My first jabs arrived today. Thinking of starting Wednesday which is technically end of April but wanted to start a new group for anyone starting soon!

Nervous but kind of excited for good results. Watched a YouTube video instruction for the pen before, I might get my husband to do it for me!!

Anyone want to join me and share / support each other??

FFS! It will be 4 days by the time I pick it up!

It can be stored up to 30 degrees, no chance it will have gone above that

I’d call it when you get the package. If the cool packs are still frozen I think it’s okay, if they aren’t I’d not worry as it can be kept out of the fridge for 30 days

Tulipwood · 06/06/2026 21:38

I did my golden dose today and I guess the syringe needle blunts a bit after going into the pen because it was not easy breaking my skin with it. Luckily two gestational diabetes pregnancies the last one requiring insulin stood me in good stead for being brave injecting myself because it was stingy

NettleTea · 06/06/2026 21:40

Ive bought the needles you can attach to the pen. well I say bought them, my daughter had a big box of them from her insulin needles from when she had diabetes for a bit. (cystic fibrosis, so now she has started Kaftrio she doesnt have it any more)

TeamsThemeTune · 06/06/2026 22:42

Today's NSV (non-scale victory) - I had to go up a notch on my belt to keep my trousers up!

I've just come home from a family party - I managed to get away with eating a big bowl of salad that I picked at for an hour or so, and avoided the rest of the buffet, which looked fantastic but I just wasn't interested in.

Unfortunately I drank maybe 3/4 of a bottle of red wine (over 6 hours, so not exactly caning it), but I have a feeling I'm going to feel horrendous tomorrow.

Pray for my insides.

NettleTea · 07/06/2026 10:15

todays weigh in and a loss of 0.8 kg / 1 3/4 lbs
so a total loss of 7.7 kg / 1 stone 3lbs and todays weigh in was week 7 jab
plus I have lost 4.5 inches from my waist since May 17th and an inch off my right thigh which is my worst lymphodema leg.
Edited

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 07/06/2026 10:41

Amazing @NettleTea that is sound progress 👏

TeamsThemeTune · 07/06/2026 20:28

@NettleTea excellent results! I wish I had done measurements - not that I would have been able to find my waist. Equator would probably be more appropriate!

Rockgrin · 07/06/2026 22:01

Fantastic progress @NettleTea! I wish I thought to do my measurements.

I've just weighed in at 17 stone 5.5 pounds. So that is 15.5 gone now.

I usually jab and weigh in the morning but had to postpone it until this evening. That's the 4th and last dose of 2.5 done, going up to the scary 5 next Sunday!

suneetime · 08/06/2026 06:30

Excellent results @NettleTea

Another 1lb off for me yesterday which I’m relatively happy with, especially as I have my period. I’d love bigger and quicker losses but I have a couple of events towards the end of the year so have reminded myself that if I keep going like this that’ll be another 2 stone off by then. And I’ll look and feel a lot better in whatever new outfits I treat myself to!

UntilTheVeryEnd · 08/06/2026 08:24

Well done everyone! It’s great to see everyone doing well.
another 2lb down for me this week… I took a dose of 3.75mg this morning as I was too scared to jump up to the 5mg straight away. Hopefully I’ll get a bit more suppression and not too many side effects. In other news, I’ve got this red welt/ raised bumps (in a triangle type shape the size of 2x 50ps) on the leg I usually inject on. It came up yesterday, not directly following and injection so I’m not sure why it’s happening. Anyone got welts at their injection sites? I swapped legs today for my injection. I’ve made an ANP this afternoon to get it checked (I’m a worrier)
a quick google says it’s a relatively common side effect but I think it’s weird that it’s come up after 5 jabs rather than straight away.
Anyhoo, keep up the great work folks…

mollio · 08/06/2026 08:47

Well done everyone ! Great to see the scales go steadily down .
I have gone done a pound and then back up the same pound this week , but its ok. I think it’s probably due to having a few drinks this weekend and takeaways as i was out .I kind of expected it … I did 3.75 last Wednesday and had huge suppression up until Saturday evening , so now I’m wondering if I should stay at 3.75 or go up to 5 … I was going to try to wait until Thursday to jab as I am away on holidays from Friday for a week and don’t want to bring my pen with me .
am not being very good with water unless I am exercising ( I play tennis and padel and always drink loads when actually playing but otherwise I am very bad ) . That is probably why I have stalled a bit ….
Good luck to everyone this week x

I have only had a bruise once on my stomach when I used an insulin needle to get the golden dose , so not sure about the welts … would you try your stomach instead ?

