New thread!

Feel like the old thread has been quiet recently so let’s kick off by sharing our NSVs…

Mine is finally retiring a pair of jeans that looked comically big on me. They were too tight to wear at the start of MJ. And also my youngest asked me why my top was ‘hanging’ the other day which made me laugh and think I really do need to get shopping.

1.4kg lost this week so back on track after holiday. I really feel like I’ve been eating too much but the scales suddenly dropped towards the end of the week. 100g away from Obese II and 200g away from 35kg lost!

StealthMama · 02/05/2026 07:16

well done everyone in here, the losses are amazing.

I just wanted to add I have links though work to Healthcare and we are being told there is a maintenance pill in development and could be ready later this year… which would be amazing.

i hit my 20lbs milestone yesterday. I had stopped loosing and was maintaining on 7.5 so I ordered 10mg which arrived yesterday - not long after I stepped on the scales and saw 2lbs off. So BMI is 25.5.

but I’m going to try the 10mg and see if it gives me a boost for the last half stone then begin to reduce back. I am feeling it a bit financially too now so im
lookong forward to a maintenance plan.

same NSV as others, just wearing clothes that fit, lots of my existing clothes in tubs I can’t wear and now I can. I go on holiday in 3 weeks and have ordered a high waisted bikini- would be great to wear it but we’ll see what it looks like on!

TaffyTabby · 02/05/2026 09:14

Go @StealthMama rock that bikini!

Is the maintenance pill the pill version of semaglutide (Ozempic/wegovy) that has just come out in US? Or something else?

I don’t mind doing an injection for life, I just wish it cost less!

I ended up having a really good month, lost 7.5lb even after a plateau. I’ve lost 6-7 every month so far and super happy with that, hoping it continues.

I’m now having loads of people notice all at once, it’s funny how that happens.

user593 · 02/05/2026 09:17

Well done all. I am Obese II today 🥳 the BMI categories should drop a lot faster now, and I’m excited to get under 100kg in the next couple of months.

I understand it’s a mounjaro one, but im
not certain. I agree I’m not fussed in method I just want it to be cheaper and more accessible. I sensed because there are so many secondary health benefits the tablets will vary in dosage for treating other issues aswell. It may be that higher doses are still delivered best through injection.

thats a brilliant average per month. It’s funny how I have lost half my weight in 5 weeks and the other half in 5 months. I guess its related to how we are metabolising the meds and how that changes over time.

well done @user593! great milestone!

TaffyTabby · 02/05/2026 10:52

Well done and congrats @user593
moving down those categories - even though they’re arbitrary and kinda silly - does feel really good!

BlueMum16 · 03/05/2026 10:37

Well done everyone. I've been struggling so not posting but skim read and you are all motivating me back here

Starting weight 15 stone 10 (size 18)
Target weight maybe 11 stone (size 12)
Current weight 13 stone 13.6lbs (size 16)

I'm one of the few in Wegovy. I've been buying the 1mg pen and using over 6 and then 5 weeks. This last one I've used correctly at over the 4 weeks and things are moving again.

Reasons for stretching the pen is I want slow loss to avoid saggy skin but also don't want to ween back off a high dose.

Looking at my numbers I'm maybe half way or just under.
NSV this week is needing new bras. I've gone from 38H to 36H
Last week was some new size 16 trousers that are already starting to look baggy.
Still no one has noticed.

We go on holiday in June. I'd love to be as close to 13 stone I can by then as I hate looking back on holiday photos and hoping these could be less fat than the previous few years.

LemonPandaCub · 03/05/2026 11:54

Everyone looks to be doing great!
Ive now hit 20kg loss since starting mid Nov, still on 2.5mg which I think I’d struggle to increase as I still have strong suppression although weight loss has slowed down now.
My BMI is 24.6, ideally I would like to continue to loose a little more but I’ll see what happens.

I’m with a pharmacy that supports maintenance so once the weight loss stops, hopefully I will be able to continue on the jabs for a while as it’s been helpful with my Long Covid and PCOS symptoms.

