Feel like the old thread has been quiet recently so let’s kick off by sharing our NSVs…

Mine is finally retiring a pair of jeans that looked comically big on me. They were too tight to wear at the start of MJ. And also my youngest asked me why my top was ‘hanging’ the other day which made me laugh and think I really do need to get shopping.

I’ve just ordered another pen, this one will definitely be my last as I’ve had to put it on the credit card which I really don’t want to start doing. But feel more confident in my ability to maintain now I know I’ve got a pen to help iterate down for longer. Aiming to lose 2 more pounds before I start to then take smaller doses, however I have a holiday to get through first so don’t want to decrease my dose until that’s been and gone. Got a 10mg pen though and planning to make it last eight weeks. I’m happy with the weight I am now, just want a couple more buffer pounds then some help with gradually getting used to feel hungry again.

Urgh I’ve had the worst side effects for four days now, had to take time off work for the first time since I started MJ.
Probs TMI but there’s no way I could work cause I would probs be caught short running to the loo.
Going to the pharmacy today to buy anything I can that might help ☹️

Sorry to hear you’re feeling unwell @TaffyTabby. Do you know what triggered it? The few occasions I’ve been unwell it seems to be totally random. On days I think I’ve over indulged and should be sick I’m not and then on others I’m totally blindsided! It was more predictable when I started though.

whats annoying is I have no idea, I actually took a lower dose last week, and tomorrow is jab day and I’m still getting side effects. I haven’t eaten much differently.

there is a bug going around at work so it’s possible it’s that but it doesn’t feel like a bug, and I’m not vomiting

@TaffyTabby Are you due on soon? I’ve found that seems to make things worse. Hope you’re on the mend soon. I found the Imodium tablets that melt on your tongue a godsend when I was really suffering.

Yes @Springbaby2023 good point, I am about a week away so could be that. I think I’ve noticed that link before too. And I retain water.

I’ve got some Imodium this afternoon so fingers crossed it’ll pass soon!

Another pen to give you a good couple of months @Springbaby2023 sounds a good idea. I am using the golden doses too so can get ten weeks from a pen. This weekend is my last full dose (second golden dose) then I’m starting to reduce down by counting clicks from my new pens from next weekend.

Can someone help me work out when to Jan next and how much!

annoyingly my next pen is late. Wanted to have a 7.5mg dose tonight (normal jab day) then one next Monday before holiday a week on Wednesday. My pen only had 5mg in which I was planning to chuck but instead I’ve taken that tonight. Do I maybe jab a small dose Thursday and then something (no idea what) Tuesday? Don’t really fancy going the whole week on 5mg. Not sure how many days between doses is the minimum. Wasn’t planning on taking pen away with me as I don’t mind going more than a week without as a one off but really was hoping for another pound or two loss this week!

Been catching up on your posts everyone! Hope you feel better soon if not already @TaffyTabby. Pepto Bismol is a great all rounder for digestive issues I reckon although it tastes weird. And looks like that window cleaner. Is it Windolene?

NSV for me tonight. I bought some beachy shorts and bought large size. (Can’t stand it when the choices are clear, s, m, l etc they are always different brand by brand) but they were ridiculously large on me! Even with an elasticated waste they looked silly. Then the other day I decided to go for a pair of size 10 jeans. They are Next brand and stretchy and I think Next are very much vanity sized. But it was so difficult to persuade myself to order them. It just seemed wrong, wrong, wrong! Anyway just tried them on prepared to not be disappointed when they were too tight but they are absolutely perfect fit! Crazy!!

Oh and according to Shotsy I’ve lost 2 st 2.9 lbs @SexyFrenchDepressionto ask your question from earlier.

I’ve read the minimum is five days @Springbaby2023 so Thursday and then another lower dose on the days before you leave sounds reasonable? Did you decide? Hope you have a fab holiday whatever you choose. I’m jeal, we’re not going away til next year as my kids are probs still a bit too small to enjoy it.

@tobee great NSVs! I didn’t know until people commented on here that next are vanity sizing. I was still super excited to fit a pair of size 12 jeans in next the other day. Even if I’m not actually that size, it’s progress from not being able to fit in the 16s before I began.

So my symptoms were a bug in the end as my LO got it too. Although I think it was maybe worse for being on the jabs. I’m glad at least I don’t have to stop MJ. I did get some pepto bismol and it helped.

@TaffyTabby Thank you! To be honest my next pen still hasn’t even been dispatched so I think I’ll just have to wait until it arrives and then decide. We have a busy weekend of birthday celebrations before the holiday as well so just really want to make sure I don’t go completely overboard. How old are your little ones?

@tobee Wow that must have felt good into a size 10! I know what you mean, I am constantly surprised when I buy a smaller item and it actually fits.

@tobee @TaffyTabby I find next odd, I am not sure they are particularly bigger than other stores for their jeans, people say they vanity size but their jeans are smaller than other stores however they are inconsistent across colours even. Their tops seem on the bigger size maybe.

I bought size 8 jeans from there and they fit ok, maybe a bit loose in places but generally good, I also have bought size 8 bottoms in other stores and they fit too, incl lululemon leggings so I dont think they size up loads. I also think it depends on your build, i was chatting to a shop assistant in there and she was tiny but said she had to buy a bigger size than usual in there.

I do feel like I am an imposter currently, I have had to buy xs/s/size 8 in lots of things and tell myself that its vanity sizing. Not sure if my brain will ever catch up.

My biggest NSV has been photos taken at a cricket match at the weekend, last year I hated it, and the candid ones were hideous but this year that were actuslly pretty normal. I will try and find last years to show you guys a comparison. Its great to compare them as really shows how far we have come.

I was like this last month from the 1st day of my period. It was awful, I lost 4lb that week I was so ill.

Phew my new pen is arriving today. I did 5mg on Sunday evening so thinking 2.5mg this evening, then I can jab 7.5mg Tuesday evening just before we go away. I’ve done a six day gap before so think that will be fine. Slightly worried about side effects while on holiday but I’ve got my Imodium packed.

That sounds a good plan. Hope it works out well.

I have a week off next week - not going away but weather looks lovely. No clue what I can wear - no summer clothes, shorts etc.
