Got mine on preorder…. I’m excited and a little apprehensive… have two stone to lose.

Good news is today I took my first 4mg. No side effects and noticeably fuller for longer

That’s good to know. My 4mg was dispatched today, so fingers crossed I have better appetite suppression with that

IVFMammy · 03/08/2026 19:03

I’ve just ordered my 4mg today, I’ve been ok on the 1.5mg but in the last few days have noticed cravings for sweet things again.

Roundisashape · 03/08/2026 22:17

Day 2 of 4mg here. No symptoms other than the first 5 mins of feeling sick after taking it. I've just got used to that now.
I think suppression is better. I've managed to stick to just 3 meals and not think about snacking all day. And yesterday I couldn't finish my dinner. So definitely having more impact. But I got lulled the first 4 days of 1.5 so time will tell.

Henowner · 03/08/2026 23:10

I've ordered 4mg today, will start those next week. I had less suppression the last few weeks but have been less hungry the last 2 days on 1.5mg. I'm hoping the 4mg works better for me 🤞

letsgowegovy · 04/08/2026 09:28

I’m down 8lbs in nearly a month on the 1.5. I need to order the new batch today really. Worried about the big step up to 4 as I’d def not want to have side effects with holidays coming up. Not sure what I’ll do

Chickadeeinme · 04/08/2026 12:37

I had my appointment at the weight management clinic yesterday. I seem to have plateaued over the last three weeks so they’ve bumped me up to 9mg, but whether that will happen or not depends on whether the doctor has managed to get me onto a newish programme here which will keep the cost down to $50 a month (currently paying $147 a month). If not I’ll have to stay on 4mg and accept a very very slow rate of loss and stick rigidly to the lower end of my current 1300-1500 calorie range as well as keep up my current 5000 steps a day exercise. The higher dose costs $300 a month, which is a bit eye-watering.

He said that homeostasis means that as you lose weight the body reacts by trying to conserve it. Also that especially if you’re older as I am (76) you lose muscle mass, which uses more calories than fat does. This is why you have to be so careful on this pill to eat sufficient protein -100g a day, which I find hard, and to do strength training to try and build muscle.

I am in the same boat. I’ve been happy on 1.5 mg. It’s not been quite as effective as MJ jabs for me, but good enough. Food noise has become pretty minimal, I’m fuller quicker and for longer but I do get hungry at mealtimes and I have had one or two blips where I’ve eaten far too many crisps…. But I am down 6lbs in one month. I would probably just stay on 1.5 for as long as possible but I have a holiday in 4 weeks which is making me think about increasing to see if I can shed a bit extra pre-hols.

Would hate to move up tho and get horrible side effects as none on 1.5. It’s a quandary.

AndCallMeNancy · 05/08/2026 09:00

Anyone else using Bolt by the way? I’ve only got a few pills left and haven’t been sent a new box yet?

Also they asked me after only a week or so what I wanted to do for my next dose which I thought was far too early! I decided to stick at 1.5 at that point but now I’m considering increasing.

They are pretty easy to communicate with tho and I’m hoping to get it sorted today. I just assumed the new box would be sent about a week before I run out, but nothing yet. Which may work in my favour if I want to change the dose but let’s see.

I’ve decided to order the 4mg. I’m going to take for 2 weeks pre holiday and then stop taking for 2 weeks as I really don’t think I can face the nausea and tiredness when I’m away with small children. I’ve still got a few days left of 1.5mg and the feeling full is quite intense still some days. I probably could’ve stuck on 1.5 but keen to lose a bit more in time for going away as I’d like to indulge a little here and there :)

I’ve done the same today. I’ve noticed the last couple of days that suppression is a bit less so I think it’s the right time to up the dose, especially with a holiday looming.

Roundisashape · 06/08/2026 07:18

I'd be a bit cautious stopping for 2 weeks and then restarting at 4mg. I looked into this and it suggested that I would feel very sick going from 0 to the 4mg dose after that time.

As it is I am 5 days into 4mg. And I would love some of the benefits others have got from 1.5. the only thing I can take from the whole expensive experiment so far is that I haven't got any fatter - I'm not sure that was the win I had in mind 😏.

@Roundisashape how have you found the 4mg? Has it been ok for side effects?

Im stuck at 3-4lb loss on 1.5mg which I know I could've done by myself without the pills and now Im back to eating/craving crap food but at least Im not putting the weight back on!

whereswaldo · 06/08/2026 12:02

Hello, looking for some advice. I’ve just been approved with Bolt for 1.5mg pills.

I’m only just at the 25 BMI and have usually maintained my weight on One Meal A Day (OMAD) or fasting.
I’m short which means I’m continually trying to maintain half a stone lower to look in proportion.

I think it’s going to take a lot to change my mindset and eating habits to more than one meal a day- my will power hasn’t changed but my usual tactics aren’t working anymore.

Had anyone gone on the pills having been a faster before and have any tips?

