New thread!

Feel like the old thread has been quiet recently so let’s kick off by sharing our NSVs…

Mine is finally retiring a pair of jeans that looked comically big on me. They were too tight to wear at the start of MJ. And also my youngest asked me why my top was ‘hanging’ the other day which made me laugh and think I really do need to get shopping.

so sorry to hear about your dog @SexyFrenchDepression! how is it doing now?

I’ve got back from holiday today. Dreading hopping on the scales but determined to get back to logging and eating well from tomorrow. Due to jab tonight as well, not decided what dose to do yet. This was meant to be my last last pen but after my holiday I’m not so sure!!

Thank you, he seems happy enough. Will learn to get around soon enough I think.

Springbaby2023 · 04/06/2026 11:39

Post holiday weigh in and I’ve put on 3.5lb, not disappointed with that at all! Jabbing today and hopeful within a week I’ll be back to where I was

Thats pretty good, I would probably be disappointed if I didn't put any on 😂 I go Monday!

Springbaby2023 · 04/06/2026 16:12

Our dog is losing his eyesight and the vet have said they soon learn to get around, very different to humans due to their other senses! Must have been awful for you all.

I drank rose every single day and had my fair share of pastries so I’m not at all surprised by the gain, didn’t track at all. Where are you going? I have the holiday blues now!

Its amazing how well they get on bless them!

Fuerteventura, have a private villa with friends, will be so relaxing. I am looking forward to a few cocktails for sure!

Springbaby2023 · 05/06/2026 07:22

Well I’ve just weighed in today and I’m already back to my pre holiday weight from 24th May, so my gain must have been all water weight, probably shouldn’t have weighed literally the day after getting back. Now to hopefully really push on and lose the last few pounds, aiming for 5lb more ideally but equally said this was my last pen so will have another decision to make soon.

SW 15 stone 10 (size 18)
TW maybe 11 stone (size 12)
CW 13 stone 8.6lbs (size 16)

Glad to see people are still doing well, even with small gains for holiday.
We go away next week for just over a week B&B to Greece. Taking a single dose with me to try not to gain too much. I always get water retention so might not weigh in immediately I'm back

Still on Wegovy, 1mg. Going slow but no side effects and very conscious about having to come off it.

Keep going everyone.

LemonPandaCub · 07/06/2026 10:44

I’m very late to the party as they’re changing the pens, but decided to extract the 5th dose this time, can’t believe I’ve not done it before as could’ve saved some ££ spreading it across 5 weeks. I had heard the 2.5mg pens will be the last to be updated so here’s hoping the pharmacy I use have the old ones for a few more months yet.
I'm surprised that I’ve lost 0.6kg over the last 2 weeks - we had a few days in Legoland and travelling and food choices were absolutely terrible as they had very limited gluten free food options, so I’m happy it’s still gone in the right direction. I’m aiming to lose a little more, my BMI is 23.5 and I’m usually happier around 22 but will see what happens as I’m loathe to go up a dose and I want to stay on MJ long term as it’s really helping with other symptoms/inflammation.

KizzyKoala · 07/06/2026 23:00

I’ve managed to maintain at target since the middle of April. Weighing approximately a couple of times a week (no set days). In that time I’ve been a pound over and a pound under but I am doing ok at holding fairly steady. I’ve not reduced my jab dose as much as I had anticipated. I’ve now done 3 weeks of 29 clicks (so just a teeny bit under 2.5mg). I had planned to drop by a click per week but I’m definitely hungrier and want to be able to maintain so holding tight for now.

OhCobblers · 10/06/2026 22:04

Hi everyone just wanted to check in and see how you were all doing! I hit my target of 9.7stone 3 weeks ago which lasted a day !!
BUT that target was always to allow for a buffer of 3/4 pounds. I’ve been off the jabs completely for 2 weeks now. I do weigh every day (stupidly!) but hope that will calm down.
I’ve been drinking quite a bit of wine the last 2 weeks which will stop but I’m pretty good at keeping maintenance calories (food not wine!!) around 1000 a day. I still eat in a very low carb/keto way which is my preference anyway.
im hoping I can keep it like this.

Springbaby2023 · 11/06/2026 22:10

@OhCobblers well done you that’s brilliant! You must feel so proud. And amazing you’ve kept it off so far, hope it continues. With you on the wine, May is always a wet month for me with multiple birthdays and a holiday.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and decided I’m going to stay on MJ longer than thought. I’m just not ready to come off yet and risk undoing the hard work. My plan is to order one more 10mg pen and use that to microdose and titrate down to 5mg, and then the next one would be a 5mg pen which I’d hope to microdose at 2.5mg for eight weeks before deciding whether to quit completely or stay on the 5mg pens. I can’t really afford another 10mg pen but I’ll make it work as I really do want to lose more so I have a buffer. I didn’t actually realise just how much cheaper the 5mg ones are so I do think if I do then decide to stay on in the very long term that will be affordable with a few small cutbacks. I’ve come too far to throw it all away now!

