Wegome26 · 07/03/2026 14:15

Hi I know there is a main March thread for injections but I thought I’d also start a wegovy specific one for us to share our experiences.
I started wegovy on Thursday 5th March I haven’t yet had any side effect nor any suppression. I hope it will kick in soon.
I’m 5 ft 2 and 78 kg

Can I join this, I'm really interested in how everyone is doing.

I started on 26 March. I did 4 weeks of 0.25 and then moved to 0.5 and I'm on my second dose of that. V limited side effects until Friday last week when I felt v nauseous all day. I'm tracking my intake with MyFitnessPal and I'm walking 30-50 mins most days.

starting weight 235lbs
Current weight 219lbs

Nearly the same as you ! And feeling really nauseous at .5 🤢 I got sick today and last week, aswell as my very first week at 0.25
Feeling unmotivated to keep going now, i want to get back to feeling myself but obviously still wish to lose weight 😩

Hepzibar · 04/05/2026 08:12

29th here. Milder side effects on .5 but that may be down to small tweaks to diet, less coffee and more water (not enough but more). That said, had 2nd jab yesterday and had very poor sleep, acid reflux returned with vengeance, I hardly had any water yesterday so possibly that accounts for it.
steady weight loss at 10lbs.

Maybeenot · 04/05/2026 11:17

I'm feeling quite nauseous again today and have mild constipation which isn't helping. Struggling a bit to eat enough and all drinks have a sweet taste which I do not like.

I am motivated to keep going though.

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 04/05/2026 17:57

The scales said 82kg this morning so I’m officially 3kg down. I’m going to double dose this evening as I am not convinced the starter dose is enough for me, this will be jab 5.

Stickytoffeetartt · 05/05/2026 14:01

Does everyone get the disgusting foul - smelling burps or just me?!!

Oh yes! The sulphur burps. Not just you, it’s one of the side effects, but one I can handle.

I have just done by double dose, I really hope there will be no side effects!

Stickytoffeetartt · 05/05/2026 14:58

Thank you Turquoise. It's a relief to know I'm not alone! My dh got a sniff of one and nearly got sick. He couldn't work out what the smell was. Gosh they must be lethal 🤣

Toomuchtothinkof · 05/05/2026 15:03

Im burping more than normal but thankfully not sulphur burbs so far, I have had indigestion every mid morning since taking the last injection which was my 2nd dose of 0.5.

MrsKurz · 08/05/2026 15:12

hope it’s ok if I jump on this thread for a question! I just took my first jab of 0.25mg yesterday and feel absolutely nothing. No side effects at all, but I don’t think any appetite surprisession either? I’ve actually only had a couple of small meals today and I feel ok, but I could eat if that makes sense? I still woke up hungry this morning (took my jab around 9pm last night).

basically… did anyone else have a similar experience of not feeling much effect in the very beginning, but still ultimately finding it successful? I have about 25kg to lose and am happy for it to be slow and steady, I just don’t want this to be a waste of time

Yes there have been a few times where I've questioned whether I've done the injection correctly. I haven't had lots of side effects, a couple of days of nausea on and off but that hasn't been until weeks 5 and 6. I can't say I felt immediate appetite suppression either but I have been calorie counting and after a few days I stopped thinking about food and that has continued.

I can’t wait for that honestly. This evening I’m at a friends event and there was cake and I still had that overwhelming urge and was just constantly thinking about the cake until I had some… can’t wait for that to stop

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 08/05/2026 22:48

I start the feel the effects 24-48 hours after the jab. Sulphur burps then I realise I have completely forgotten to eat!

Toomuchtothinkof · 09/05/2026 09:08

@MrsKurz hello & welcome, stick with it, looking back I’m definitely seeing the effect of it strengthen now I’m off 0.25 and onto 0.5. I also saw it build up as the 0.25 built up week on week. I log my injections on the Shotsy app and you get a weekly graph indicating how the drug is peaking and troughing each week and how it’s building up in your body week on week, I don’t full understand it but it’s helping me understand when it’s working most and when I need to be most mindful about my eating & might experience snacking urges

I’m at week 6 weigh in today, 3.5lb down this week making it 15.5lb / 7kg in 6 weeks. I’m really happy but also really surprised by the results. Taken my 3rd 0.5 dose today

im continuing to track all my food, making sure I eat 3 meals and focussing on protein and veg & fruit. Haven’t done as many dumbbell workouts this week but have been out running, I need to make an effort with weight training next week!

hope everyone is doing ok?

