Wegome26 · 07/03/2026 14:15

Hi I know there is a main March thread for injections but I thought I’d also start a wegovy specific one for us to share our experiences.
I started wegovy on Thursday 5th March I haven’t yet had any side effect nor any suppression. I hope it will kick in soon.
I’m 5 ft 2 and 78 kg

@Hepzibar- Hi! Glad to hear I’m not the only one that can’t stay off the scales.
Getting enough water is a real struggle isn’t it! I have a pint first thing and another when I get home from work and that’s about all… 😫

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 21/04/2026 21:35

Please can I join in? I’m due my third jab tomorrow evening. My starting weight was 85kg and now it’s 83kg. I’m aiming for 60kg.

My main side effect is that I’m exhausted, I keep napping!

MabelStark · 21/04/2026 22:35

Hi @TurquoiseDreamCatcherplease join in! I’m so interested to hear everyone’s progress! I’m looking to lose around 4 stone/25kg too. I keep asking chat gpt how long it might take me to get there. 😂😂😂

Hepzibar · 22/04/2026 06:14

Welcome and Hi @TurquoiseDreamCatcher
i started at 79k now on 76k, aiming for 65 but worried how it affect my face - don’t want to look haggard and old! The fat pads out any wrinkles atm 😊.

I have had much less symptoms this week, tweaks to diet as I said earlier but also I injected in my stomach first the first time - previously done alternative thighs. Sticking to stomach from now on I think

Is anyone else feeling complete apathy to everything in life or just me?!!!

Timeforaglassofwine · 22/04/2026 07:54

Hope you are okay @stickytoffeetartt.
I'm hopping on if thats okay.
My big motivation moment was on a uni tour with my youngest, we all walked across campus going uphill, and the 3rd set of steps about killed me!
This time 12 years ago after a big diet I was a size 10/12 and loved clothes. Now I'm menopausal and a size 18. Even 18s in some clothes are getting tight. If I get to size 12/14 I'll be happy, so I'm basing my target on how my lovely old clothes look! I tried slimming world, twice, but it just didn't work for me. The way I dieted in my younger years was with a private slimming consultant, but the company I used no longer exists. Even then I always had the unhealthy habit of binge eating after the weekly weigh in.
Reading your stories and successes is really motivational. Well done everyone.
I started 6 days ago. I'm not sure whether it's placebo or motivation, but I'm not snacking, skipping the potatoes at dinner time, and making little healthier switches, such as brown rice and pasta instead of white. Wine will be my downfall, as I have a glass most nights.
I'm hoping I go to the loo today, as I'm weighing myself tomorrow 🤣

@Hepzibar I've started taking collagen supplements, hopefully to prevent skin sagging and possible hair loss.

Toomuchtothinkof · 23/04/2026 07:42

So lovely to read the replies on here, I was a little worried I was talking to myself last weekend 😂😂

I take collagen each day, started it last year after having acrylic nails that wrecked my nails after removal, I have noticed a difference in my nails and hair. Ive been recommended biotin for hair too but haven’t tried that yet

@Stickytoffeetartt hope you are ok? Do you take magnesium I’ve been taking it for about 7 years and it’s really helped with my mood and emotional regulation

I ate and drank too much whilst away last weekend, it was less than a weekend away without WLI but I know I’m trying to pull back my alcohol indulgence this week so will be happy if I see the same number on the scales on Saturday!

I’m still here. Did 4th Jab on Sunday. I’ve had horrendous heartburn/acid reflux, felt very tired but struggling to sleep. Persevering and made some dietary changes, less coffee and wine sadly. Feel better this week so far. The good news is I’ve lost 3K and been on a cruise in that time. Still need to increase my water intake

Where was your cruise too? Great you’ve lost with the cruise. We have a cruise in a couple of months, not been on one before, I want to buy dresses but holding back on Vinted til nearer, I have been buying shoes and accessories though 😂

What answer does ChatGPT give you? I’ve got a spreadsheet on my iPad to log weight loss, planned it out for the rest of the year but think I will need a 2027 tab too 😂

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 23/04/2026 18:56

ThanK you for the kind welcomes. I keep thinking about the summer and that I can buy myself some new clothes. Although not really sure what a 41 year should be wearing, I feel like my heart is at 18 but the stuff I wore back then would just be weird.

Hepzibar · 24/04/2026 06:19

@Toomuchtothinkof
love cruising. Vinted is definitely my friend 😊
we went to Malta, Split,Zadar,Dubrovnik and back to Malta.

I think the scales might be catching up this week though! Not showing any change so far this week.
Apart from acid reflux, hardly any symptoms this week - which is good. Not sure if that’s me getting used to it, change of injection area might have helped too.
due to go up to next dose on Sunday- see what that brings.

Mumstheword1983 · 25/04/2026 08:31

Hi all. I finished my first pen over a week ago and due to finances I haven't ordered another. I decided to see what happened if I stuck to the same plan without the injection. In total I lost 7lbs over the 4 weeks and this week without the injection I lost another 1lb. I was hungry mostly in the morning. It was an 'easy' week though with no socialising and back at work so less availability to go off the waggon.

I will see how this goes. I still have 5lb to go to get to my own target weight. The suggested target weight for my height is lower than I would like. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Sounds lovely! We are sailing from Southampton to Spain and Portugal, so a few cruising days, never been on a cruise before 😀

Toomuchtothinkof · 25/04/2026 18:45

My 5th jab and 4th weigh in today, I’ve stayed the same on the scales. Think it’s the over indulgence of my weekend away last week. I’ve upped my dose today to 0.5

I’m happy with 9lb in 4 weeks, I haven’t managed that on my own despite months of trying.

happy with myself for being consistent with weight training. I was doing some videos by a US based coach but the last 2 I’ve done have been Joe Wicks and he’s def had me working harder, so signed up to his app. I’ve also been out running a few times over the last couple of weeks. I’m slow and can’t run far but I’m trying 😀😀

Hepzibar · 28/04/2026 20:22

5th Jab on Sunday and went up to the 0.5. I’m beginning to think it was defective! No side effects, all gone- absolutely nothing. Suppression is no different. See what happens

Reepicheepp · 28/04/2026 21:26

I'm half way through week 7 - I've lost 5kg but things have slowed drastically in the last 3 weeks but that's with friends and family staying and easter candy everywhere, so I've not been calorie counting as I was at the start. To be honest, I'm pretty chuffed I didn't gain! I'd say portion control at meal times has been a lot better and I'm not going back for seconds (or thirds🙃) the way I did previously but I also don't feel consious of a massive appetite suppression the way I did when I first started.

With wegovy, do we keep increasing dose to get to 2.4 if side effects allow? The main thread is full of MJ users who seem keen to stay on lowest dose possible but I didn't know if that was driven by cost or something else