AprilFlowersMay · 06/08/2026 12:27

@whereswaldo I think there's a thread somewhere on "less to lose" within the WLI section. I know you aren't on injections, but there are others on there on the pills (I keep half an eye on it even though I have a full 3 stone to lose) who might have moved from OMAD. Am I right in reading you are within normal BMI and only want to lose 7lbs? (If it's about keeping in proportion I also wonder if an exercise route might be more appropriate -- I changed shape quite dramatically after a few months of lifting.) Were you calorie counting on OMAD?

I have never ever been able to fast as I was too hungry so can't comment on that, but I can tell you that I flirt with feeling slightly sick on these pills if I haven't eaten recently so although I am not eating much at one sitting, if I don't eat three times a day I start to feel sick. I was eating 2,200 calories a day (on a good day when I am being careful) and am eating a lot less now because the pills are helping me with not wanting to eat the whole time (both between meals and within meals) -- but it sounds like you were already in a place where you weren't wanting to eat the whole time ... I am now eating 500 calories three times a day to keep the sickness at bay. Am just wondering what you are aiming for in terms of frequency and calorie count to get you to where you want to be.

whereswaldo · 06/08/2026 13:03

@AprilFlowersMaythanks for the reply. I do exercise but more spin and dance with some medium weight body conditioning so yes definitely more to do in the weights department.

I wasn’t calorie counting but restricting to one meal naturally made it easier to eat less.

thanks for the tip on less to lose thread- that’s where I’m at. Sort of surprised I’ve passed the screening tbh but want to give it a go.

great advice on three meals of 500 cal which might actually feel satiating in a way it didn’t when I did the Fast800 which is how I lost the original 3 stone!

Roundisashape · 06/08/2026 13:34

@user1468915974 I have had no side effects moving up to the 4mg. I have also lost a grand total of 2lbs after 1 month on 1.5 and 5 days on 4mg.

I'm clearly a person who is going to have to hit the big doses for it to make a difference. I still feel like I've taken nothing.

I'm also cross with myself for doing this through Voy on an expensive subscription. But I hadn't thought I'd be accepted anywhere else as BMI was under 30 (only just). Since signing up I'm inundated by cheaper offers with a lower BMI than mine!

@Roundisashape oh no ☹️
Hopefully things will start working for you.

My start BMI was 29 and I went through MedExpress without a subscription.
Im just at the point where I can feel full but I just push on and eat through it (especially if its all the things I shouldnt be eating). Hopefully this will stop on the 4mg

Evening all. I've received my 4mgs today. I've still got 5 tablets of 1.5mgs left. Has anybody started 4.mgs without completing the full 30 days of 1.5mgs? I'm thinking of doing this and keeping the 1.5mgs towards later maintenance [assuming that I'm actually successful in losing the 3 stone I'm currently trying hard to get rid of!!] I'm not usually a rule breaker but given that I've had virtually zero symptoms and lost very little weight I'm thinking it can't do much harm. Interested in thoughts of those who might know better. TIA.

Yetanotherone12 · 06/08/2026 17:32

Well day 2 on 4mg and I’m feeling it. Nausea, headache, burping. I’ve had some toast and feel like I never want to eat again.

having said that I have had about 4 hours sleep which won’t be helping. I’m booked in for a gym class so have taken one of the anti sickness meds, try and get through it then get a short nap.

@Fishhooksandjellybabies I only had 2 days left of the 1.5mg but moved up anyway. I doubt it’ll make that much difference.

Twoshoesnewshoes · 06/08/2026 19:21

@Fishhooksandjellybabies i didn’t finish my 1.5mgs, I went straight onto the 4mg.
i have come off all of it now - little effect on the 1.5 and nausea and exhaustion on the 4mg.

ilovebagpuss · 06/08/2026 19:24

I still have a few days to go on the 1.5 definitely feel not bothered about food some of the time. Then if I cook I can suddenly eat it, it's odd, I think it suppresses the constant thoughts a bit but then I'm suddenly starving when it appears.
Felt a bit sick on and off as well so will complete these before the 4mg.
I do think it's a 6 months to a year journey not a magic pill.
I also hate the half an hour thing when you take it and want my coffee!

chalkyc2 · 06/08/2026 20:07

I’ve just reordered at 1.5mg again but annoyed I’ve left it a bit late without realising! Have been away and only have 2 pills left, and now my order has been sitting waiting approval for the last 36 hours. I’m going to run out!

I’ve stuck to 1.5 as have had a rubbish month with a raging ear infection and 2 trips away so really haven’t been able to focus properly and have done no exercise. I’m down 4kg all the same which is fine and I definitely have less starving hunger!

Pls pray for my approval and quick delivery! What an idiot - I thought I’d get a reminder about re-ordering!

Fishhooksandjellybabies · 06/08/2026 20:22

@chalkyc2 if the postal service wasn't so shite around here I could send you a couple of mine to tide you over. If it's any consolation my repeat was approved yesterday and arrived this morning by 24 hour service so hopefully you'll just about make it.

chalkyc2 · 06/08/2026 20:24

@FishhooksandjellybabiesFingers crossed!!
