Looks like our first thread is almost full so thought I'd start a new one and link it.
The one where we head into the summer feeling lighter and hopefully on the right path x

Morning everyone, hope you are all still doing well.
I had my first gain this week, just .8 of a lb but it doesn't feel great. I have eaten out and badly a few times (we have a big group of family visiting) and I have had a few stressful things happening, as well as giving up nicotine, so it's not hugely surprising, but I am disappointed.
Onwards though! Next week will be better.

Hiya! I think I’ve got some tummy issue, super bloated, constipated, got burning feeling. Gonna try up my fibre supplements and water

if I could afford I think I would have gone up to 7.5mg now as I’m 50/50 putting my own efforts in some days and haven’t now seen a new loss in about 10-14 days.

So feel like I’ve paid for nothing - I know that’s not the case as I’ve been in a deficit so know scale can be misleading and there’s so much impacting it, but can’t help looking at that and thinking should I just pay more and it will be back to -1kg/week and I can finish this sooner and pay less in the long run? Dilemma!

It's tricky isn't it? I guess it's weighing up whether you will actually save much in the long run by staying on that dose, or whether a month at a higher dose will kick start things again.
I've tried to stay low, for cost reasons, but finally went up to 5 last week (although have felt barely any suppression this week and gained!) but perhaps I would have gained more if I hadn't.

I am now only a few pounds from target, but they seem to be the hardest to lose!

mounjaroatlast · 28/08/2026 14:25

I have been on holiday for a few days, but have been very good. 7.5 still seems to be working very well for me, no food noise, not feeling hungry, feeling full when do eat. I made sensible choices with food, ate the 400 cal chicken meal not the 1200 cal gammon meal Grin
I did cave one day and have a double scoop ice cream, but I actually craved it, and seeing as most of the time I literally don't have an appetite for anything, I did really enjoy it.

I am now 120kg, so 17kg total loss in 19 jabs. 120kg is apparently 18.9 stone. I know that is still very overweight, but for me, who was 23 stone at my heaviest around 6 years ago, it seems like a miracle.

MyGardenDaisies · 28/08/2026 15:45

@mounjaroatlast we are same weight then!! I’m also on 19 weeks now.
and similar BMI I think as I’m 5ft10!

Maybe I should also go up to 7.5mg and just aim to be finished sooner so over time the cost will be the same or less than staying on lower dose for longer

I do think I got a lot of loss (15kg) out of 2.5/5mg

Interestingly, I weighed this morning ( I weigh most days) and I am 2lbs down from yesterdays weigh in, I imagine I had a fair bit of water retention after a few nights of drinking wine and eating saltier food when eating out.

This brings me to a total loss of 3 stone since January, and 2 stone 8lbs since I started Mounjaro in April.
So I am now 1.4lbs from target, and the lightest I can remember being in decades. Possibly since I was a teenager - I have basically been overweight or obese my entire adult life.
Current weight is 10 stone 8.4lbs, target weight is 10 stone 7lbs. I am 5 foot 7 so my BMI is now 23.3.
I think this feels like a good place to stop losing and try and maintain, I feel good in my skin and clothes, I am wearing size 10-12 which feels like a healthy size. I am nervous of losing much more on my face, and looking gaunt and old, plus I suspect if I lost more it would be from my boobs and bum, and I like my curves.

I think I am going to try and maintain within a range, rather than trying to stick at a specific weight - maybe four pounds either side of where I am now?

Thesehills · 29/08/2026 19:37

Week 20 weigh in today.
Starting weight: 15 stone 7lbs
Todays weight: 13 stone 0 lbs
1lb off this week.

Plodding on.

I'm still on the reduced dosage of 2.5mg and jabbing every so often whilst weaning myself off MJ and slowly losing the last stone or so. I can get to around 12 days with ok suppression. I have to be mindful of what I'm eating and my calorie intake whereas on 5mg the suppression just knocked off any thoughts of food.

I guess this is much more normal and hopefully easing the transition rather than eventually going cold turkey.

Well done to absolutely everyone, great job one and all. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

PS: I bought a pair of size 12 trousers today, the last pair I bought were an 18. 😊

NettleTea · 29/08/2026 22:01

I weighed in a day early and after last weeks 0.3kg gain, I have dropped 1.5kg. There is no rhyme nor reason, but I am under 12 stone for the first time in a great many years, which is a very good and happy thing to celebrate.

custardlover · 30/08/2026 21:49

I love these triumphs!

MyGardenDaisies · Yesterday 06:53

Hello! I’ve decided to just go up to 7.5ml and hope it works and I’m at goal by end of the year so it would be a few months shorter than on 5mg, and about 200£ more expensive overall, but hopefully not a struggle !!

not even weighed myself last Monday or this Monday, even if I know I’m in a small deficit, but with the strange stomach bloating and bug, I feel very bloated and any number now would feel misleading and discouraging. So just continuying until I feel like checking again haha

mounjaroatlast · Yesterday 11:43

Good luck Daisies. I just weighed and was 118.8kg. I have been ill again though with the terrible burps and nausea. I ate very well and very little on holiday but on the way home bought 2 cakes and a sausage roll from this lovely bakery, and I think I then overate, and it made me so ill again. I kept throwing up clear bile again, on and off all day a couple of days ago.

I jabbed a day early last week due to going away on Sunday, but am jabbing today to get back to Monday again.

I hope you feel better soon. I have also found that I really pay for bad choices, either extreme bloating or bad stomach ache

I’m away for work, visiting my HQ, and a lot of people haven’t seen me for a while. They are all goggling and being very ‘WOW you’ve lost so much weight! How have you done it!’ And making me feel very self-conscious and stressed out! I don’t want to tell them. What are you telling people who ask? I am finding it very intrusive and stressful to be honest!

MrsPepperpotty · Yesterday 20:36

Hello all, I'm losing more slowly than some of you (1 stone 9lb in total since April) and I'm up to 10mg now - I guess I just don't respond as strongly as some people. Even on 10mg I don't get a massive amount of suppression, but I am still losing slowly but surely so hopefully I'll get there in the end. I'm under 13 stone now for the first time in about 10 years!

@custardlover I'm being upfront when people ask and saying I'm on the jabs.

People have just started to notice my weight loss too, I tell people I'm on MJ and what a wonderful tool it's been for me.

I think the general feeling is that if you've dropped a good amount of weight, the expectation is that you're jabbing.

"Everyone's on it aren't they" as someone said to me last week.

You could say you’re being more health-conscious. Whether you add that you’re also using weight loss medication to support this is up to you.
