Hello all - well done on losses.

The 3lbs put on courtesy of du fromage en France have gone, as, mysteriously, has a further 0.8 of a lb. Meaning I'm now 13 stone 0.8lbs (from 13 stone 1.6 lbs before the holiday). Not quite sure how that's happened, as I've hardly been reining myself in to the same extent as I was a month or so ago. I even had TWO BISCUITS on Tuesday.

I promise I'll come back to the thread soon properly and zone properly and start exercising* properly. Just need to get this weekend out of the way when I am being invated by hordes of old school friends for a boozy weekend.

*Exercise regime has been compromised by slipping on a train and landing heavily on my shin on the metal sill of the carriage. This happened nearly three weeks ago and it still hurts on foot impact with the ground. Running = scuppered. Not much better on x-trainer. Sad

BudaisintheZONE · 10/09/2010 15:35

Ouch Undertone. That made me wince in sympathy! Well done on the loss though. Almost under 13!!!!!

Hi LG&T - period sounds yuck. Cup of mint tea and book in bed sounds heavenly though!

Hi Dinky! Maybe you need to shake things up a bit?

OP posts:
mamamiafigaro · 10/09/2010 16:19

Ok having a bit of a day off diet

breakfast jam and toast
lunch 2 snack sausage rolls and 2 choc chunk cookies
dinner will be pizza chips and choc cake!

and possibly a couple of vodkas this evening!

Promise to be back on track tomorrow.

Guitargirl · 10/09/2010 19:40

Undertone - I saw the same thing happen to someone on a train a few years ago. His leg was so bad he was dripping blood all along the carriage, he got off at the same stop as me and I waited with him whilst an ambulance was called. Hope yours gets better!

Anyway, today's intake:

Breakfast - branflakes
Lunch - 2 slices of toast - rye bread - with cheese, tomatoes, cucumber and grapes
Mid afternoon - apple
Dinner - trout fillet with green beans and carrots

Now fighting the urge for more toast...

largeginandtonic · 10/09/2010 20:18

Well i want a chinese. This is not going well.

I am bleeding to death though. I deserve it surely.

dinkystinky · 10/09/2010 20:28

LG&T - have your chinese. Avoid the egg fried rice and go for a nice stirfry type thing and enjoy it. You have your period - drink lots of water/other fluids (will help with period related water retention).

Undertone - well done. Youch on the train incident though - take it easy. If you cant run, try weights based stuff instead - still raises your metabolism brilliantly.

Yes Buda - do need to shake it up and up the exercise I think. Will be right on that on Monday. Had day off diet today so had small portion baked beans and scrambled egg for breakfast after boxing, some ryvita thins, half baguette with ham and gruyere cheese for lunch, chocolate and now on red wine and soup for dinner. Back in the zone tomorrow.

largeginandtonic · 10/09/2010 20:56

I LOVE you Dinky.

dinkystinky · 10/09/2010 21:03

Always nice to be appreciated Grin

Seriously, a diet where you dont have occasional treats is not maintainable - am all for the occasional treat in moderation and enjoying it (so you dont feel like you're cheating and binge out and totally go off track).

mamamiafigaro · 11/09/2010 06:50

Undertone that leg sounds painfull!

Hope you enjoyed your chinese LGAT, not had one for ages Mmmmm.

Well after my day off binge i felt sluggish and disgusting! Most def back on track today, will start with a walk to argos with the rat bags to burn off some of yesterdays damage.

Off to have some porridge now.

Guitargirl · 11/09/2010 07:43

Well - I succumbed to the extra toast. And an almond Magnum. Blush

Right - back on track today!

BudaisintheZONE · 11/09/2010 08:56

Wow Dolly!!! 6lbs. Well done you.

Nice to see you back. Are you going to hang around? Tis gone v quiet here. I can't do twitter.

Well was good all day until last night which I knew would happen as was out. Had some curry before we went as it was just a drinks thing with nibbles. Am always to busy gassing and drinking to eat so decided to be sensible and eat first. Was glad as we got there late and savory stuff was finished and there were trays of tiny bits of carrot cake doing the rounds. I LOVE carrot cake normally but it doesn't go with wine so didnt bother. Did my usual raid the fridge when I got home. 2 slices of cold pizza. And have just had toast and peanut butter. But back on track from now. Will make carrot and lentil soup for lunch.

Not sure about dinner yet. DS was supposed to be going for a sleepover but having had a friend here for a sleepover last night had decided he is too tired! There goes our child free night!!

dinkystinky · 12/09/2010 17:36

Hiya DollyMG - lovely to see you back. Well done on the amazing loss in first week - keep up the fab work! Try not to hit the cold pizza when you get in ....

Buda - come on, back in the zone with you.