Thanks so much for sharing, it’s encouraging to hear from people who are a bit further long.

im almost 48 hours from first jab and I feel a tiny bit icky and just a bit off? Nothing major, not bothering me and not even nausea. And it comes and goes a bit. I can’t really tell if I feel less hungry if that makes sense? Or if I’m just on that “new” motivation.

Toomuchtothinkof · 09/05/2026 13:07

@MrsKurz Ive only had side effects since stepping it up to 0.5 and have felt some indigestion / nausea 48-72hrs after the injections. It’s been quite mild. I had constipation almost straight away and have been taking husk tablets daily since midway through the first week and that’s sorted me out. The biggest change I noticed within days of the first injection was the food noise stopped and after decades of food noise it took a few days for me to stop thinking about why my head wasn’t thinking about food 🤣🤣 it’s only since reading up on WLIs that’s I’ve learnt not everyone has constant food noise, I guess if I didn’t have food noise I may have not noticed the difference as much straight away.

Remember 0.25 is just an introductory dose to gently get your body used to it and we all have different responses to it. I’ve found Dr Emma Anders on YouTube useful, she’s a British GP who takes GLP so is speaking from experience and she has a video on why some people are super responders and others aren’t

you are still really early days on the your GLP journey xx

Maybeenot · 09/05/2026 14:11

Only 1lb lost this week but I've been v busy with work and not able to get moving much. First non scale win though which I makes up for it - some jeans that have never fit me (and I should really have taken back) fit and zip up with ease plus a bit of room to spare.

this is the motivation I need! Took me 6 years to gain all this weight!

Good to know, I do think it’s doing something, just very subtle. Oh I definitely get food noise and totally know what you mean. Today I can tell I’m not as hungry and not really craving food as much but it’s TOTALLY a habit that makes m almost always thinking about food/my next snack / if I can get a cheeky treat in in a free moment. I think it’s going to take a while to break that habit and get my head to catch up

That’s a brilliant NSV! Well done!

I picked up a pair of jeans in a sale the first week of the injections, I knew they would be too small and when I got them home I struggled to even get them over my hips, I did get them pulled up but then had a huge gap between the button and button hole (they are cheap supermarket jeans with absolutely no give in the denim)

I’ve been trying them on each week and I can now get them done up but there’s a long way to go to make them wearable, I don’t think I could currently sit down in them and I’ve big roll of tummy over the done up waistband

I’m loving having them as a measure of my progress 😀

I understand the habit thing! Driving and after dinner is my worst times for habit eating. In the car I’ve got a tin of sugar free mints so have one of them and at home I’ve got a bag of fruit pastilles and I allow myself 2 an evening to suck. The bag of sweets is kept on our coffee table as then my husband will notice if I’ve ate them all 😂

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 09/05/2026 16:29

I feel like my weight loss is slow! I’ve definitely lost 2kg, I was hopeful that it was 3kg but my weight is still fluctuating between 82kg-83kg. I’m on week 5 and my 0.5 injection. I think when the scales say 81kg I can celebrate a loss.

Hepzibar · 10/05/2026 07:32

No change for me this week ☹️ this was my second week of 0.5. Lost 4.5kg overall so not complaining too much. Plus side some people (2) at work have noticed that was nice and definitely a boost.

additionally I can feel a difference in my clothes, and have got in comfortably some dresses that were too tight.

so maybe this week it’s NSV’s first me

So I checked this morning and I've lost 20lbs so far. I've had 7 injections. As well as being able to get into some clothing I previously couldn't, I can really see that my waist has returned, which makes me feel much better. Still a long way to go yet.

SW 235lbs
CW 215lbs
GW 154lbs

Hi everyone I’ve been following for a bit and have decided to make the switch from mounjaro to Wegovy. I lost 2.5 stone with mounjaro 2 years ago and have maintained 2 stone off since using the jab. I was lucky in that I didn’t have to titrate up and never reached a full 5mg dose- using clicks to get up to around 4.5- due to side effects.
I no longer had appetite suppression but side effects (nausea and fatigue) made it hard to push higher so I thought a switch might be what I need as I’d like to lose another 1.5-2 stone.

I had a 2 week break between the diff meds and was blown away by the hunger. It almost felt worse than any weight loss.

I’ve taken my 2nd 0.25mg jab yesterday and have had (TMI) explosive bowels since (something I also got on MJ) but no real suppression and very much still have food noise. But hanging in there reading the positive updates on here and hoping for some suppression and progress- fingers crossed

The suppression only started for me once I moved up a dose. Saying that, my weight loss seems incredibly slow compared to other people. Think I’m destined to be a porky pig forever.
