Hi Girls
Sorry for the hijack...

Ilythia - I just wanted to let you know that I'll be thinking of you all tomorrow and sending you all lots of love & hugs x

BudaisintheZONE · 06/09/2010 08:35

Morning all.

Ilythia - I take it from ChippingIn's post that the funeral is today. Hope all goes as well as it can. Will be thinking of you.

Well weekend was bad. Moving on swiftly....

Start of another week and brain is in gear! Have just had breakfast of muesli, granola and blueberries. Am about to take dog for long walk.

Contemplating a trip to Ikea after.

Want to sit and menu plan for the week also so that I stay on plan. Need to take some time to reread my posts from when I was doing ok. Need to get back into that mindset.

Ilythia - Thinking of you today, hope all goes well.

Still in the zone, altho no shredding today as i have aquired a pain in my shin bone and im hobbling on and off as pain comes and goes.

Have had porridge and banana for breakie then walked to morrisons with kids.

Looking after my 3 nieces today then off to work.

Budda - i find if i meal plan then i dont stray to far off the track. Like today and tomorrow im at work so i will make a salad and bring snacks as other wise i will get chips or something equaly fatty and horrible.

On the Food Focus thing you get a date aim for so i will be 12st on the 29th December! Lets hope i stay focused and stick to it.

< wanders off daydreaming of new wardrobe in the jan sales>

dinkystinky · 06/09/2010 13:45

Ilythia - thinking of you and your family and hope today goes smoothly.

Buda - come on Missus. Big picture - you're back in the UK next month and you want to be a size or 2 smaller. Keep that at the forefront of your brain. Occasional biffing isnt too bad but you need to look at why it happened and try and work off the excess calories you've consumed to stop the scales going in the wrong direction. Mama's suggestion of meal planning is a good one.

BudaisintheZONE · 06/09/2010 16:06

Well considering I ended up at Ikea starving hungry today and then came back starving and as we walked in DS let pup out of her crate and she weed EVERYWHERE and I then broke a glass bowl in the pantry and had to clean all the mess up and I was v angry, I have done OK!!!

Walked the dog for 45 mins and then had a snack of a natural yoghurt and a banana when I got back. As I said I was hungry at Ikea so had lunch. Smoked salmon and salad. No bread. No dressing. Just lemon juice. And a tea.

Picked DS up from school and came home. Cleaner had been here and I had asked her to put pup in crate as she left. She finishes at 4. We got back at 4.05. Pup must have been in crate for ages as she weeed like I have never see a pup wee before!!! Got shouted at. Other dog got shouted at for walking in it. DS got shouted at for shouting at me. And then I broke a bowl. When I finally got it all sorted I was STARVING. So I have just had some healthy vegetable tortilla type things with some hummus. Not bad considering the red mist!

Didn't manage to get to supermarket so just bought a rotisserie chicken for dinner. I will do it will roast potatoes and veg for DS and DH and I will just have the chicken and veg and some lentils.

Guitargirl · 06/09/2010 20:50

Hi everyone, here I am again with today's food:

Breakfast - bran flakes with skimmed milk
Mid morning - was up at the crack of dawn with the DCs so was starving by 10am. 4 slices of watermelon and a triangle of laughing cow light
Lunch - 2 ryvitas, 2 slices of ham, 4 cherry tomatoes, 1 small pot of reduced fat hummus
Mid afternoon - apple and punnet of blackberries
Dinner - 2 sausages, broccoli, carrots.

On my way into M&S food on the way to work to get me blackberries, very slim woman going in in front of me. Stalked her through the store to see what a slim person eats for lunch: cous cous and a banana if anyone's interested!

Have also changed my route to work to incorporate more walking so now the journey is about 2 miles quite brisk walk one way. Can't do any harm I guess on the days am in the office (not every day).

dinkystinky · 07/09/2010 08:59

Buda - that sounds like quite a stressful day/evening. Bet all that shouting and cleaning burned some calories though...