Guitargirl · 13/09/2010 07:46

Morning everyone,

Hope you all had a good weekend, haven't done too badly Sat/Sun after Friday's bread extravaganza...
Sat
Breakfast - branflakes
Mid morning - mint tea
Lunch - pea and spinach soup with 2 ryvitas and cheese
Dinner - trout, broccoli, carrots, green beans, glass of wine

Sun
Breakfast - branflakes
Mid morning - 2 apples, blueberries
Lunch - packet of sliced roast beef, piece of cheese
Dinner - 3 chipolata sausages, 2 ryvitas.

Had dinner very late as went to Legoland yesterday and didn't get home till 9pm. Was quite impressed with myself as managed to avoid the doughnuts/popcorn/ice-cream/Legoland sugar-fest. Bought some doughnuts for DD, came in a box of 15, she ate 2 and then brought the other 13 home for DP - think he was more surprised than I was!

BudaisintheZONE · 13/09/2010 08:24

Morning all.

Well weekend was bad. Bread. Ice cream. Crisps. More bread. Potatoes. Pasta.

I am however back in zone now. Have just had a big bowl of granola with milk and a dollop of greek yoghurt. Planning on making the soup i was supposed to make on Saturday! I think dinner will be a stirfry. Lots of fruit as snacks. And lots of water and green tea. And I am about to walk the dog as it is actually not raining. Thought we were going to drown on Saturday!

Here's to a good week for us all.

I would like to get under that 15 stone mark. So that is my aim.

OP posts:
mamamiafigaro · 13/09/2010 09:16

Morning all!

Been a bit naugty with a slab of choc cake but other than that not bad.

Just had an Activia snack pot and was yummy (3 for £1 in morrisions) and they are fat free.

Going to make some homemade Salmon fish cakes, sausage rolls (for dd packed lunch) and Tabbouleh today and possibly some soup as im off work as dp is at a course today so it feels weird not going to work on a Monday!

Budda im trying to get under 14st as its my nemisis, only 2 lb and i will e 14st so not far off, just need to be really good all week!

Guitargirl · 13/09/2010 19:50

Ok, today have eaten:

Breakfast - nectarine and piece of brie
Mid morning - apple
Lunch - can of sardines, two ryvitas, laughing cow
Dinner - bolognese sauce

Now am having a glass of wine. Have had to buy small bottles as don't trust myself with a proper-sized bottle...of course that doesn't stop me from opening another small one!

largeginandtonic · 13/09/2010 22:33

Dolly well done you Smile

TUT to all those naughty at the weekend. I mean as if i ever would!

I have eaten a Costa breakfast roll, small cappucino.
Half of an apple (dd2 nicked the rest)
small bowl of pasta pesto.
2 glasses of wine.

I am SO motivated as i walked in to Topshop today.

Honestly do it. It is so bloody depressing.

Am now watching jamie in America. Also mind bogglingly eye popping.

BudaisintheZONE · 14/09/2010 08:34

Morning all!

Was good yesterday until last night. We had had roast lamb on Sunday and there were leftovers. So wanted to do a lamb and chickpea curry type thing. Then i got the lamb out of the fridge. A lot less leftover than I thought. And then I discovered I didn't have any chickpeas OR lentils. So I did a risotto instead. And found myself mindlessly picking at some crisps that DH opened.

Grrr!

Have just had muesli for breakfast. Am about to walk the dog. And then i am out for lunch for a friend's birthday. Need to go buy a present first.

And I have given in and joined the Twitter lot. Not sure I get it yet but thought I would give it a go. Have just joined under this name.

LG&T - Topshop - brave lady!

Have lost the zone for past few days and my trousers are telling me that it hasnt gone unnoticed - now back in it with circuits this morning, skinny latte and yoghurt for breakfast and pilates at lunchtime followed by soup and fruit salad. And copious amounts of water.

Enjoy tweeting Buda. Make sure you dont abandon us though...

DollyMG · 14/09/2010 10:35

hehe we've lured you in buda Grin

Sat night was, err, messy. no food apart from some white bread (dry!) that I drunkenly squished into a ball to avoid crumbs in bed

it didnt work

sadly all antics were recorded on twitter, badly Grin it's addictive I tell you!

got on scales this morning and was v pleased. lost again so hoping to keep being good! Had a plain bagel with a bit of low fat philly for b'fst. I can't do "no" carb but i ahve cut back loads.

Guitargirl · 14/09/2010 21:09

Have done ok today except am hobbling about a bit with a bad back.

Breakfast - nectarine and some brie
Mid morning - apple
Lunch - summer veg soup, 2 ryvitas, laughing cow
Mid afternoon - apple, handful of blueberries, 4 clementines
Dinner - 2 oat crackers with egg mayo, sliced turkey, green beans.

Am bloody hungry now though so am going to bed to avoid making 6 rounds of toast!

dinkystinky · 15/09/2010 08:45

Oh no guitargirl, hope your back is ok. Back in the zone today - skinny latte and porridge and yoghurt for breakfast, body pump hopefully at lunchtime (work permitting) and fuller for longer chicken flatbread thing and babybel light for lunch time and snack this afternoon. And a truck load of water....
