@pickle- I’ve lost 10 pounds in around 3 months so also slow. I was hoping for 1-2 a week so it’s slower than I had hoped but I’m now up to 0.75mg and feeling an impact, I will gradually go up to 1mg over the next few weeks too and expect my weight loss to increase then

I’m going up slowly to manage side effects and create a sustainable weight loss although I would prefer it closer to 2 pounds a week than 1!

Well done on your weight loss. At least its going in the right direction. I didn't realise they did a 0.75 mg dose???

I get that it’s frustrating but I don’t think 10 pounds in 3 months is really too slow and I don’t think going up a dose will necessarily help you lose more quickly. I’m three months in and I’m now the weight I was three years ago. I would say that losing three years of weight gain in three months is a very good rate of loss! If you’re not losing fast enough, I suggest tracking your calorie intake and your protein macro and seeing whether it matches up with what you need to lose weight. I’m certain I couldn’t get enough protein in to maintain muscle mass on only 1,000 calories a day. That’s what you would need to eat to achieve a 2 lb weight loss per week. The medication doesn’t make the weight come off quicker, all it can do is help you manage your calorie intake to achieve weight loss. I watched a YouTube video earlier today about maximising results on a GLP1 medication:

I’m so sorry for coming into an established thread with my questions. I hope I don’t annoy anyone.

but I’d love your input.

after a day of constiaption (I only did first dose sat night) I’ve had 12 hours of terrible tummy noise and watery diarrhea. It doesn’t seem to stop. I’m not at all hungry, also.

Will the diarrhea calm down? I can’t even go to the gym as I would normally as I’m worried about it. I don’t want this drug to stop my good, normal things!

WoIsMe · 26/08/2026 06:51

Welcome to the thread, @Flowydress I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling. I have heard of other people having alternating constipation and diarrhoea on Wegovy. Have you been able to eat anything? Are you drinking enough? Can you rehydrate with something like Diorlyte so you don’t get dehydrated? And eat some toast if you can.

The good news is that symptoms like this are usually only extreme when you start taking the medication or when you increase your dose so, hopefully, it will settle down very quickly.

Thanks. I am drinking quite a lot. I'll see how it goes today. I guess it's all a question of wait and see - such a personal journey for everyone. And thanks for the welcome!

Thanks for sharing this video, it has been really helpful and made me start to have a re-think about how I'm approaching this.
I think I'm probably expecting the jabs to do far too much of the "heavy lifting" of losing weight and I need to start making some more sensible decisions about what I'm eating & drinking. Given I have been largely eating and drinking as normal (albeit stopping slightly earlier than previously - so perhaps not eating as much in any one sitting) it is a wonder I have lost 8 lbs at all.
I guess I'm most disappointed though at the level of food noise - this does feel as pre-WLIs levels, so it is the normal daily diet battles of "I really want that / no, you can't have it" that I was really hoping to minimise - at least at the start so I could get a good portion of weight off and then use that as my incentive to keep going and be far more self-motivated to keep getting results.

WoIsMe · 26/08/2026 12:42

@pickle75 I tend towards insulin resistance so I find a lower carbohydrate intake really makes a big difference with the food noise. I was having a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon for breakfast at first - to try and get the protein in - and I feel like it made me stay hungry all day. Lately, I’ve been having a four-egg omelette with bacon, peppers, spring onions and a bit of grated cheddar, and that will keep me going until mid-afternoon. If I need to snack, I have some Greek yogurt with chia seeds and raspberries and/or 30g of peanuts and/or a kiwi (got to get some fibre in there!) Then I have dinner with my family. So I’m really only eating two meals plus two snacks every day. Sometimes I enter my food into the Google AI to find out how many calories and how much protein it is. I do think that what and when you eat can make a big difference to your hunger levels and the food noise. Before I started Wegovy, I did intermittent fasting 16:8 and I noticed that on the odd day when I had breakfast instead of fasting, I would end up snacking all day.

I think it’s also important to develop habits that will help
you keep the weight off in the long-term. I see a lot of Facebook posts about people regaining weight but they never emphasise that about 40% of people do manage to keep the weight off. I want to be in that 40%!

Hi all. Been absent for the last week or so as been on hols. Will catch up on a what I have missed in a bit.

I weighed today, and I only put on 2lb! I would normally put on 10-14lb on a 10-14 day holiday so I am incredibly pleased! I had some treats and alcohol but the lack of food noise for me is the wondrous thing, I just wasn’t interested in stuffing my face constantly with crisps, puddings, ice creams, 3 course meals. Hoping to stay on 0.5 dose and lose another 8-10lbs. Before trying to weeklong out a maintenance plan.

I caved and went to get a bra fitting at Bravissimo because my bras were wrinkling at the front after losing weight. It actually made a huge difference getting the right size. It looks so much better and it was a nice feeling getting a smaller size, I've gone from a 34" back to a 32! I only bought one bra in the hope that I'll need another smaller size in a few months - why are they so expensive?! I think it will give me a bit more confidence to wear some smaller sizes of clothes or more fitted clothes that I haven't been able to wear for ages, rather than living in baggy t-shirt and hoodies.

I'm so pleased for you. Well done! ❤️

There's nothing better than a proper fitting bra WolsMe
I can now pull my jeans down without undoing the button so I think I'm going to have to go through the pain of buying new jeans.
I'm not sure which is worse, new bra or new jeans 😁