Every bit helps Guitargirl - and its a good idea to up the walking where you can. Had to walk half way to work today anyway as there's a tube strike on - and will be walking back home this evening too.

BudaisintheZONE · 07/09/2010 09:54

I am BACK in the zone! Totally focused again. Yay! Feeling good and positive. Dinky - can I just say a big thank you to you for your little pep talks. They are really helping.

Dinner last night was chicken, peas, carrots, sweetcorn and one small roast potato. Couldn't have lentils as didn't have any!

Am avoiding dairy today as I have a bit of a snotty cold. So breakfast was a slice of rye bread toasted with peanut butter. Lunch will be left over chicken and salad. Snacks will be fruit and healthy tortilla thingies with salsa. Lots of water and green tea planned. And I have walked the dog. Which doesn't sound much but it 45 mins up and down hills.

OP posts:
Guitargirl · 07/09/2010 18:29

Right, today:

Breakfast - bran flakes with skimmed milk
Mid-morning - half an apple (DS ate the other half)
Lunch - 2 ryvitas, 2 slices of ham, 1 laughing cow light, 5 cherry tomatoes, 1 small pot of hummus
Mid afternoon - apple
Dinner - homemade burger, salad (spinach, rocket, watercress, tomatoes, onions, cucumber, feta).

Bored now.

Could do with a bottle of shiraz and several family-sized packets of Minstrels...[sigh]

dinkystinky · 07/09/2010 20:34

How about you paint your nails instead guitargirl to avoid temptation? Or surf the net to find lovely clothes you'll treat yourself to when you reach your target?

Bifftastic day today - stress of work and tube strike and moving crap all finally made me topple out the zone. Still have exercised hard to do penance and will be right back in the zone from now....

mamamiafigaro · 08/09/2010 07:28

Still in the zone, and actually went to bed at 9pm last night to avoid bordom biffage as dp was watching shite cricket and football and i was ready to slit my wrists.

Feeling positive this week, also resisted gregs at lunch time yesterday! Woo hoo i still have will power left.

Guitargirl · 08/09/2010 21:08

I managed to stay off the booze last night but today hasn't been so great:
Breakfast - branflakes
Mid morning - apple
Lunch - 2 ryvitas, laughing cow, hummus, tomatoes
Mid afternoon - apple
Dinner - had a meeting after work so a bit on the run - chicken noodle soup thingie from EAT
Got home from meeting starving so just had 2 slices of toast (rye bread) with butter and brie. Yum.

BudaisintheZONE · 09/09/2010 06:24

This thread has gone a bit quiet!

Am still here. Still doing ok. Sneaky weigh in yesterday which wasn't good. Oh well.

Was good all day yesterday until DS reminded me I had promised him pasta carbonara for dinner. DH was away. Couldn't face cooking one meal for him and one for me so I had pasta carbonara too. Not good! Will be supergood today to make up for it.

Weather here is yucky. September is normally really lovely. Real Indian summer weather. Rain and fog forecast for next 4 days then one day where it isn't raining and then more rain and fog! It's gonna be a LONG winter.

On the bright side it will be our last winter in Budapest!!! Yay! We leave next summer to move back to the UK after 15 years abroad. Yay!! Yesterday I booked 3 weeks in Florida flying from Heathrow on 5 July. So we will pack up the house on 2nd/3rd, clean house and hand over to landlord on 4th, and then leave on 5th!!!! Another incentive on the weight loss. Last time we were in US I could only shop in the fat cow sections. Next time I will be in normal sizes. Yay!

OP posts:
mamamiafigaro · 09/09/2010 07:37

budda - be you cant wait for florida! I would love to go, also its a very good motivator.

Been doing well, had an inpromtu lunch invite yest and had a prawn salad (something tells me it was not low cal mayo in the sauce) and a small cheese and biscs and a small rose.

Need to get back into the shredding mode as not done it since sunday as i hurt my leg (it was better on tue).

May also go back to Zumba next week as not been since the summer hols.

pre weigh in looking good. Hope every one else is doing well.

dinkystinky · 09/09/2010 08:52

Morning all. Buda - wow 15 years abroad! That trip to Florida sounds fabulous. Definitely something to focus on for weight loss goals too!

