@Laska2Merylsthank you! I normally wake early and take it then, and often go back to sleep for an hour or more before having my usual morning tea. That might explain why I’ve had pretty good appetite suppression with it.

Hi all, I swallowed my first Wegovy tablet a few minutes ago. I’m cautiously optimistic that this IS the magic pill that will enable me to finally have a bit of willpower after 6pm — I have it until then and then suddenly, even after a decent dinner, I turn into a ravenous snack hound.

Also, previous posters mention skipping days for various reasons — does it really clear out of the body that quickly that that works effectively? Just thinking in advance that if I have a lot of side effects, I may want to take a day off now and then (but fingers crossed I’ll sail through like many of you!)

I’m back from holiday and have nervously stepped on the scales. I’ve put on 700g of the 1kg I had lost. In a way I’m not too bothered about this as it’s probably just alcohol calories combined with the lack of exercise. I felt like I ate well whilst away although I did partake in dessert which I wouldn’t do at home. Had no side effects from the pills so all in all I’m pleased and will now crack on with upping exercise and eating normally again.

Manged to take my pill an hour or so before I got up and it's definitely made a difference. its 2pm and I can't be bothered making a sandwich and had no breakfast.
This is the 4mg tablet.

I started the 9mg dose yesterday. I felt mild nausea for a short while but it went away - same reaction this morning. I haven’t noticed greater appetite suppression yet, but I do remember that when I went to 4mg it took a few days to show up so I suspect it’s cumulative to a degree. My weight loss has slowed right down in the last month, which is why the clinic put me on the next dose up - let’s see if this makes a difference. I’ve lost about 10% of my body weight so far over a five month period, but I would still like to lose another 10%.

I am on day 6 of 4mgs and have maximum appetite suppression. I am forcing myself to eat two tiny meals of mainly protein but struggling to eat 600 calories a day at the moment. I am drinking plenty of water and am terrible in the heat so that isn't helping. Feeling ok though and look to be on for a 4lbs loss in this first week on 4gs which is the same amount I lost in the whole month on 1.5mgs. I have an underactive thyroid and am on levo for that plus hormone blockers for a previous breast cancer so between those two it was never going to be easy for me to lose weight so I'm really happy.

Coming back to report I’ve made a mistake going for a second month in 1.5 😬😳 I’ve gone from great but manageable appetite suppression to feeling completely normal 10 days in. Hungry and want snacks too. Back up a kg.

im going to have to step up my willpower but roll on 4mg order which I might be tempted to do a little early….

I’ve started on my first 4mg today. 7lb down on the first month of 1.5. I did have a few days break as we went away and felt the hunger pang really returning. I’m hoping for another 7lb down this month and then I’ll see if I need to move up to the next dose

I've done two weeks now on 1.5mg, no real weight loss to speak of - I'm definitely less hungry and eating less, but that doesn't seem to be reflected on the scales

Yes, along with awful nausea since moving up to 4mg. Stopped taking it today, really disappointed and have 20 tablets going to waste. Have read that it can take 6-7 weeks for it to leave your body entirely.

So I'm on holiday - I'm also about 16 of the 4mg. The beginning of my holiday was an interesting experience as I literally couldn't eat more than about 5 mouthfuls of anything. I have now managed to push through 😳. I'm also drinking like a fish. So it will be interesting to see what the scales say when I get home. Then I have to make a decision about sticking on the 4 or moving up to the 9. For cost alone I might stick with 4 then move companies for the 9.

Im.just back from a weekend away, was a friends big birthday party and also we had several meals out. Wine was drunk. I did try and make good choices but one day was a pizza lunch at birthday friends request. But I'm delighted that the scales say exactly the same as when I went ( overall 8lbs down still). So im counting that as a good result for this week .
Im actually doing fine on 4mg , luckily so far, still have 2 weeks to go before I need decide whether to stick with those or go up to 9mg .

Interesting comments, I too moved up to the 4mg when I could, and have been giving it a good hour after taking the tablet. I'm finding the 4mg is much more like the MJ feelings and weight is declining :) Two questions, anyone else getting an odd taste? It's very metalic, I'm using mouthwash lots!! And has anyone started to miss the occasional day, thinking that it would spread the cost a bit?

Im definitely talking its everyday and waiting at least an hour before any food or drink. Fortunately I often wake around 5.30 briefly so if I can I take it then and doze off again . We eat dinner early here so always finished by 7.30pm so a good amount of fast time overnight.

Taking the pill every day. I hadn't considered reducing it as this is my first time on any weight loss medication so I've committed in my head to the expense. I want to lose at least 2.5stone before I'd consider tweaking any dosage frequency.

Im pretty sure that I'll go up to 9.mg at the end of this packet , but yes its expensive. Im with Asda/Zava, they seem comparable in price atm and im happy with them so far.

I think we may be Wegovy twins as we had the same reaction to the 1.5 and 4mg. I have just come back from holiday and felt the same - full after a few bites and having to push myself to eat more when we were out for dinner. Came home to find I had still lost 2lb last week which is a first for being on holiday!!

Weigh day today after 1 week on 1.5mg and I'm down 3lbs which I am thrilled with.
Had nausea yesterday and some acid reflux but I had my dinner late on Monday night so I'm putting it down to that. But so far so good.

SW: 11st 7lbs
CW: 11st 4lbs

I have decided you have to give this at least 6 months starting at such a small dose and working up. I was a bit disheartened after 6 weeks but I am still 3kg down, so that's trending the right way.
I definitely have a few tummy issues on the 4.5 and find it hard to decide what I fancy to eat.
I think I might stay on this dose another month.

Just wondering if anyone has tried switching suppliers when it comes to reorder time?
Im with MedExpress and my 4mg dose is £119 or if I move up to 9mg, it's £159.

I don't want to go through video consultations as the main draw with MedExpress has been how easy it's been to order with them.
Does anyone have experience of shifting suppliers each month to save money and can recommend a new supplier that I could switch to easily?

@Florabella well now back and sadly I didn't follow in your footsteps with a holiday loss, instead I gained 2lbs. Which isn't bad I suppose - given I would normally expect about half a stone gain. Whilst I couldn't eat much I hit the drinks hard (by my usual standards anyway). Oh and I ate a lot of ice-cream which is unusual me.
After much contemplation, I've decided to give 4mg a second go I'm interested to see if it has more impact now I'm home and can eat what I want rather than from menus.

@user1468915974, I haven't moved providers yet as I'm locked into a subscription. But I did some hunting around as I'm going to move after this next batch. Bolt seemed to accept me with no issues whatsoever. And are dramatically cheaper than Voy who I'm currently with.
The impression I get is when you are already on the tablets it's easier to move about.

I have just completed 30 days of wegovy and started on the 4mg tablet today

The smaller dose stopped working entirely for me and i was back to old eating habits

I dont think i have lost weight. I don’t feel different (a bit less bloated) but am hoping the appetite suppression will return this week

I’ve been on the 9mg tablet for a couple of weeks now and at first I thought it wasn’t making much difference but in the last week I’ve suddenly lost 2lb faster than I would expect. What I am finding is that I can just not finish a plate of food because I’m not hungry any more. I’ve had family visiting from the UK since last Tuesday (they’re leaving tomorrow though :-( ) but in terms of the number of steps I do I haven’t really done more than normal, and I haven’t been to the gym as I normally would.

Regarding alcohol - I think the problem there is that unlike with food it gives you a lot of calories but doesn’t fill you up much so it’s really easy to blunt the effect of the Wegovy with what doesn’t seem like a lot of drink. In the end, the pill works because you take in fewer calories than you’re using because you don’t feel so hungry and inclined to snack.
