So Wednesday is weigh in day for me and I've seemingly lost 4lbs! That's a total of 8 over the last three weeks.
I think I may need to get some new scales though as I certainly don't feel like I've lost that much. It's about a 5th of the total that I'd like to lose so I thought I might actually feel a difference in at least some of my tight trousers but I don't.
My due my 4th dose tonight so I'm going to retake my measurements next week and see if there's a difference there.
Although it doesn't sound like it, I am pleased with that, it's going in the right direction and apart from a bit of constipation no other symptoms.

I had two glasses of red wine yesterday (birthday treat supposedly) and it made me sick. TMI I brought up undigested food from the day before which shocked me. I know your gastric tract slows down but this much? I’m not drinking wine again, I haven’t vomited on alcohol since my teens 😱 I still feel really nauseous today but it’s only early. I read elsewhere that anti nausea medication is sometimes prescribed alongside Wegovy. Does anyone know if this is something to consider? I’m only 2 jabs in, 3rd due Saturday.

Astravanga · 01/07/2026 07:30

That's a great result @blibblibs no reason not to believe it!

I’m also having terrible nausea and wondering if it’s worth it.

Welcome to the group @Teaxberspet ! Dont be nervous, most of us have had very minimal or no symptoms so far.

Lost 1lb this week, so 12lb in 3 weeks which I am very pleased with. Did my last 0.25 last night and will start 0.5 next week. Hoping to get more suppression and feelings of fullness, as although the food noise has gone I am not getting much of the other reported benefits.

TerrorAustralis · 01/07/2026 11:13

Second jab this morning and first weekly weigh in. I’m down 1.7kg (about 3.7lb) and lost 3cm off my waist. I’m happy with that, but it could have been a bit more if I’d been stricter with what I ate (and drank). I like round numbers, so would have liked a nice even 2kg!

Are you taking any body measurements? That might help you to believe the scales!

blibblibs · 01/07/2026 17:50

@TerrorAustralis I took full body measurements before my first dose and was planning on doing them monthly so I'll take them all again next week.
I was just hoping the tight clothes wouldn't be so tight!
I'm off on holiday in 5 weeks so hopefully I'll notice a difference by then and save some money by not having to get new stuff.

Choice4567 · 01/07/2026 20:41

3rd jab tonight. I’m getting more squeamish with the needles! I hate doing it and it makes me feel weird! I take it out the fridge half an hour before but it stings for about half an hour afterwards! I was going to change sites to my arm but I got really squeamish and could only do it in my stomach

On a different note, does anyone know how to order the next pen from Boots? I can only see how to go through a new consult

blibblibs · 01/07/2026 20:52

@Choice4567 I'm with Boots and did my 3rd jab last Wednesday and they sent me a msg at the weekend saying I was due my next pen soon and did I want the same or to go up a dose. I opted for the same and then got a msg on Monday saying it was ready to collect.
It's a busy week for me so I'm going to collect it on Saturday.
The money came out of my account almost immediately after I said I was staying at the same dose. It was all very easy.

Thanks, I was hoping that would be the case. I shall wait until the weekend and hope I get a message

I’m undecided about whether to go up or not. The appetite suppression is good, but now only lasting 5 days instead of 7

blibblibs · 01/07/2026 22:06

I'm the same really, jab on a Wednesday night and I'm definitely hungrier on Tues/Wed and I noticed the first few times that some mindless eating was happening but I've been a bit stricter with myself on these days this week and had a drink rather than food and it seems to work and is manageable.
It's a very personal thing though and I did take a good few days to make up my mind on what I was going to do and then quickly pressed the button so I couldn't change it 😁

I got numbing cream from the chemist. You put it on an hour before you do the jab and you won’t feel a thing and you won’t get that sting afterwards. After I had used it a couple of times I managed to keep going without the cream. Now I swab the injection site with an alcohol swab before I inject and then I press the swab against the site afterwards to feel the cooling effect.