Was my 10 year anniversary with DH yesterday so went out for dinner - was very good as had 2 champagne cocktails and 2 glasses of wine, oysters and some cod - but the veg that came with the cod were all cooked in butter and way too rich which made me feel sick as a dog. Does anyone else get that with buttery food? Was up half the night feeling really rough.

Mama - never been to Zumba. Is it fun? Doing well guitargirl.

Bet all the non-posters are on twitter following the fishie one. They'll be back..

BudaisintheZONE · 09/09/2010 09:46

Happy anniversary dinky!

Guitargirl · 09/09/2010 20:08

Happy anniversary dinky!

It is pretty quiet on here...I can't be doing with Twitter...

Plodding on...today have eaten:

Breakfast - branflakes
Lunch - had work lunch out at the dreaded Nando's. Had chicken salad but it was swimming in dressing
Mid afternoon - apple and blackberries
Dinner - beans with green peppers, garlic and chorizo.

BudaisintheZONE · 09/09/2010 20:17

It is VERY quiet Guitargirl. I can see cobwebs and the place is getting very dusty!

I have been good today.

Breakfast - porridge with a spoonful of honey and some blueberries
Snack - a slice of rye bread with some peanut butter
Lunch - a slice of rye bread with some smoked peppered mackerel, some veggie tortillas and hummus and a nectarine
Dinner - chili con carne with some natural yoghurt
Snack - half a digestive biscuit (!) and a nectarine
Have not drunk enough water but had 2 cups of green tea and a mint tea. NO wine!!!

Off to bed in 10 mins to avoid picking time!

Morning! Weigh in Friday!!! Wakey Wakey!

Well I have lost the sum total of half a pound this week. Better than nothing but I could do better (memories of my school reports!).

Current weight 15 st 3.5. Started at 16st 10.

OP posts:
mamamiafigaro · 10/09/2010 07:00

Morning all!

Been weighed this morning and 2lb down im very pleased as not banked on any.

Start weight= 14st 5lb current = 14st 2lb

goal next week 2lb (last weeks 4lb goal seemed a bit unachievable).

Must also up the exercise and water malarky.

Dinky Zumba is fab, like a cross between exercise and dance and i love it! gonna try to start back next week.

Also later this morning im going to shred after the house work is done.

Im also going to buy some autumn clothes as i have nothing to wear. thinking legging/tunic combos? and some pumps.

Guitargirl · 10/09/2010 07:41

Morning! Have weighed in - 2.5lb down.

Well done to both the losers - Mama and Buda!

Am now 12st 3lb. I was 12st 12 when I joined this thread but was lurking for a few weeks before so was actually 13st 3 when I started. Anyway, plodding on...

BudaisintheZONE · 10/09/2010 08:59

Well done Mama and Guitargirl! Proper losses! My half pound might have been that I was leaning over a bit!

Have done school run and a quick nip to Aldi. Wasn't overly impressed with the one here. Still need to go to Tesco I think. Anyway. Am eating breakfast of Greek yoghurt, blueberries, some granola and flaked almonds. And I stole a bit of DS's toast earlier. With Nutella. Blush

Am out tonight. A drinks thing but there will be food. Will eat something sensible before I go so that I don't pig out.

OP posts:
dinkystinky · 10/09/2010 09:52

Morning all - well done on the losses everyone. Am still 10, 4 so plateauing nicely Hmm

largeginandtonic · 10/09/2010 13:29

Twitter makes my head hurt. I am not there.

I refuse to weigh in. My period started today, first in 10 bloody weeks. I feel dreadful and know i must be carrying a stone in water retention... well a pound at least.

Dinky Happy Anniversary! Shame you felt rough afterwards. An overload of dairy always makes me feel bleurgh.

Well done on all the weight losses Smile

largeginandtonic · 10/09/2010 13:31

Oh and i keep going to bed with a cup of mint tea and my book. I feel about 178 years old.