NSV wedding ring and engagement rings fit perfectly now and I fit comfortable in a size 12 jeans at M&S. Oh I’ve got slim legs for the first time since I was a teenager 🤣 even when I was a size 8/10 I’d always had really big legs in proportion to the rest of me, so that has been a lovely surprise from the MJ

Springbaby2023 · 03/05/2026 13:00

I’ve lost another pound this week so two stone six pound off in total. Would love to lose three more for a buffer but decreasing to 5mg this week so not sure it will happen, will be a good test to see if I can manage lower than maintenance calories still. I don’t know what I’ve got left in this pen but I reckon three or four 5 or 2.5mg doses max, terrified of weight going up but really can’t afford more.

Finally hit the 2 stone loss mark. Still just in the overweight bmi zone though!

Taking my first jab of 10mg seems to have made a big difference 🤞. I lost about 2 pounds for my last 5 - 6 weeks on 7.5mg but the main thing was I was getting very hungry after about 2/3 days of jabbing and it was a struggle to eat smaller amounts.

I don’t know if this sounds weird but one thing I’ve noticed on mounjaro when the dose is working is I feel I recognise hunger properly. And I know when I’m full. I feel like my emotions don’t come into play; it’s more physical instead. I don’t have cravings or mouth watering; yet I’m still enjoying food. I wonder if I was affected by blood sugar highs and lows before?

Weirdly I also seem to have less side effects than from 7.5mg where I felt very fatigued/sleepy some days, had bad indigestion and reflux and occasionally feeling queasy. They weren’t terrible but they were noticeable. I’d be really happy if the indigestion disappears for a while.

Enjoy coming here to see people’s updates. Feels like we’re in it together!

tobee · 03/05/2026 21:41

I was also wondering whether it’s a big psychological adjustment being on maintenance. It’s been so nice seeing weight numbers decreasing. The idea of it just staying as it is will be strange.

Springbaby2023 · 03/05/2026 22:22

@tobee I think that’s how I feel, I’m fairly confident in my ability to stick to maintenance calories (apart from upcoming holidays!) but I want to keep seeing the scale go down for no other reason than its addictive! I am at the weight I initially set myself as target but if I had all the money and wasn’t also in two minds about TTC, I’d 100% keep it up because it’s so satisfying seeing the scale go down.

Hi guys. So I have lost from 74kg to 64.5kg 5’4. I have done cold turkey at week 20 I came from 3.75mg to nothing. I was 2.5mg for 10 weeks and then 3.75mg for the remaining 10 weeks. I’m sensitive with the drug so a little goes a long way with satiety and suppression. So I’m 3 weeks into the cold turkey Maintance, the 1st week was crazy mental hunger and food noise by 2nd week and then 3rd week hunger settled however I still have satiety. Is anyone maintaining in their own atm? Was it hard?

I actually have 1 pen of 7.5mg untouched (I ration them into 3.75mg or 2.5mg usually). But tbh I’m also doing nursing degree and suppression was a little too much and couldn’t eat properly and felt weak, so that’s why I decided to stop. However, now I’m wondering wether I should go back and do 2.5mg Maintance doses and taper properly or continue with natural maintenance but tbh I feel like I’m gonna gain it back as on week 20 last jab, I was 64.5kg now at week 23 I’m 65.3kg

Rainyschoolrun · 03/05/2026 22:45

And btw
My Start weight: 74kg
current weight 65kg
Goal weight: 62kg

20 weeks on MJ
3 weeks off

Rainyschoolrun · 03/05/2026 22:49

@LemonPandaCub
I’ve started late November and stopped at week 20 which was early April and I’ve lost 9kg-ish. Stayed in the lowest dose for half of that loss, but I don’t know how others manage to loose 20kg in the same span of time as me, Amazing!

Springbaby2023 · 04/05/2026 08:08

@Rainyschoolrun Sorry no advice but following with interest as want to stop soon, although I was on a much higher dose than you. To be honest if I had the pen I’d use it but only because I’d hate to think of the money wasted. But I had the opposite to you in that I don’t get much suppression even on higher doses and have really had to work at eating less still. I have heard that it does take a while to get used to being off MJ.

I am struggling to get in the maintenance mindset, I lost another lb, down to 8st8, about 22kg (3.5st) off and BMI 20.6. Its very addictive and I havent reduced my dose as dont want to put any on.

