
Lunch - out for a friend's birthday. Did partake of the bread basket - bad. Had a starter or rocket, cherry tomato and steak salad as main. Lots of water and a coffee.
Snack - 3 oatcakes with low fat Philly
Dinner - home made turkey chilli
Snack - a nectarine.

Exercise - 25 mins dog walk.

Today - breakfast was porridge with fruit puree to sweeten, a dollop of greek yoghurt and some nuts.
Am about to walk dog.
Lunch will be carrot and lentil soup and some cottage cheese on rye bread.
Dinner will be cottage pie with mashed cauliflower instead of potato.

Need to drink more water and green tea.

Morning everyone!

Very windy here today so nearly got blown off the face of the earth on school run, but im thinkning of the calories burned walking uphill against the wind.

Just having an activia yog, and gonna do some housework, then for lunch i will haave some HM tabbouleh and gonna try and make some spicy baked tortilla wedge things to go with.

Will try and shred when ds is at playgroup and then its the ususal wed of school run, ballet etc.

Must remember to drink more water!

BudaisintheZONE · 15/09/2010 16:47

Hi all

Zoning like a proper zoner today. But didn't do any exercise! Blush

Lunch was a mug of carrot and lentil soup with a corn tortilla spread with salsa and cottage cheese.

Went into town to change some trousers for DS and was tempted by coffee at McDonalds but knew I would succumb to something I shouldn't so came home and had an oatcake with some peanut butter, a nectarine, an apple and a yoghurt.

DS had a packet of Doritos after school and left some in the packet!! I had ONE. ONE!

Have just had some sliced turkey. Am on my third cup of green tea of the day.

Well done on resisting Macdonalds!

I managed to Shred and finnish house work, then while dd was at ballet i nipped off for a cheeky sunbed and discovered they do the Power Plate (the thing that vibrates you all over and is a work out in an hour) any one used one? Gonna give it a try as every little helps, as they say.

Made the tortilla wedges and they were fab! so had that with tabbouleh for lunch then i had roast lamb mash and heaps of veg, finnished off with a WW strawberry cheese cake.

Not done much on the water intake front, must try to increase it tomorrow!

For those that shred what is the best weight to start using? as i have been using a 1.25kg and struggling (its the smallest i have) Dont no if i need to invest in some lady weights?

Guitargirl · 15/09/2010 20:24

Well done everyone on the zoning!

I am still hobbling about a bit but am stocked up on Ibuprofen so feeling a bit more comfortable.

Breakfast - nectarine, 5 cherry tomatoes, piece of brie
Mid morning - apple

Mid afternoon - apple, 4 clementines, blueberries
Dinner - burger, broccoli, carrots, salad.

Bit fed up to be honest. 1st day of AF today - maybe that's why...

dinkystinky · 15/09/2010 20:43

Well done Zoners and sorry your back is still bad Guitargirl.

Mamma - try 500ml water bottles to start with for your shred weight and when that feels easy progress up to the weights you have.

mamamiafigaro · 16/09/2010 18:56

Morning all. Weigh in day!!!

Well I have lost half a pound this week. not a great result. But am not exercising. Cannot seem to get myself motivated to do it.

Now weigh 15st 3. Which is the lightest I have been. But I have been it 3 times! On 16 July before we went to UK for 3 weeks. Then again on 13 August before I went off the rails. And now. So. Plan is to up the exercise. I hereby pledge to walk 5k or use my cross trainer every second day. As well as walking the dog. Am not drinking enough water either.

Hope everyone else gets a good result.

Normally on a friday i let myself have a wee treat since its the end of the week, but not this week.

Will up the exercise and drink more water and hope for the best.

I am now 14st 3lb and seem to bob between 14st 2lb and 14st 6lb, im im a diet rut!

Hope everyone else is more successful.

Guitargirl · 17/09/2010 08:08

Morning all! Poor you Dinky - flu is horrible Sad

Well done on the loss Buda. It's very frustrating when you reach the plateau stage isn't it? That's when I put all the weight back on last year.

Have lost 3 pounds so am ok with that. Now 12 stone exactly. Back is driving me mad though, couldn't even see the scales properly as can't even bend my head down! DD is starting nursery today and was planning on taking DS to soft play - will need to stock up on the Ibuprofen!

mamamiafigaro · 17/09/2010 15:37

Would just like to state i have survived a coffee at my mates and only had 1 piece of WW carrot cake! I was so proud of my resistance.

Had a yogurt and a strawberry and banana smoothie for breakfast.

some ritz crackers and tabbouleh for lunch

slice of carrot cake for snack

and will be having spag bol for dinner with eat smart garlic bread.

No exercise apart from walking up and down to school and the town all up and down steep hills (if it counts).

