Thread 13 and we're still going strong! Everyone welcome 😊

We have kiwis, yoga, smart scales and hammocks and there is always room for new advice, top tips and whatever's on our minds!

Welcome home @MooBaggage . Sounds like you had a fab holiday and 4lbs is nothing. Similarly to @Onegramatatime over the last few days I seem to have added almost 3lbs in heat weight and drinking too much fizz when it's been too hot to go to bed.

But I'm fine because thanks to MJ I trust that either it'll fuck off by itself as things cool down or I'll go back to being sensible, and it'll all be right within a week or so.

Hi everyone. Its been a really long time since I have posted - so many new names, and so many familiar ones too!

I’m at 22 months on MJ, and I have been not doing it properly for about 9 months. Life has been challenging and its really not been a priority.

In Feb, I briefly got down to my low weight of 12st 6lbs, but I am proof you can gain on MJ - I’ve been hovering around 13st or a little under for months now.

My head just hasn’t been in it at all - but I have diligently taken my jab every week and I think that’s kept me mostly stable at my current weight. I benefit from the suppression, but I think I am not getting the lack of food noise that I used to - probably cos I am eating like crap, just in smaller volume.

But, today, I started back calorie counting. Forgot to blimming weigh this morning, so will do that tomorrow, but I am ready to be back at it.

hoping to keep posting here to keep me accountable.

hope you are all doing well!

I am down 19lbs in 4 weeks 🥳 chuffed to bits and had my first NSV today! We are at Legoland and went on fire & ice drop tower, and the restraint just closed! Normally have to manoeuvre to get the correct position to get there. Flipping long way to go but a massive boost not least because with so much to go it’s not actually visible yet.
@Onegramatatime its the same as Windmill towers at Paulton’s Park to give you an idea

Hello @Darlinghag ! Nice to see you and I feel your pain... I'm at the 18 month point and although I swore I'd get completely back on track today, I've been at friends tonight - didn't drink, but did munch a whole load of popcorn and minstrels, for no reason other than they were in bowls in front of me 🙄 6 months ago I would have resisted...

Somehow we have to find a long, long term approach to this - let me know if you find it!

For me - it's start again tomorrow, acknowledge that I did at least drink 3 x litres of water, had no alcohol, a small breakfast and small dinner portion - so did really well until this evening. Just need to not snack, even if it's staring at me...!

We are long term losers and we can do this thing! 💪💪💪💪

Also, yoga tomorrow! 🧘‍♀️😁

@LetitGoDLP Yay for the NSV!! It's like when I didn't need a seatbelt extender for the first time on a flight last year - the relief and joy were crazy! Life just gets easier and easier to manage in so many ways - congratulations!! 💪🥰🥰🥰

@LetitGoDLP , that's a brilliant NSV !!🎉
Congratulations.

The fire and ice drop towers was my first theme park ride as a Mum! Hadn't done it before. I was petrified before, during and after.😂 And i still did the Windmill towers at Paulton park and then cried afterwards.

But honestly, big congratulations on your NSV. This whole weight loss thing is tough..even with Mj (or Wegovy) being such a great support.

LetitGoDLP · Today 07:27

@MooBaggage Thank you, definitely a great feeling.
@Onegramatatime Peer pressure from the little folk is real!

"Life just gets easier and easier to manage in so many ways"

So true.
What strikes me most that i appreciate daily is how much less painful my knees are, how much easier I find stairs, how much healthier I can actually feel my body is and for the vanity side - being able to look at clothes and not think twice about wearing them. I hated how everyday picking what to wear was akin to working out the country's budget for the next financial year.

MoneyJo · Today 09:47

I do seem to have stalled. Mind you, it's not helped by the fact that we have had so many social events on involving food in the last couple of weeks. I've eaten far less at those than I used to so at least I haven't gained.

I can't do anything about my dose for the next two jabs but then I'll go up to 6.25. or maybe I should go straight to 7.5.

Darlinghag · Today 09:47

Thanks @MooBaggage! Its so hard isnt it!! I really wish I knew how to maintain my progress or even maintain a maintain! I have long accepted I will be on a WL medication for a long long time, or even forever, funds allowing, but it is hard knowing it will always be hard!

I have found that the only way I stay on track effectively is to keep busy. Sometimes it even errs on the side of too busy and forgetting to eat. But its hard to get the balance right.

Yesterday was my first day in months that I tracked from beginning to end. It was ok through the day, im the evening the snack temptation was tricky - I usually have a sweet treat in the evening, which is in my deficit, and stuck to it, but it was hard!! Day 6 of the jab cycle was probably not the wisest day to restart getting on track 😂😂

Remembered to weigh in too - new weight of 13st 1.6lbs. Logged it on Nutracheck and everything 😬😬 First goal is getting back down to 12st 6lb!

I have a holiday on November so I will be planning a target for that too at some point. Maybe 11st 7lb?

Well done on your NSV @LetitGoDLP!

NSVs while I'm working on getting rid of the holiday weight gain...

I blew the dust off my weights and actually used them this morning - first time in months so only did a few minutes but it felt really good 💪

Yoga also completed this morning 🧘‍♀️😁

Finally, I got out for a quick stroll around a local cricket pitch - only 3,000 steps in total, but better than nothing!

Trying to get back in the zone - lots of water, back to small portions, but the bits of exercise really help me feel positive and engaged with it all 💪💪💪💪