Boreded · 08/06/2026 09:17

I get a bruise every single time. They take weeks to disappear too. I have 3 at the moment, due to jab tomorrow so I think I’ll end up with 4 at once if the current rate is anything to go by

I had this on my 5th jab. Nothing before hand. Was just a bruise and red raised lump which was really itchy. Went after a few days. It’s really common

Thank you for sharing that… that makes me feel a bit better. It’s very strange why it just appeared after 5th jab and never before. Hopefully it goes away soon 🥴

Apparently it’s a histamine response. Probably our bodies realising the mounjaro is a foreign object and trying to get rid!

Sleep… how’s it going, folks? I jabbed on Saturday night. Last night I could not sleep. Am like a zombie today. And I’m still only on the 2.5. I don’t think I dare go up. My system feels nutty!

I started struggling to sleep after week 2.

I started taking some magnesium bisglycinate supplements from holland and barrett at night that seem to have really helped.

My sleep has been so bad the first few days post jab, but this time my exhaustion is bad instead. I was fast asleep at 7pm last night

I've been fine until last night. Terrible restless legs, which I suffer with anyway but usually my magnesium tablet sorts that out. Plus the amount of water I'm drinking has me up at least once in the night. I too was on zombie duty today.

Was also feeling really sick and full today. Couldn't eat breakfast and just made do with a coffee, and had soup for lunch. Felt a bit better after a big poo (sorry) when I got home from work. I think I'm still a bit bunged up so will have a couple of kiwis later.

On the plus side, had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for dinner - I could get used to that. Takes 5 minutes and is delicious.

Need to make a decision about the next pen some time this week - I think I'm going to stick with 2.5, and if it wears off I'll just have to employ some willpower, which is no bad thing I suppose. I do get a bit OTT about tracking calories and am finding myself feeling inordinately pleased when I'm under. But I don't want to tip over into something I can't get out of, if that makes sense.

I very much relate to what you said about calorie counting. Historically I have had a tendency to become a bit obsessed and very regimented, and it can take me a long time to feel comfortable with eating “normally”/not counting every little thing. Am hoping to focus more on exercise moving forward so the calories counting is less vital.

It's hard to find a middle ground isn't it, but that's what I'm aiming for. I'm hoping as I've recognised it, I know it's not a good thing (and has never worked long-term), my stupid brain will not freak out if I go over by a couple of hundred calories here or there, will not think I'm a very clever bunny if I am under, and will find some equilibrium.

The sad reality is that I am a menopausal woman and cannot eat everything I want, so the sooner brain realises that I do not need to snarf crisps or toast half an hour after dinner to survive, the better.

AsACloud · 08/06/2026 21:56

Hi all. Looking for some advice please. I am on my first pen so 2.5 and will take my 4th injection on Wednesday so I need to decide whether to go up to 5. I’ve lost just under 6 lbs, that’s todays weight so not expecting much of a further drop on Thursday which is my weekly weigh in. I had zero side effects until this last week where I’ve been getting regular and bad headaches. Managed by ibuprofen and paracetamol combination but still unpleasant and I’m drinking plenty and not under eating so can’t seem to avoid them.

I need to do my next consult with the provider and I expect they’ll tell me to move to 5? I have 2 stone to lose and I’m paying privately for this. I’m a bit nervous to move up and would gladly stay on 2.5 if I could continue to lose. I like the idea of doing the 3.75 that I’ve read several people here do but feel like a newbie to this and don’t want to mess up! It also looks like my pen has the leftover dose in it so guess I should use that but how do I know if there’s more than one dose? I don’t fancy getting a needle to draw it out and inject myself.

NettleTea · 08/06/2026 22:11

Im trying to stick to the same thing for breakfast, and be able to accurately judge the amounts so I dont start eating too much. If I have that, and a salad with some kind of protein for lunch, then my calories seem to be in rtange to eat most of the gousto meals I order to make life easier for us (ADHD family who cant food plan for toffee)