Guitargirl · 17/09/2010 19:51

Big sigh

Haven't done brilliantly today...

Breakfast - branflakes
Mid morning - diet coke
Lunch - took the DCs for lunch, I had falafel salad with hummus (didn't eat the pitta bread it was served with) - it was gorgeous...
Mid afternoon - diet coke (again)
Dinner - 2 oat crackers with egg mayo, 2 slices of garlic sausage, piece of cheese

Evening - just had 2 oreos and 2 oat crackers with butter. Cross!

Guitargirl · 17/09/2010 20:58

Oh God. Disaster. Have not stopped eating this evening. Toast. More oreos. Crisps. Sweets. Chocolate. Bugger to it. Ok, am going to write today off and start afresh tomorrow.

I figure have been doing this for a month now and this is my first big blow out. So, if I can restrict this kind of eating to once a month at least it will give me something to look forward to ...

BudaisintheZONE · 18/09/2010 09:05

Bad day yesterday for me too Guitargirl. Was going out last night for dinner so decided to let yesterday be my day off. Had 2 bread rolls with cheese and chutney for lunch. Then had some digestive biscuits with Nutella. Then some tortilla chips. And not my healthy ones. Then out last night and had pasta and bread and lots and lots of wine. Today my head hurts!

And then at 6pm DH phoned to ask if ok to invite some colleagues over for dinner tonight. So tonight will be a write off too. Sigh.

But I will get back to it tomorrow.

OP posts:
mamamiafigaro · 18/09/2010 09:31

Oh dear buda and guitar! You should not be biffing (gutiar i will let you off as you have have first slip up in a long time) Buda, you should use this opertiunity to plan in advance for a healthy option for tonight as this time you will be like me yest and be gaining lbs no loosing them! I can see today snowballing to tomorrow and before you know it you only have 4 days to redeem yourself. (i know as its ususally me)

I was also vvvv good again last night (im turning saintly) and had 2 glasses of water and a couple of oat cakes.

This morning i have had a fa free yog and 2 slices of whole meal toast (small loaf slices).

Need some inspiration for dinner tonight.

BudaisintheZONE · 18/09/2010 09:46

I am SO hungover.

OP posts:
BudaisintheZONE · 18/09/2010 12:52

Feeling much better now! Went back to bed for an hour and then DH got me up to plan menu for tonight and I had toast and peanut butter and a cuppa and feel MUCH better!

DH has now gone shopping and then will cook. I am tidying house.

Food tonight not in zone. DH picked. And as he is doing it all I just agree. He is doing various Thai dishes. Dessert will be baked peaches sprinkled with blackberries and blueberries and some nice vanilla ice cream.

Am not drinking too much!

And then tomorrow will start again. Planning on taking dogs for a long walk in the woods too.

mamamiafigaro - I know exactly what you mean. Wish we weren't having people over tonight but will def get back to it tomorrow. If too wet to walk will use cross trainer.

OP posts:
Guitargirl · 18/09/2010 19:59

Ok, have done better today - hopefully back on track...

Breakfast - nothing as I was still stuffed from last night!
Mid morning - nectarine
Lunch - fruit salad
Mid afternoon - grapes
Dinner - 2 oatcakes, egg mayo, cheese, 2 slices of garlic sausage

mamamiafigaro · 19/09/2010 06:05

Guitar you have been positivley angelic!

I had some Pizza and chips with dp has cupboards bare (shopping day today) no excuse apart from that.

Then 1/2 a bottle of rose and a hot dog (was a helper at my mates teenage dd party).

Repenting today tho, having a coffee with skimmmed milk and 2 slices of wholemeal toast then off to work, and who knows what else till i get home (prob cereal and maybe soup at lunch).

cant be arsed going to work.

Guitargirl · 19/09/2010 20:37

Mama - mmm, hotdog, that would hit the spot right now...did you have onions? And mustard?

Have been ok today:

Breakfast - branflakes
Lunch - had lunch out: carrot and coriander soup with side salad
Dinner - 2 oatcakes with egg mayo, cheese, 4 cherry tomatoes and 2 slices of garlic sausage.

Hungry now though, going to bed soon to avoid the kitchen!

mamamiafigaro · 20/09/2010 09:46

Guitar - hot dog was fab! could have ate 5!

Yesterday for lunch i had some soup which was hideous so went in the bin and had a chicken bake instead (felt bad but it was sooooooooooo good!)

Then i had a roast chicken dinner and a few segments of terrys chocolate orange (ggod job its so sweet and sickly a i woul have polished it off other wise).

Today onwards im going to be uber good as only 4 days to work off the weekends indiscretions.

2 coffee and skimmed milk
1 yorgurt for breakfast and prob 4 oat cakes with cottage cheese.

Lunch - soup?

Dinner - who no's as at work (will not be a pasty).
