My first jabs arrived today. Thinking of starting Wednesday which is technically end of April but wanted to start a new group for anyone starting soon!

Nervous but kind of excited for good results. Watched a YouTube video instruction for the pen before, I might get my husband to do it for me!!

Anyone want to join me and share / support each other??

4th jab today and its been a good day. I've lost 3-4kg (depending when I weigh) so on a whim I tried some old blouses and to my amazement, they fitted! I started at 110kg, BMI 39 so have a huge amount to lose to even get within a healthy BMI. I can't see a difference in myself yet, but clearly going the right way.

Amazing that you’re already seeing the difference. I’m down 20lbs and you can’t tell at all…I can’t wait to see it

my suspicion is that its the oestrogen thats stored in fat releasing.

Well I hope they don’t become regular…they weren’t regular when I was thin (all those years ago) so I don’t need them back now

KittensAndCupcakes · 06/06/2026 09:19

Woo hoo. Lost another kg even though stayed on 2.5 for this month. I did have to concentrate this week on avoiding eating even when I might otherwise have done so, but it didn’t feel the struggle it would have done pre MJ. So total loss now 3.2kg since starting on 2nd May May. Gosh, just worked out that’s only 5 weeks. Feeling pleased right now. Maybe 2.5 is enough.

3oldladiesstuckinalavatory · 06/06/2026 10:58

I'm a random weigher, just hopping on when I feel a bit thinner 😆

So far I've lost nearly 3kg in just under two weeks, mostly bloat, but it's the same pressure off my knees, so any loss is a good loss for me.

SW: 94.3 KG
CW: 91.5 KG

I feel much better in myself generally, less self loathing for overeating.

Supression is good for the first few days, then tails off - as would be expected.

I'm struggling with protein and I'm probably not getting enough, so eating Skyr and having a protein shake with milk every day.

All good. Just wish I started 9 months ago when I first decided to go for it. I found it hard to get a prescription at first, due to a history of ED, which really put me off. Eventually talked to my own local pharmacy that had a good chat with me and were very happy to prescribe, albit at a shockingly high price point. Shopped around, got a cheap deal, but the pen arrived with smashed up packaging, so I was too scared to take it. It sat in my fridge for a whole month! Eventually grabbed, jabbed and here I am.

Better late than never...

I really want to say thank you to all the people posting on all these WLI threads. It's been so helpful and so encouraging to see how everyone else is doing. Well done team May Starters 😚

Good job.

im the opposite to you, im a multiple times a day weigher. Cant help myself

Boreded · 06/06/2026 11:43

So I did my full calendar month weigh in the morning…21.2lbs off - and I should be ecstatic except my before and after pictures have barely no change, but a family member who started around the same time as me looks like they’ve lost soo much more from a similar start point. I would like to start seeing a change in the body not just on the scale.

Anyway:

SW - 270lbs
CW - 248.8
GW 1 - 168
GW 2 - 137
BMI down to 40.2 (getting close to being out of that bloody class 3)

NettleTea · 06/06/2026 11:44

Ive just had my Bolt review and they recommended an increase to 5mg, which Im not actually going to take - Im going to see how the loss has been this week and potentially just carry on at 2.5 to save money. I was fortunate that someone used my referral so thats going to help with the price jump and Im still on the subscription so thats another £20 off, but after this pen is ordered I will suspend Bolt and take up someones referral to Numan for my next pen. I need to keep it economical as possible and Im happy with slow losses, as want to ensure my skin keeps up with it. Im here for the anti inflammatory effects and Im treading water in the hope that lymphodema gets listed as a condition for treatment.
Having seen the pressure from lobby groups for funding for drugs, (I have a child with a lifelong genetic condition) Im aware that the cancer lobby are VERY powerful, and if they spot that GLP-1 is going to treat lymphodema which often causes more trouble than the treatable cancers did for their patients, then there is some hope. Just so long as primary lymphodema dont get cut out of the loop.

