My first jabs arrived today. Thinking of starting Wednesday which is technically end of April but wanted to start a new group for anyone starting soon!

Nervous but kind of excited for good results. Watched a YouTube video instruction for the pen before, I might get my husband to do it for me!!

Anyone want to join me and share / support each other??

I'm glad that your FINALLY got our meds! Didn't you order it last weekend? Was it delivered by a snail? 😆
I'm sure you took it fine.

Took soooooo long didn’t it, Asda!

Ordered my second pen this morning with a different supplier as chasing the discounts. It took 45 mins from filling out the forms to everything being approved!

I was a bit put off using a new supplier incase there was loads of faff but you could use photos taken within the last 30 days and I already had an id picture.

Just thought I’d mention as other people are debating it

How much £ did you save?

It would have been £40 more expensive if I ordered a pen with the old supplier at full price

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 28/05/2026 20:23

I took a half dose because I have a chronic fatigue diagnosis and can react to Meds (even supplements) quite strongly. I have had SE even on 1.25 albeit mild so far. Mild gastric, that hot, tingly skin you get when you're feeling fluey, and a headache thankfully solved by paracetamol.

Wow!
who’s the old and new suppliers?

If they are niche/less mainstream, are you worried if the new supplier goes out of business before you reach your goal weight?

Sorry to hear about your struggles. How many doses have you taken so far?

My first pen was from Farmeci and my second from Lotus. I’m not particularly worried as I plan to move suppliers each month to chase discounts

Ismo456 · 28/05/2026 21:22

I’ve just done my 2nd jab - 10 days after the first because I had THE worst week first time round and felt so poorly I didn’t have the courage to do it again at the one week mark.

done it in my thigh this time instead of stomach after reading that it can make a difference side effect wise.

feeling nervous about possibly getting a week of constant nausea again! Hoping it’s kinder to me this time!

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 28/05/2026 21:26

@PuppyKeep ahhh sorry. SE = side effects

I did my first jab yesterday morning.

What happens when you dip below BMI threshold?

this is fascinating! I would have thought the opposite.

i injected 15cm from my belly button as suggested in the leaflet

You’re just a few hours ahead of me. I’ll be watching closely. I have an autoimmune disease and auDHD so I’m prone to fatigue.

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 28/05/2026 21:57

Ah bless you @PuppyKeep. Ill keep you posted.

My dd who is awaiting assessment for the auDHD would strongly approve of your username by the way 😊

I'm apologising in advance, because I am going to ask this question of everyone - did either of those suppliers allow you to choose a delivery date?

No they haven’t

It’s a long way off so I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it 😅

Hello all. I admit I’m a basic bitch here on Mumsnet, but how do you do the thing where your post captures a previous post within it in a grey box? It’s really helpful for knowing who’s responding to which comment, but I can’t figure out how to do it…

TeamsThemeTune · 29/05/2026 09:57

3rd jab due today
SW 79.05kg / 12st 6lbs
W1 -1.8kg / 3.9lbs
W2 -0.95kg / 2lbs
Total loss 2.75kg / 6lbs

I have to confess I was initially a little bit disappointed when I stepped on the scales this morning, but on reflection I think that's a pretty good overall result.

Just click on "quote" in the bottom left under the post you want to respond to (if you're on the website). If you're on the app, click the 3 dots at the top right of the post and then "quote"

Day 16 for me

I lost 2.6lbs this week, 5.6lb total. I'm a restarter, that's the most I have ever lost in a week.

Tracking calories, having protein every meal, 16.8 and aiming for around 1000 cals a day.

PuppyKeep · 29/05/2026 12:33

I took my first jab at 7pm last night. I don't feel much different aside from minor cramping and an undercurrent of nausea - is this normal for this timeframe?

6lbs in 3 weeks sounds healthy

I think it usually reaches peak concentration in your blood 24-48 hours after you take it. Experiencing nausea is normal (for some people, some have no side effects at all) as the level is rising.

Thank you. It's tolerable.

Does it calm down for most people?
