Hello everyone, finally caught up. It's been a while 😊
Queen of the plateaus me. I think I am the slowest on this thread (been here from the start), but I am, at last, just 7 pounds away from my target - I have chosen the healthy end of BMI, as, aged 55, I am really not sure I can realistically be any slimmer than 10 stone 11.
SW (Sept 24): 18 stone 11 (263 pounds)
CW: 11 stone 4: (158 pounds)
GW: 10 stone 11 (151 pounds)
Never had suppression. Been on 15mg for a while now. No side effects. Luckily I have never experienced food noise.
I haven't been in the pool since my Mum died in November - I was swimming 3 times a week, so really must get back in the zone, but do move a lot more and finally doing a (very simple) arm routine, thanks to @MooBaggage speaking about weights, I finally got on board but only 2kg dumbells, but huge difference, so definitely working!
My eufy scales are saying unbelievable things (only this week) and I am aghast that I am normal in so many categories and I realise my body composition has changed so much. It is mind blowing. I have gained muscle and all sorts. I will gratefully take it. Never thought I'd see the day!
I still do strict keto - I think it is what got me to where I am - fill up on healthy fats and protein which seems to tick the box of fulness/suppression. On the odd occasion I eat carbs (refined carbs) it is like crack to me and I want to hoover up more. I have learned that if I want to keep slim, I will have to eat this way for life. Suits me fine. I think there are a lot more choices of stuff than there used to be - even a year ago. Now even food on the go is a lot easier - cooked chicken; prawns; boiled eggs in the supermarkets instead of the dreaded sandwich meal deals.
Maintenance wise I plan to get to target, then titrate down, but not there yet and likely will take a few months as weight loss slow these days - maybe about 3/4 pounds a month, if that.
Going to keep up now. This is the best thread ever and has got me through some tough times, so thank you lovely losers.
