If we all started in June just wondering why the doses are on the low side for you all . I thought it was to go up every month . Currently on 1mg and honestly it is only now I feel any weight loss progress . But I do feel nauseous for the day after injection. I will finish the month on 1 mg but should I stay on it or continue to go up in dosage ?

I did two months at .25 before moving to .5.

i was losing weight (approximately 1lb per week) on .25 so stayed at that. I want my weight loss to be gradual. I'm happy with losing that amount each week.

Everyone will be different and different factors taken into account.

The lower doses are designed to get you use to the Weygovy and it's when you reach 1 that the effects are really suppose to be noticeable, but everyone reacts differently.

I've found a small loss on 0.25 but I feel ready to go up to 0.5 in a week's time. I do think if I continue to see that loss and more, I might stay on that for another month extra. I'm like you, I'd rather lose it slowly and in line with strength training. I just don't want loose skin with quick loss, like a lot of the celebs have. I suppose it depends on how much everyone wants to lose.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I will stay on 1mg until end of month and see how the side effects feel. I do like seeing the weight loss though ! Wonder will the pill be any different.

I’ve just gone up to 1.7 and am experiencing quite a lot of nausea

Hi all

can I please ask - I’ve not got a huge amount to lose but I’ve been started on 0.25 pen. I started Sat night - I’ve noticed no difference whatsoever. Am I being too premature or should I expect nothing yet?

it’s meant to go up to 0.5 next month - would it be wrong to ask for 1mg?

Its a bit soon to feel anything. Have you not found your appetite less for bigger meals? Is it last Saturday you started? Best not to skip a dose because your body's still finding its way with it.

@Flowydressthe medication builds up in your system over time so it can take 5-6 weeks on a dose before it’s at maximum effect. The clinical trials moved everyone up a dose every four weeks so that everyone got exactly the same treatment and were comparable. There’s no need to move up a dose if you’re still getting benefits. I’m struggling to eat enough protein at the moment and the appetite suppression is really affecting how much I drink so I don’t want to go up a dose and risk eating too little and losing muscle mass and/or getting dehydrated because my thirst is suppressed.

Flowydress · 23/08/2026 23:30

I haven’t noticed any benefits yet? Only two days in. And I guess I was asking if you can go up two metrics rather than one every four weeks?

It was yesterday that I did my first jab - not last week. Am I being ridiculously premature?

WoIsMe · 24/08/2026 07:02

I don’t think you can go up two doses at a time @Flowydress but the medication will
become more effective as it builds up in your system. Even with each individual dose it takes 24-48 hours to reach peak concentration in your bloodstream.

Yes but even within a few days you may feel your appetite change. It's a strange feeling because mine was quite quick but I had a few days where I just kept getting hungry so now have upped my protein. Let us know how your progress is. After 4 weeks I can't tell my scale weight because it keeps fluctuating, which is normal. I've definitely lost weight because a jacket I couldn't anywhere near zip up now zips up all the way and a pair of trousers now fit me. Those 4 weeks on your first dose will fly by.

WoIsMe · 24/08/2026 07:59

I found it was quite a subtle effect at first. It wasn’t that the food noise switched off or I couldn’t eat anything. More that I was eating more slowly (because I didn’t feel as hungry) and, after I had eaten most of my meal, the rest didn’t seem as attractive so I could stop eating. The feeling of satiety was a whisper, rather than a shout.

Now that I’ve been on 0.5 mg for six doses, I’m finding it more tricky to eat enough food, especially protein, in a day. I definitely don’t want to go up another dose at this point as I can’t afford to lose muscle mass.

What are people doing about bras? I’ve gone down two cup sizes so my bras aren’t fitting well but it doesn’t seem worth spending a lot of money buying more if I’m going to keep losing weight. I think I’ll wait until I’ve gone down a band size and then maybe buy a couple of bras to keep me going.

Yeah that sounds like a good idea with the bras. My straps fall down a lot and I'm not scooping myself in so much. I'm going to wait and see what happens in the 0.5 dose in a week's time. Interesting what you say about eating enough food. I reckon I'm going to see that change because on the first dose it's easy to get all your nutrients in. I still can't even eat half a main meal. If I have steak and mash with vegs as a treat, I only eat a quarter of the plate. Can hardly touch the steak.

LoSlo3toGo · 24/08/2026 09:05

👋🏼- still here although I know I’ve not been very active on the thread so plenty to catch up on !

increase my dose to 0.8 & it’s been effective at managing hunger for me (though the increase from 0.5 to 0.8 has given me constipation again)

2 pounds off this week so 10 since I started …. VERY slow considering it’s 3 months but then I have been going up slowly & not exercising etc (some unexpected personal stressors since I started end of May)

10 pounds is a real loss vs a fluctuation & I’m getting back into some light exercise now so hopefully continue to see results

looking forward to catching up on the thread & keep going everyone!

@Flowydress yes, you’re being premature. Wait for it to kick in. It will build up slowly with a peak mid-week. Then you’ll find you’ll feel more effects each week.

Your provider won’t increase your dose from 0.25 to 1. Or at least they shouldn’t. You’ll need to go 0.25 > 0.5 > 1. I’m on my second month of 0.5 because 1. I am losing on this dose and 2. My side effect were pretty unpleasant, so I didn’t want them to get even worse.

@WoIsMe I’ve got some old, but still perfect condition bras I’m waiting to fit back into. Can’t wait to ditch my current ones!

Thank you. I've actually got constipation today. Is that a thing?

And how common is hair shedding?

I'm wondering whether this is for me...

TerrorAustralis · 24/08/2026 13:28

Constipation is definitely a thing. It can also go to the other extreme as well.

No idea about hair shedding, but I think that’s a longer-term issue, not something that happens straight away. I’ve read varying things about what causes it. One is lack of protein & nutrients. Another is that fat loss leads to reduced oestrogen which somehow shrinks the hair follicles - that sounds less likely to me. It’s also being touted by a company trying to sell supplements, so I take it with a pinch of salt.

Does the constipation stop? Or if you get it, it's just how it is?

TerrorAustralis · 24/08/2026 15:02

It’s stopped for me. But if you see some of my posts up-thread, my symptoms have been kind of week-on/week-off recently.

Teaxberspet · 24/08/2026 22:24

Hi, this may be a silly question but I’m going away on Wednesday night when I would normally inject. Can I do it a day early on Tuesday to save me having to take it with me? Thank you

Yes you can. I've done it a few times. 😄

pickle75 · 25/08/2026 11:00

Morning all, I have also been quiet for a while. I've dipped in and out to keep up with posts but to be honest, I have been struggling with my motivation and overall feel despondent with my progress to date. I've lost 8lbs in 11 weeks so had lots of staying the same. But in the main, in terms of positive effects of WLIs, I think I can see my appetite as diminished slightly so eating less but food noise the same, even more so with sweet things and so I'm eating more regularly than i did before. But, I do feel heartened by @Nofeckingway as I have also increased steadily so yesterday was by first 1mg jab and now I'm really hoping this in my turning point and I start to feel/see some real results.

Nofeckingway · 25/08/2026 11:22

@pickle75 I felt exactly the same , even the sweet things . When it was hot just ate ice creams . But two weeks in at 1mg finally seeing noticeable results .

WoIsMe · 25/08/2026 14:16

I’m sure you’ll see a big difference at 1 mg @pickle75