Springbaby2023 · 04/05/2026 21:24

@SexyFrenchDepression I wish I had your problems lol! I’ve had a fairly high calorie weekend and I’m a day late jabbing which definitely hasn’t helped. Just jabbed 5mg as my first lower one as part of the tapering process and I’m fearful for the week ahead. That said I was literally just saying to my partner that although I’ve sworn this is my last pen, I’m so tempted to order another one as it is addictive. My worry would be that I’d order one more and it still wouldn’t be enough! Determined to try a couple of lower doses first to see if I can maintain and only order a new one if I’m really struggling, but the temptation to just keep going is real. I think I really like how in control I feel when on it.

I started 1st Nov, basically lost 2lb a week on average to beginning of April when I got to target, on between 2.5-3.75mg. I lost about 11/12lb in first 3 weeks then varied between 1-2.5lb after that. I was very strict on calories and logged everything, I was probably on 8/900 calories a day with 1000 as my maximum, high protein, low-ish carbs. I am short though so maintenance calories at my target weight would only be 1400 max I think. I think total weightloss is about 22kg/3.5 stone. Starting weight was 12st2 BMI 28, I'm now 8st8.4, BMI 20.6.

I havent really been hungry which has helped the consistency. It is so individual for people, my sons GF didnt really get suppression till 7.5mg, she didnt lose anything till 5mg.

I ordered so many i have enough till at least the end of the year, I am now panicking about how to order more in a few months in case they so no. I just want that safety net forever.

Its strange as I dont have any negative feelings towards food, I eat what I fancy but get full quick so thats all easy, I am just now feeling stressy over how I feel about putting weight on/not losing any more. I should definitely up my toning exercises as I really dont need to lose more but still a bit wobbly round my tummy and my bum needs some squats lol!

I’ve also stockpiled pens to keep me going for a good while. Did my 8th dose from current pen this weekend so two golden doses left. Then my plan is to reduce by doing fewer clicks. Thinking 28 then 26 then 24 and see how it goes. With ten doses per pen and 4 pens stashed I can get to the end of the year too. Also scared to stop as I don’t want food noise (or weight gain) back, but I really do not want to lose even another pound either!

Yeah i need to reduce clicks for sure, I am on holiday on 8th June so thinking when I am back I'll lose the holiday weight then start reducing, I should feel confident enough by then.

Springbaby2023 · 04/05/2026 21:40

I wish I’d have stockpiled and I wish I had used the golden dose from much earlier on! I think the fear of the unknown is a big thing for all of us @SexyFrenchDepression regardless of how our MJ journey has been. I haven’t felt a lot of suppression compared to many but it has definitely curbed my portion sizes which was always my issue and I am worried how I’ll be without that. But all we can do is our best and accept there will be ups and downs.

@Springbaby2023 “Sorry no advice but following with interest as want to stop soon, although I was on a much higher dose than you.”

I jabbed today :( I had the ones in the fridge and though I was marinating cold turkey from 3.75mg, and I think I was doing pretty well, my satiety was so strong, and I think my body was storing so much water and insulin, I weighed this evening and was 67.4kg! Last jab 3 weeks ago I was 64.5kg! So I know most of it is water and food sitting in my system (causing strong satiety) but seeing as I had the pen in the fridge just there thought I’d use it anyway to help taper, so I jabbed 2.5mg after 3 weeks being off! And I have 8 more doses of that to go which I hope by then I’ll have a good natural Maintenance balance.

Rainyschoolrun · 04/05/2026 23:22

@SexyFrenchDepression i think me and you had the same start weight + same height 5’4? coz I remember on the previous threads when I just came on here in November I was asking if anyone had started from low bmi 28, and you replied to me and so I have been following you closely, you did so well you should be so proud! 22kg wow amazing. And also I too only stayed on 2.5mg and went up to 3.75mg but lost only 9kg 😅. Goal was 62kg and When I got to 64kg I started feeling weak as was no longer able to eat properly due to heavy placements etc, and I looked frail though I had been strength training and gaining muscle whilst also prioritizing with protein I still struggled to eat enough. So I said I’m gonna do it on my own from 64kg and stopped cold turkey, but today 3 weeks later I went and jabbed 2.5mg back on Maintance hopefully for another 8 weeks! Are you ever thinking of stopping anytime soon? X