OP posts:
TaffyTabby · 12/06/2026 21:22

@Springbaby2023 I understand not wanting to undo all your work and progress. That’s the thing I’m most fearful of too. It sounds like you’ve got a solid plan.

I’m just over a stone away from a healthy BMI now and it feels just in reach and quite hard to get my head around.

I am taking 7.5mg now, and have had a few weeks without any side effects and fairly good suppression so it feels like a good place for me. Weight loss has really slowed, I’m losing 1lb a week but happy to chip away.

I hope maybe when I get to maintenance I can manage on 5mg pens because that does feel doable money wise for me too.

Springbaby2023 · 13/06/2026 20:18

@TaffyTabby 7.5mg felt good for me too. I stupidly tried 10mg this week as I was worried 7.5mg was becoming a bit less effective (and I was getting impatient lol) but it has absolutely floored me with tiredness / exhaustion, not worth it at all.

OP posts:
TaffyTabby · 13/06/2026 21:08

The exhaustion can be extreme. The first couple days after the jab I sometimes feel like I can’t lie down anywhere because I’ll just start dozing off.

KizzyKoala · 13/06/2026 23:08

Really hope when November comes round - a year since we started - that we have all reached target and are successfully maintaining or still steadily losing as required. If I have to stay on the pens to continue to maintain, I will do. I feel great.

user593 · 14/06/2026 21:03

@KizzyKoala My app is currently predicting I’ll be finished at the end of December. I imagine it might take longer than that though as my weight loss will slow down as I get closer to goal. That said, I’m not complaining - I’ve lost 6st 9.5lbs already and I started at the end of November. My life already feels very different! Not too far off the 100lbs mark now.

user593 · 14/06/2026 21:55

I’ve just taken my first 7.5mg dose so we’ll see how this goes 😅 Bit worried as was very settled on 5mg but definitely feel like hunger has gone up and weight loss has gone down in recent weeks!

TaffyTabby · 15/06/2026 16:11

@user593 wow what an incredible loss, you must feel so good already!

Hope 7.5 treats you well

I obviously jinxed myself because I’ve had some side effects the last two days.

I’m predicted to be at goal beginning of September, but I also suspect it’ll take longer! But if I’m at goal at the year mark I think that’s doable and I’ll be super pleased.

Amazing loss so far! I can see how life would feel so different for you! Well done

SexyFrenchDepression · 17/06/2026 13:26

I had my first holiday last week, I put on 1.7lb so not too much, we did a lot of steps so that kept the gain lower I think.

I am having a hungry week this week but only took 2mg as thats all that was left in my pen (5mg gold dose, took 3.75mg about 10 days before so just took what was left) I am still full quickly though which is great.

I will try and settle at the weight I feel happiest and then start reducing as would like to be on 2mg or less going forward to maintain.

Was chatting to my boss today about long term plans, I said if it came down in price or there was a pill that was cheaper I would happily stay on for life. If I could pay £50 a month to stay slim without trying then I would absolutely do that, easily save that in eating/drinking so a no brainer for me!"

Springbaby2023 · 17/06/2026 18:50

I’m struggling this week, took 10mg and have had bad exhaustion from it and get don’t seem to be feeling any effects! Hunger seems to be properly returning. So not surprisingly have maintained this week. Really hoping it’s just a blip and that next week I feel more back to normal, I’ve been having rubbish sleep and a bit of a cold plus not exercising so hoping that’s part of it rather than the jab just wearing off.

user593 · 18/06/2026 15:18

@Springbaby2023 I sympathise, I’ve just gone up to 7.5mg and I’m struggling to stay awake, to such an extent I think it’s not safe for me to drive. I’m absolutely knackered (and weirdly I look it too, my eyes are all puffy - but I’ve been getting the usual amount of sleep!).

tobee · 18/06/2026 18:26

Hi 👋🏻 I’ve not been on here in ages (elderly parents taking up a lot of brain space) but I’m still jabbing away weekly and thinking of all of you November 25ers! 😄

I’m half a stone away from goal (going quite slowly rn but it’s all good). I got my dd to help me with measuring me for a bra. She took the measurements and did the calculations and I ordered a new bra thinking “yeah right that’ll never fit, way too small!” But it absolutely did! 4 inches smaller in the band size!!! What?!! Although, surprisingly my cup size has only gone down from FF to F. 🤔 Anyway, feels really comfy to have a new bra that fits well!!

TaffyTabby · 18/06/2026 18:28

Oh yes new comfy bra sounds good!

I stupidly took my jab a day early, argh, really hope I don’t suffer for it

Yeah I’ve just ordered my first lot of 12.5mg having been on 10mg for a couple of months but getting sooooo hungry during the week. And not feeling as satisfied by my meals as I had been.

I didn’t have much in the way of side effects for the 7 weeks so far on 10mg but was daft at the weekend and had a very spicy Thai seafood curry. Brought back my indigestion with a vengeance but it was worth it!

Can’t be sure about the knackeredness because I’ve been staying up more than sensible watching the World Cup 😬🙄 But yeah quite sleepy.
