Got mine on preorder…. I’m excited and a little apprehensive… have two stone to lose.

I think I’m going to do it. It’s a ‘lot’ of money for me but the pills make it much easier and I can afford to at least see if it helps. I’ve never tried any of them so super nervous!

RubyRedAndGertieGreen · 18/06/2026 16:57

How long has it been taking people to get approved on Chemist4U? It's been well over 48 hours for me now. I know they must be really busy, and quicker approval won't make the tablets ready any quicker, but I'm getting a bit nervous now I've psyched myself up...

I was terrified of doing injections so thinking about the tablets. Are they any cheaper. How much is approximately cost. I can’t justify £200 but could £100 a month.

Megsdaughter · 20/06/2026 00:09

No, im on the injections and the pills are £20 more expensive!

SilenceInside · 20/06/2026 00:15

@Rubymoney the injections are not at all terrifying by the way and I’m speaking as someone who has been needle phobic in the past. The tablets are similar in price to the injections at the moment, so I can’t really see the appeal of them.

I've been waiting 3 days to be approved - although the money came out my account immediately. Have you heard back yet? @RubyRedAndGertieGreen

I contacted my WLI provider to ask about prices and they’re no cheaper than the injections

at least with WLI you can eke out by buying a higher dose and injecting a lower dose from it. So if they are the same price as injections then to me they become more pricey! Also I assumed they would be the same price as the injections as they need to make their money back with the research etc, and they won’t want people jumping to the cheaper option.

No, still not heard back @gratefulmezze. Glad to hear it's not just me - hopefully it's because of the mad rush as the tablets have become available for preorder. Fingers crossed we'll hear soon... Feeling a bit hopeless at the moment, so confirmation would definitely help with my focus and motivation!

kooljegs · 20/06/2026 10:06

The tablets don’t appeal to me at all, I’ve read the gastro side effects can be more pronounced because WLI manage to bypass the stomach? I also don’t really understand the benefit if they’re the same price. You also can’t just get it out your system by stopping them, it has to build anyway. So except from the poster who wants to hide it better, I don’t really see what the benefit is? (Not inflammatory, genuine question, I thought it was meant to be the price point).

Honestly anyone waiting for tablets because they’re scared at the thought of injections I strongly urge you to look at what the injections entail, it’s honestly not scary, the pens are so clever.

I think it's also a psychological thing for me - I've always been tempted by the injections, but the thought of injecting myself seems a bit extreme somehow? Whereas, I'm already on tablets for other things, so it feels a lot more natural? Logically, I know it's the same drug and ultimately there is no difference!

No I do know exactly what you mean, you feel like you’re doing soemthing extreme to your body, abnormal almost as injections aren’t really a common thing, whereas we will pop pills for lots of reasons.

I’m sure I’d have felt the same if I’d had the 2 options when I started, I guess I find the injections so normal and convenient now, I wouldn’t see the benefit. I’ve also shed that guilt around using them.

SilenceInside · 20/06/2026 10:22

I had to self inject clexane after both my pregnancies, so maybe that got me over the hurdle of thinking that an injection is more extreme than taking a tablet.

Makes sense, I was just hoping they would be cheaper as they’re less effective!

The efficacy is the same, or only very slightly lower. Mainly related to absorption orally so you need a higher dose to get the same blood level.

both groups lose the same % body weight over the same time period though.

price will be market driven. It’s private so people will pay the same price, if not more for the convenience of tablets.

like pp it’s mostly psychological for me. Injections feel like “medical intervention” and I’m not obese enough to actually feel like I need that. Tablets feel more like not such a big deal somehow. Plus the convenience of not needing to store in a fridge etc.

nc43214321 · 20/06/2026 11:41

I am considering this, where is the cheapest long term option, one I was looking at was £150 a month 🤨

The efficacy isn’t listed as the same though - the tablets show 16% weight loss and the WG WLI show 20%. MJ shows 22%.

Me too, I’m on the third day of waiting I’m guessing that a lot of people signed up for the pills and they are overwhelmed!

StickyPits · 20/06/2026 12:05

Hello all, I signed up with Voy last night as I feeling very miserable about my weight sneaking up on me again. I work full time (sitting down) and am I carer so life is full on. I don’t have the freedom to just leave the house for a long walk or a decent gym visit. I’m tired all the time and I know I’m leaning on food to boost my mood/energy levels. It’s needs to stop but it’s so hard. Hopefully these pills will help. Signed up for three months to see how it goes.

Sorry, didn't know that.

Can I ask - has anyone been approved by Voy with a BMI of 27 but no other health conditions?

InQuiresandplaceswheretheysing · 21/06/2026 23:53

Thinking about it but if there is not much difference in price, I’ll stick with the injections. As they work well for me.

InQuiresandplaceswheretheysing · 21/06/2026 23:54

Does anyone have a ball park figure for the costs? I get my injections from Asda.