Hi all, sounds like generally most are doing well and seeing consistent losses which is what we all want! Two questions for me to ask today; (i think first one may have been raised before) but I'm sure injections are more effective in my left leg than my right! I aim generally around mid thigh and alternate. This is the second time on right - the first time I spent most of the week thinking i had missed or injected wrong because couldn't feel much at all. Same this week with right leg even though first dose with 0.5. Anyone else notice a big difference between injection sites?
The other question is; since starting WLIs I'm sure my mouth is tasting different with often quite a bitter after taste in my mouth and I also fear it's making my breath worse. Anyone else notice similar??

I sent them a message asking. They said if you're staying on the same dose just send a message, if you want to increase you need to do a consultation.

Choice4567 · 02/07/2026 14:57

Thanks Freida, I’ll message tomorrow

Astravanga · 02/07/2026 17:24

Hi @pickle75 I can't say I've noticed a difference in effects on different injection sites but I've just done different areas of my stomach so far! The right side has stung a bit but the left side I don't feel it at all.

I've just submitted my update to Bolt to go up to 0.5mg next week. We'll see how I do on a higher dose - don't feel I've lost much this week but feel much more well generally and no cravings for anything.

JoyousAsOtters · 03/07/2026 08:52

Hi @pickle75 I too suffer from Grim Taste in mouth. I know exactly what you mean about worrying about death breath, I find peppermint oil capsules help. I think it’s worse the day or two after injecting but then improves through the week. So far - I just did my 4th injection last night and Grim was back this morning.
Ive lost another kg this week though so I can live with it!

Astravanga · 03/07/2026 09:13

Death breath, I love it! 😂

I stepped on the scales this morning and haven't lost anything yet this week. Disappointing but I have to be realistic that as there's been travelling, unexpected waits and time away from home, my eating hasn't been as healthy as usual. Once again reminding all the naysayers that this isn't a magic medication that makes fat disappear against the laws of physics ..

LoSlo3toGo · 03/07/2026 11:08

Well, I’m on my last day of a holiday week of scones/ice cream/chips washed down with white wine spritzers … admittedly quantities slightly less than my old self but healthy living this is not (we have had some meals at our cottage to balance it out)

I don’t think I’ll be stepping on the scales for a week or two when I get back but hoping to balance it out over the coming weeks

I have been wondering how you got on with your hols. I always put on around 10lbs in a week away as I just go overboard. My brain just switches to non diet mode and i got mental!

I initially thought I'd just miss a dose when we go away in August but now I am thinking I'll stick at it, were driving to france so can take with me, am I right in thinking I dont need to refrigerate it for the journey? If I can limit weight gain to less than 7lbs while still enjoying the odd treat I would be over the moon!

If you’re driving, can you put it in a cool bag (one of those insulated lunch bag type of things) with an ice brick?

I’m going on holidays next week and planning on taking mine with me. I don’t want to skip a dose. Not planning on limiting myself, but I know quantities will be much smaller. We are going back to where we lived abroad for years, so I don’t want to skip all the good food I have missed!

Nofeckingway · 03/07/2026 11:31

Finally I am starting to feel this might actually be working for me . Now experiencing the appetite suppression and no cravings . Still have the odd ice cream in this weather . Now I have to source another supplier as where I am the cost is quite high .

I could try that but we sail at 8pm and wont get to destination until about 3pm the following afternoon so not sure how long it would last?!

I jab on Tuesdays though and we are going Tuesday to following Thursday so I could probably not take it and jab when I get back. I'll see how long the effects last when I go up to 0.5 next week.

LoSlo3toGo · 03/07/2026 12:19

@sanch- mine was open so didn’t need refrigeration but I still took it in a cool bag with an ice pack (as we drove here)

I think it has helped to stay on it tbh and as it builds up over the weeks then makes sense to keep the levels in my blood stable i think
