Wegovy March 26 starters

Hi I know there is a main March thread for injections but I thought I’d also start a wegovy specific one for us to share our experiences.
I started wegovy on Thursday 5th March I haven’t yet had any side effect nor any suppression. I hope it will kick in soon.
I’m 5 ft 2 and 78 kg

Same here @TurquoiseDreamCatcher .2 of a kilo this week. Better than putting it on but as you say, was hoping for a bit speedier

Well I haven't had the best week. Took my 4th dose of 0.5 on Friday. Felt sick all day Saturday and could barely eat, fine yesterday but lots of food noise today. Weight appears not to have changed despite my maintaining a calorie deficit. I am however premenstrual so I am assuming/hoping it is that as I've decided to do another 4 weeks on 0.5mg as I do not like the sickness! I've either thrown up or felt nauseated after each injection.

anyone else had premenstrual hunger?

Hi maybeenot, I hope you are feeling better. That's disappointing to not have any loss yet. Wegovy seems to be a slow burner compared to mounjaro (from what Ive heard)

I have given up. I was feeling too sick, moody & tired all the time. It was impacting my work and home life too much. Feeling sick all day at work for the first 3 days after jabbing and then exhausted at home in the evenings losing the rag with dh & kids.
I took my last .50mg dose of wegovy a week and a half ago. Strangely I still had a disgusting burp yesterday so it must still be in my system. I'm not feeling hungry at all which is weird. In total I lost about half a stone which seems to have mostly come off my tummy. If I could have picked a place to come off it would have been there so at least something good came out of it 😆
I'm really intrigued to know why everyone experiences it differently. I really felt psychotic the last two months so it's a relief and I've decided id rather be happy and feeling good than skinny...for now 😌 🤣

Just thought I'd leave an update as haven't for a while and see there are lots of wegovy questions recently.

After a bit of initial loss when I was calorie counting I had visitors come for over a month so put things on the back burner. Still took my shots but wasn't focused on diet. And as a result I guess I sort of stalled out until week before last I took my 4th dose at 1mg and three days later had Flu-Like symptoms where I felt hot and cold and nauseous and took myself to bed early. The next morning after not having lost any weight for about 5 weeks, I'd lost a kilo. I felt better the next day but it was like the appetite suppression was in full force. Took 1.7 dose for the first time later that week and no reaction except proper appetite suppression and now another kg off. Half way through the week and appetite is back but I also find I'm satisfied with much smaller portions.

So it's been a woosh on the scales - let's see if it continues.

Week 11 now and finally lost a stone.( 6.2k) it’s been a slow journey. It has made a difference to how I look and I can comfortably fit in my clothes. For the first time I could actually fit in all the clothes I took on holiday!

It will be 11 weeks this Thursday and I have lost 26lbs so far. I'm still on 0.5mg but have ordered 1mg which I will start next week. I'm hoping side effects aren't too bad. They'be pretty much levelled out at the moment.

Well done @Maybeenot agree re side effects levelling out. Let’s see how we get on with 1mg 🤞

I am jab 11 and have lost 3kg. The strange thing is that although I have had a very small weigh loss, I’m visibly much thinner and I’ve had to buy new clothes.

I started Wegovy at the beginning of March. I lost well initially but stalled for a while. Now I’m losing again but slowly. I’m on 1mg.
Best bits so far - feeling free from the cycle of trying to eat well, failing, feeling annoyed with myself, resolving to start a new diet and failing again.
Only one person has mentioned me losing weight so far but I have gained and lost so much weight over the years I don’t think people notice anymore or don’t want to say. I’ve noticed though.

Week 11 and another pound gone, am happy with that as I ve had a stressful week at work and that knocks me off my lunch/food routine. Improved water intake but still nowhere near where it should be.
7.25k (1st 1kb) loss.
best bits - my clothes fit, wearing clothes that I had packed away hoping for a miracle- and now it’s happened 😊

All side effects have disappeared apart from acid reflux.
I ordered 1mg but now having second thoughts as I am loosing on .5. Will take first jab tonight and see how it goes