Its currently in phase 3 human trials in the US, so Im really keeping my fingers crossed that by the time I get to my target weight, a miracle of funding will be open to me. we all have to have a dream, eh.

Either that or I become a very successful artist... or get that novel finished and a Netflix deal...

Hi everyone, I too will be a random poster. Well done to everyone for sticking with it and amazing losses. Very few symptoms on 2.5 but also noticed myself hunting in cupboards by the end of the week and weight loss has stalled somewhat, so I decided to up the dose to a 5 pen for my 5th jab.
Did my jab yesterday; 45 clicks of the 5 pen which equates to 3.75mg (bit nervous of jumping straight to 5). No side effects yesterday and ate as I have been but had a mini Crosta and mollica pizetta for dinner and went to bed with stomach ache. I have woken this morning to eggy burps (🤮), heartburn and no desire to eat. I’ve only told my immediate family I’m doing the jabs and I’m out tonight with old friends. God knows what I’m going to eat as it’s a set menu and very few options.

Ive lost 4 1/2 inches off my waist since 17th May.

I mean Im coming from an embarrasingly low base, but thats incredible.

7238SM · 06/06/2026 14:29

@NettleTea What questions did Bolt ask for you to go to 5mg? Someone else on here said they refused to allow them to go up and told them to stay on 2.5mg. I'm wondering if its based on weight loss, food suppressions, side effects etc?

I missed my delivery today and yesterday and now can't pick it up from the post office until Monday - will it be ok?

Will be surviving on pure willpower until then!

Yet they just asked me what dose I wanted next. I wonder why we're all being told different things by bolt......

that was probably me. I log my weight with them weekly and as they asked the info only a couple of weeks in, I was still losing weight and had good appetite suppression. They will now have seen I had 3 weeks where the weight stayed the same and I over egged the suppression as want to get the 5mg even if I wont use that much.
In some ways Im pleased because it does demonstrate that someone is actually looking at your figures, rather than going for the money, as obv 5mg is more expensive.

NettleTea · 06/06/2026 15:45

previously they had asked me what I wanted and I had said 5mg. But then the pharmacist had got in touch and said that she would prefer I stayed on 2.5 for another month. So this time it said they recommended 5mg so I went with that, and am hoping it just goes through.

I think you need to check with your provider. I was worried in case I missed the delivery during the heat wave. They said the cool packaging lasts 48 hours. Hope it is all ok and hang in with the willpower - you can do it 💪

Oooh that weight is coming down nicely.

you don’t have to tell your friends, sometimes they’re supportive, sometimes they just want to give opinions on the jabs themselves.

mostly I find people just don’t seem to understand that the jabs don’t make you lose weight, you lose the weight yourself by eating healthily and making good choices…the jabs just make those good choices easier. I’m eating exactly the same as I used to when I dieted without jabs, the difference now is I’m not hungry and so I don’t have the constant daily fight with my body.

I feel like some people don’t want fat people to succeed, like we deserve to stay fat because we got fat in the first place. It is bizarre!

happy to live vicariously through posters here though

You can do it. Early night if you start to struggle.

Also, those wafer thin chicken slices can work as a quick boost instead of a bad snack, almost no calories but plenty of protein in them. I had a couple this morning when I woke up feeling light headed and it sorted it out, 2 slices for 24 calories and 4.4g protein 👍

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 06/06/2026 17:22

Ive had my first real gastro effects today (2nd week). Started last night, bloating, sulphur burps and diarrhoea. Nice. Im feeling nausea as opposed to suppression and that is what is putting me off eating. Hoping to reach the no side effects and not feeling hungry phase soon

FFS! It will be 4 days by the time I pick it up!

Email your provider asap explaining the issue. Why did parcel company not just leave on doorstep? Ask provider to send a fresh pen. Show them photo evidence of missed deliveries. Or maybe it is ok to be 4 days and my provider were just being over cautious.
