madeinthe80z · 25/04/2026 22:11

My first jabs arrived today. Thinking of starting Wednesday which is technically end of April but wanted to start a new group for anyone starting soon!

Nervous but kind of excited for good results. Watched a YouTube video instruction for the pen before, I might get my husband to do it for me!!

Anyone want to join me and share / support each other??

Why are mounjaro periods annoying? Im due mine in a couple of days!

Well mine was annoying because I don’t get periods! And there was a PP who hadn’t had a period for 18m and she got one in the first few weeks of MJ. I think regular periods are fine, don’t worry!

Yeah, that was me…annoying because I got one again. But I’m sure I’ll be lucky and it’ll give me another 12 months without one, it’s standard for me now

@TeamsThemeTune @QueenStevie Had you injected the MJ into your arm?

I did my lower stomach. That's why it was so weird. If I'd injected there, I would have just put it down to that.

I'm not sure yet as it has only happened once (started period shortly after first injection) but it seemed to make mine lighter than usual.

Mine are usually horrendous and require adult incontinence pads to stem the flooding (PCOS, endo, weird bicornulate uterus). But this time I actually had to go out and buy some 'normal' sanitary pads because it was so much lighter!

It might not happen next time (but if it does I'll stay on mounjaro for life!).

This sounds like mine, fortunately they rarely happen though, I can’t imagine it being a monthly thing and being that bad…I hope this does change for you and makes it slower.

Weigh in after first week: 4lbs off.

I ordered 5mg for my second pen... but am starting to worry that maybe I was too hasty.

Haven't had any bad side effects (apart from having a harder time doing cardio as my heartrate is up) but felt by the second week of mounjaro that the suppression was really waning and cravings were coming back. So when it came time to order I went up.

I'm four days into my third dose of 2.5 and it hit me like a train this week! Barely had any appetite at all and quite a lot of burping/heartburn/headaches. I have my fourth and final 2.5 coming up on Saturday night (moved the injection timing a little from Sunday morning).

Thinking about click counting to 3.75 to see how it goes.

I lost 12 lbs in the first week and 1.5 lbs in the second week.

12lbs in the first week!! Well done. What was your starting BMI?

TeamsThemeTune · 05/06/2026 11:05

Good result @PuppyKeep

Jab 4 today
Another 1.3kg / 2.8lbs off
Total loss 4.05kg / 8.9lbs (I'm rounding it up to 9) in 3 weeks, so I'm happy with that.

CW 75kg / 11st 11lbs. I'm in the elevens!

Tulipwood · 05/06/2026 11:13

Weigh day for me too and 1.6lbs off. Jab day for me tomorrow and my insulin needles arrived for my GD.

Well done everyone on your great losses 👏

Awesome - congrats on the 11s

you're having some nice steady losses there

I need to get my weigh in day synced to you guys…I feel left out being a Wednesday weigher.

I’ll be doing an unofficial weigh in tomorrow as it is a full calendar month then, and really want to hit the 20. I got to 19.8 this morning after getting through a mini plateau.

I was 18 stone 7 pounds (bmi 40.7) so have a lot to lose! I think most of that 12 pounds was inflammation though.

Thank you, they are awful aren't they! I did see a gp but the answer was 'lose weight' and take iron supplements (probably right to be fair).

madeinthe80z · 05/06/2026 13:19

Just -1lb for me this week and it’s been feeling like a slog but happy to see the scales moving in the right direction again! 11.5lb in under 6 week so need to keep reminding myself of the overall picture!

happy Friday everyone!

Well done for all you who have lost weight. Weigh in day tomorrow for me. Hoping for some lost as been very modest in my eating this week. That said, I am still only on the 2.5 (and still a bit harrumphy about being a scaredy cat and not asking for the 5). I don’t feel like I have lost anything and I am normally pretty accurate with my guesses. That said, I have been doing strength training and eating 80-110g of protein per day so I’m giving myself a cheer for that anyway (and maybe if the scales aren’t lower, it’s because I have more muscle… here’s hoping anyway!)

Im a Wednesday weigher @Boreded 😊

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 05/06/2026 15:13

Im in late peri so my periods are already irregular and given I also have endo, they can be heavy. I have had two surgeries to remove the endo and more recently had the coil but am currently doing nothing hormone wise. Ill be interested to see how this period goes for sure!

7238SM · 05/06/2026 16:43

4th jab today and its been a good day. I've lost 3-4kg (depending when I weigh) so on a whim I tried some old blouses and to my amazement, they fitted! I started at 110kg, BMI 39 so have a huge amount to lose to even get within a healthy BMI. I can't see a difference in myself yet, but clearly going the right way.

my suspicion is that its the oestrogen thats stored in fat releasing.

NettleTea · 05/06/2026 17:53

My weigh in is Sunday mornings, same as jab day, so Im completely out of synch with everyone else.
I have a cold coming. made myself some echinacea tincture but have had to log the doses as vodka.

suneetime · 05/06/2026 18:11

I’m a Sunday weigher too @NettleTea . Although I do weigh a couple of times in the week as well but I log it on a Sunday. Also do weekly measurements of waist, hips and upper arm. They’re reducing very very very slowly! I have noticed my skin looking better and ever so slightly less wrinkly though. I don’t think I’ve ever drunk so much water.

Same here @NettleTea, weigh in and jab on Sunday morning.

I was considering changing it but am going to keep it as is for now.

Tulipwood · 05/06/2026 21:18

A NSV for me today, I’ve knocked 1 minute off my 1k pace running pace since starting MJ.
