My first jabs arrived today. Thinking of starting Wednesday which is technically end of April but wanted to start a new group for anyone starting soon!

Nervous but kind of excited for good results. Watched a YouTube video instruction for the pen before, I might get my husband to do it for me!!

Anyone want to join me and share / support each other??

I’ve not had them yet, they’re on their way but I’ll let you know as soon as they come. My sister recommended them to me and she said the texture is like squash though.

ill let you know as soon as they arrive

@TeamsThemeTune does anyone have any recommendations for pharmacies which allow you to choose the delivery date, and that date is accurate?

I've only ordered once so far and from swift doctor. It says if you contact them, you can have a specific delivery day. I already posted up thread, including a pic of the box, but it was a cardboard box smaller than a shoe box, had my name and the sent from as 'swift Doctor, Yorkshire' on the label, but no refrigerate/medication label etc. It just looked similar to an amazon box.

I ordered/loaded a video on day 1 and it was delivered at 8:30am the next morning! The driver rung my bell and left it at the front door! It was well packaged with a cooler block and woollen insulation inside.

First time orders, if you use code MONJ, you get 10% off. Hopefully that helps you or someone else 😊

I'm starting to wonder about the next pen too.

I've had great suppression on this first/second jab, but am starting to get a little nervous after reading quite a few accounts where it nearly disappears on week 5! It's been so freeing not having to count calories or worry about food all day, I had no idea how much mental energy it was draining out of me. I am scared to lose that now!

I think I might order the 5 and try the 3.75 as others have said. Then if it turns out that is too much I could just take the loss and do half clicks until the next pen. And if it is not enough I can use the full five.

I'm still in two minds though because 2.5 is working well and I've had no negative side effects (bar some extra burping a day ir two after the injection).

Argh! Think I'll wait until week 3/4 to make a final decision, Asda was pretty quick with the delivery.

I’m on my 3rd jab from my first pen and thinking about my next order. I got a good discount from Medexpress (£133) but it would be £180 for the next one. Looking at the monj price comparison site, I can get it for much less. When switching, do you have to go through the whole process again, uploading photos etc? It’s tempting to just order another Medexpress pen but I could do with saving some money on it!

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 28/05/2026 11:02

@MJNewbie2026 I find prawns are much lighter to stomach than say chicken but they are protein heavyweights. Not quite chicken levels but not far off if you can bear to have them with some lettuce and cucumber?

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 28/05/2026 11:05

It's a really weird sensation feeling hungry but not wanting anything much. Last night I woke up and my skin was sensitive and hot on the side I was lying on. Nothing major at all and I definitely have a vague headache so sticking to the water for that. But I'm over 24 hours in and I'm ok so far (touches wood). I'm glad I took the 1.25 to begin with.

@Greenfingers37 yep you do have to do the photos again but it literally took minutes when I switched for my second pen. I had to take a photo of my driving license, current box of medication showing the prescription label, a front on pic and a side in pic. I had to fill out the medical questionnaire etc but like I said it was so quick and saves so much money! Lotus for example is like £104 for a 2.5 pen with their new member £50 off code that they apply automatically at checkout

In regard changing doses, Bolt didnt let me choose to go up a dose - I had requested it but as I was still losing weight on the 2.5 it recommended staying on that. I had been hoping to eek the pen out. I did get the golden dose out so Im a shot in hand before I start the next pen, and as someone was kindly going to use my referral code, that does mean I will stay with them next time, but that may depend on if I am allowed a step up, as want to make the journey as economical as possible as because Im looking for anti inflammatory help I will be moving onto small regular doses longterm. I suspect my fridge m,ay start to look like a pharmacy with stockpiling, if all goes well. Im interested too in the monj site showing places that are able to prescribe for maintanance as this is going to be essential for me.

Kitten234 · 28/05/2026 11:29

Hey all. Hope it’s going well for everyone.

Im hungry again today even after having a big breakfast so have decided to up my dose for my next pen.

Has anyone ordered recently and has a good discount ? Hoping to get a 5mg pen for the cheapest price possible . Thanks in advance

Thank you! I thought that might be the case but it’s worth the hassle for the saving!! I do think I’ve chucked the box with the prescription details on though! Bugger!!!!!

Apparently my first pen is arriving this evening - finally!

kitten, how long have you been taking your current dose?

4 weeks. A bit gutted about going up . All was going well until about 3 days ago. Hungry again and food noise is back. Only took my jab on Sunday and this started Tuesday . I think I’m going to order a 5 pen but only take 3.75 to begin with then move up to 5 if I need it.

Tulipwood · 28/05/2026 12:28

Ordered my second pen this morning with a different supplier as chasing the discounts. It took 45 mins from filling out the forms to everything being approved!

I was a bit put off using a new supplier incase there was loads of faff but you could use photos taken within the last 30 days and I already had an id picture.

Just thought I’d mention as other people are debating it

ShakySwan · 28/05/2026 12:31

Ugh. I feel your pain. I ordered another 2.5 as it’s been working and I’ve had loads of side effects. But this week it’s not really worked at all! I’ve not lost any weight and food noise is back. I haven’t really over eaten - 1300-1500 calories a day. But not lost anything so far this week!

MrsBuntyS · 28/05/2026 13:11

I due shot 3 today but waiting until later as I have the dentist in a bit. I have just ordered my second pen and I am sticking with 2.5mg for now as I have had terrible heartburn and reflux and I am hoping it will settle further. I am terrified of gallstones as while I’ve not been diagnosed with them, I think I am prone to them. I lost a lot of weight very quickly 10 years ago and I think it left me with issues. I am still getting fairly ok supression but not losing loads. Only just under 2lb this week and that was on around 900 cals a day. I will def move up to 5 in month 3 if I don’t lose any more. I think drinking alcohol during the BH weekend set me back. I am thinking of going completely teetotal for a while and seeing if that makes the difference. Good luck all!

You may have got emailed a prescription when you got your first pen? You can attach this too.

with regards to weight loss this week, don’t be too disheartened as I think in this weather it is common to keep hold of water weight because of the extreme heat. I’m hoping to have a bit of a ‘whoosh’ next week as this week I’ve maintained.

I had a phone call with my prescriber (Well Pharmacy) yesterday and told them I’d like the 2.5 pen again. I lost about 2kg which felt fine with me and would be happy if same happened this month. Next time I’m going to ask them about counting the clicks to move up more slowly. Would mean getting 5 lots from one pen so also good for that reason.

It should all be on your pen. There's a sticker on mine with the prescription details

I’ve just looked and it isn’t-😭-only the lot number and expiry date! You live and learn!

I took my first Mounjaro dose today. The instructions were longer and more convoluted than I anticipated. I hope I took it correctly.

Any reassurance folks?

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 28/05/2026 19:39

I found it intimidating as well @PuppyKeep even though I had watched two videos and read the instruction leaflet. I also only took a half dose so I had to count the clicks rather than just turn the dial to 1.

Are you worried about anything specifically?

I'm glad that your FINALLY got our meds! Didn't you order it last weekend? Was it delivered by a snail? 😆
I'm sure you took it fine.

Thanks for the solidarity

Why did you take half a dose?
