Huge congratulations in order @MooBaggage !!! All achieved and no returns to bigger digits! 🏆🎉

And the same to @MoneyJo - great loss and well done !🏆🎉

And I can definitely relate to funny body feelings (same experience/worry that I have lumps. Didn’t go through with seeking gp advice (I’m generally a chicken) and now think it might be a protruding bone…☺️).

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 16/10/2026 10:16

MooBaggage · 16/10/2026 11:34

NSV: my bum covering hoodie... actually covers my bum :)

(at the start of the year, it was awkwardly hoisted around my waist!)

Hatty65 · 16/10/2026 18:24

@MooBaggage Congratulations! That's amazing, and I'm jolly glad you bought the shoes.

I did my weekly weigh in this morning and weighed the same (16 stone 9lb), which is unsurprising. I've utterly sabotaged myself this week for some reason by eating chocolate, cake and snacking on mini pork pies and stuff. Even though I'm not hungry my stupid self destruct button seems determined to pretend 'Oh you can eat whatever you like because you are on magic jabs. Have a Magnum. Marvellous'.

I've repeatedly told myself, 'This is dumb - you are spending almost £200 a month to still eat shit, what IS the point?' but it hasn't sunk in properly. So I've had Jab 4 today and I'm going to try harder next week.

Years of being a 'fat lass' who crams food in even WHEN I'm not in the slightest bit hungry is clearly going to take a bit of effort to get over.

MooBaggage · 16/10/2026 23:08

@Hatty65 I'm sorry it's been one of those weeks - I definitely think being on MJ and losing weight is just as hard psychologically as it is physically - our minds (well, my mind at least) loves to sabotage us at every turn...

New jab, new week though - you can do this! Up your water maybe (always what I do when things start going wobbly!) and eat lovely protein-y things! I cooked a load of chicken the other day, in soy sauce and honey and I snacked on it all day - was tasty, filling and I didn't care that every time I had a coffee I had another load of chicken 😁

@MooBaggage that is wonderful, congratulations! So happy for you & v inspiring.

Do we get to see the shoes?

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 17/10/2026 09:15

Delighted to be in the 80s! Have been stuck since end of August which was frustrating. I increased my eating for a few weeks (was pleased to not increase weight during this), rearranged my exercise a little and then went back to plan a week or so ago. Now the scales are moving again! I've been reading up on body set point, which inspired the mini break. Pre-MJ I think this break would have ended in lard-carnage, but I think I was moderate and it was enough to relax my body into accepting further loss.

@SmallTreeDeepRoots that's great news - hurrah for things being on the move again!! 😍

I think the same thing happened with ne this week - I upped my calories on the cruise and ate more for 10 days or so, then snapped back into my usual routine when I got back and it got things moving. The tricky bit was always the snapping back - we just have to remember that MJ lets us do that, which is bloody amazing 😬

These are the shoes... 😍🙈🙈🙈

I do not currently own any shoes shoes. I live in boots in the winter and sandals in the summer, so this is a bonkers deviation from the norm for me!!

I have no clue when I'll wear them and what with, but just thought maybe I could be a dramatic shoes person now I'm all healthy 🤦‍♀️😁😁😁

Can you recommend any reading about the set point

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 17/10/2026 09:54

@Twizzletoe I enjoyed “Why we eat (too much)” by Andrew Jenkinson. I found it fascinating. Not sure about his rules in the last section, but the first two parts were illuminating. The book is a few years old now, but he’s an NHS bariatric surgeon and not selling anything (other than the book) which I always appreciate!

Lovely shoes @MooBaggage - my future slim self also has dreams of glamorously wafting around instead of slobbing about in jeans and converse. I hope they make you feel like the star you are!

HelenDenver · 17/10/2026 10:22

Fabulous shoes 👠 @MooBaggage

PipkinOfPepper · 17/10/2026 11:42

These are gorgeous @MooBaggage - I hope they serve as a wonderful reminder of your hard work every time you look at them 👠

Twizzletoe · 17/10/2026 12:00

Thanks for the recommendation @SmallTreeDeepRoots will add to my kindle. I’m currently rereading “life without diabetes” to remind me of one of my main motivators. Lose some vis eral fat to reduce my risk of diabetes.

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 17/10/2026 13:40

@Twizzletoe Will check that out - always up for a recommendation (and avoiding diabetes!)

Well done! @SmallTreeDeepRoots that's really great achievement. Heading to your 5th target now.

I did same when weight loss stagnated... apart from going back to the drawing board and reviewing everything:- exercise, sleep, water, the quality of my calories, I found increasing my calories for a while and then going back to plan also helped kickstart weight loss again.

Cheesecake53 · 17/10/2026 18:50

Thank you for the book recommendation @SmallTreeDeepRoots, I ordered it too, and congratulations to the 80s!!!!
