Well done!! That's such an amazing thing to do! Plateau points are a bastard and beating them feels soooo good Smile.

I'm in the UK now with loads of meals out planned so we'll have to see how good I manage to be when there are chips on all the menus. I did bring Davina with me though so all is not lost.....

gilbonzothesecretpsychoduck · 09/03/2011 10:41

Well.....a week in the UK hasn't done me any favours - McDonalds is evil (but oh so yummy!)

MrsHerculePoirot · 09/03/2011 19:56

Haha! A week hasn't done me any favours either... according to scales I had put back on to my plateau and more on Monday morning. However I had a cheeky weigh this morning and was back under so am hoping for good things this week. I have just ordered a take away tonight, but have ordered an italian seafood linguine in a tomato based sauce so am thinking not too bad...

Who else is still out there and how are you doing? Basically I've been more or less the same for 6 weeks now...

silver28 · 09/03/2011 21:00

I'm still here! Been lurking not posting as am being a greedy cos at the moment. I stayed the same for about 2 weeks so used that as an excuse to eat even mire and gave put around 4 lbs on. Nit been too bad today do hopefully back on track.

silver28 · 09/03/2011 21:00

Greedy cow, not cos!

MrsHerculePoirot · 09/03/2011 22:52

thought you might be lurking silver...!

silver28 · 10/03/2011 09:12

Grin I'm ALWAYS lurking! But I only post when I'm doing ok myself or when I need I motivation boost very selfish really Smile

gilbonzothesecretpsychoduck · 10/03/2011 12:40

I just bought a pair of jeans from Sainsbury's - size 14!!!!!! And a top that is a 16 which is a minor miracle as I have the world's biggest norks!

aristocat · 10/03/2011 14:22

i am here too - thread had disappeared for me

however ...... i am a comfy size 14 too gibbon and also had new jeans this week Smile i have lost 4lb recently and weight has started to decrease again! YAY!

hope everyone is OK

MrsHerculePoirot · 11/03/2011 13:57

Well done on the size 14 and 16, I still have a long way to go I think... I have had a rubbish week. For no reason yesterday I popped into M&S to get an onion, some cream cheese and some basil for our dinner. Forgot the cream cheese, bought a small pack of chocolate eggs, a packet of crisps, a packet of golden cream biscuits and a pot of chocolate crispie things. I didn't eat all of it, but enough of it to feel a bit sick and then was really annoyed with myself - I am planning all my meals this week, going shopping tomorrow and then working 4 out of 5 days next week so hopefully little chance to be 'naughty'. DH is also away now until next saturday so there is no chance of one of us popping out for a sweet treat after dinner either which will help - lots of early nights for me I think!

gilbonzothesecretpsychoduck · 11/03/2011 16:16

Hurray for the jeans aristo!

Poirot, I got back to France from the UK today and was so depressed to be back that I've managed to eat a pain au chocolat, a packet of crisps, 2 mini mars bars and some popcorn. All without realising what I was doing - how's that possible??? It's like my body takes over my mind and goes on a hoover mission around the kitchen. Won't be in those jeans for long if I carry on like that!

gilbonzothesecretpsychoduck · 11/03/2011 16:19

Oh, and MIL didn't even comment on the 2 stone that I've lost since I last saw her. Although, on the plus side she didn't say, "I saw a girl who reminded me of you the other day - very pretty but a big girl like you" which she's managed to drop in every time I've seen her in the 8 years I've been with dh so I guess thats progress.

MrsHerculePoirot · 12/03/2011 20:04

That is massive progress gilbon, practically a compliment Wink

And in other good news this week I stayed 2lbs below that plateau point, so the lowest I have been so for over two years o that is quite exciting for me...

gilbonzothesecretpsychoduck · 14/03/2011 19:34

WOOHOOOO! That's fantastic - well done!

aristocat · 14/03/2011 20:56

well done Herc .......things can only get better (as i am told Grin) it is much easier to eat less and be more active if the sun is shining

i am 11-6 ATM so going down slowly .....

MrsHerculePoirot · 14/03/2011 22:47

11-6 Wow!!! That's great!

MrsHerculePoirot · 17/03/2011 11:28

I'm down to 15-6 now - woohoo! At the end of August I was 17-4. Slow progress, but still not tracking so hoping this time it is for life if that makese sense!

aristocat · 17/03/2011 13:39

well done Herc hope you have treated yourself to something nice Smile

weighheyhey · 17/03/2011 20:04

Please may I join you? I have 11st to lose.

I joined SW last night see my other thread here: tonight I confronted my demon

gilbonzothesecretpsychoduck · 17/03/2011 20:13

Hi weigh, welcome!

So impressed by the losses Poirot and aristo Smile. I'm just correcting what I screwed up while I was in the uk at the moment. I haven't weighed myself yet (too scared!!) but I can tell by my face that it's starting to come off again.

I agree with the slow weight loss. Any time I've lost weight quickly it's all gone back on so I'm hoping that my 2 stone in 6 months is more maintainable.

aristocat · 17/03/2011 20:14

welcome weighheyhey i think you have done the most important thing and decided to take action!

i am not with SW or WW (but others on here are) but we all help motivate each other Smile personally i have found going tee-total good for me, those calories could be food instead of alcohol

heres to happy healthy eating

MrsHerculePoirot · 17/03/2011 21:11

HI Weigh, of course you can join us - the more the merrier!

I agree with the taking the time thing - this time, similar to gilbon, I have lost almost 2 stone in just under 7 months. I have just had almost 2 months of plateau and have just broken through and am on my way down again. I still have about 4.5 stone to lose.

Sometimes on our thread we go a bit quiet, but we are always here so post anyway and you'll probably help us keep talking too! I tend not to post when I'm burying my head in the same about not losing anything so its good when others post as then I reply and remember what I'm trying to do!
