Hi I know there is a main March thread for injections but I thought I’d also start a wegovy specific one for us to share our experiences.
I started wegovy on Thursday 5th March I haven’t yet had any side effect nor any suppression. I hope it will kick in soon.
I’m 5 ft 2 and 78 kg

Well! It’s working- I’m astonished. Had a smaller portion of cereal for breakfast and then went all way through to 1pm without snacking - I always have elevensies!
home now making dinner with no urge to snack.
and so far - no side effects

It’s a week since my first injection, so I’ve just taken my 2nd dose from the pen

was looking forward to taking it as the last two days I’ve felt my appetite and food noise coming back. Nothing I couldnt handle and I stuck to my 3 meals and didn’t snack, plus when I ate I still felt full quickly

scales show that I’m down 4.5lb 😀😀😀 (2kg for anyone not old like me)

I also read last night that the NHS is changing the criteria for Wegovy and come the summer I should be able to get it on prescription as I have one of the 3 medical history things they are changing it too.

hope everyone else is getting on ok?

I’m about to take my 3rd injection - I am 8lb down in two weeks. I’m pretty happy with how it’s going so far - the constant feeling of wanting to snack and graze is gone, feeling ravenous at mealtimes is gone. I can still eat, but I’m making good choices, measuring portion sizes and not snacking at all.
I’ve had very few side effects, I’ve been taking electrolytes daily - maybe this is helping. I’m just thinking about where to inject, the first two I have done into my stomach.

Hi everyone. I lost 1lb this week. So that's 5lbs in 2 weeks. I actually feel it looks like I've lost more though! Off out for lunch and drinks for the first time today so hoping that goes ok. Happy Easter all.

I’ve done 3 jabs, this week will be no 4. I’ve lost 5lbs total. I’m not having side effects anymore but I’m not sure I am going to get another pen. I really can’t afford it this month. The nice weather has helped me get more active again and back into my good habits that helped me lose all the weight last time so maybe I will keep going without wegovy

End of first week, will wait until this evening to jab. Lost 1.5k (just over 3lbs) so happy with that.
only side effect is heartburn so stocked up on Gaviscon.
struggled with water intake
overall really happy

I am aiming for about 2lbs a week weight loss but I haven't really changed my diet yet (apart from eating less due to the reduced apetite!)

I'm calorie counting using my fitness pal. I'm having 12-1300 calories and doing 10k plus steps per day.

I decided to reorder. I have been on the right track and no side effects now, so I am going to cautiously continue for now. I’ve actually lost 8lbs since I started and my BMI is going in the right direction. My BMI was only 27 this time, but this is after I had a BMI of 38 a few years ago and suddenly had a big menopausal regain. Years of maintaining and every strategy to drop weight was not working at all so didn’t know if this would help give me a push. I don’t know what to do about maintenance long term.

I exercise every single day in some way, some kind of movement. I do calorie count but my exercise can throw things around because running makes you really hungry and I can’t not fuel for the exercise!

Not calorie counting but focussing on protein and vegetables/ fruit and trying to cook from scratch. I am having carbs but they are really small portions on my plate
I’ve started to do a daily weights work out at home, found a YouTube channel with 20 - 30 min sessions for beginners dumbbell work out sessions and it’s testing me enough at the moment as I haven’t touched my weights for several years

my main problem this week has been constipation. The husk capsules and senna weren’t touching it and I was so uncomfortable and bloated that I took dulcolax last night, worked like dynamite 😂😂 going to try and drink more water now to see if that helps

Focusing on weights and protein sounds sensible! I've put my leggings on and convinced myself I will do some weights today!

I am so glad someones finally mentioned constipation - we had some lactoluse in the back of the cupboard which has helped abit but its not been this bad since i was post partum... 10 years ago!!

Hello.all. Another 1lb this week so that's 6lbs in 3 weeks. I will do my last jab tomorrow as I have a wedding today.

I'm not sure if I will go up a dose or try the same calorie intake as I've done the past 3 weeks and see if I can actually keep it going myself. Unsure 🤔.

Just taken my 4th jab this morning (0.25) very happy with the progress made and I’ve hardly had any side effects- slightly constipated but that’s about it. The suppression I have is still good, very happy to eat, but having small portions and no snacks. Next dose will be 0.5 - hopefully everything will continue as it is!
Very happy to be in this group as I haven’t told anyone that I’m taking the jabs - just that I’m watching what I eat.

What has everyone put as their goal weight? The lowest weight I can remember being is 11 stone 11 so I’ve put that for now.

Evening

I did my 3rd dose today, have lost 2.5lb this week so that’s 7lb in two weeks 😀

I’ve just ordered my next pen and Med Express suggested I do another 4 weeks of 0.25, I’m happy with that as it’s working well on this dose and happy to stay as low as I can and move up when the weight loss slows

@MabelStark Ive set my goal as 10st 4 as that’s the top of healthy BMI for my height, I can’t remember when I was last that weight so not sure if it’s even achievable but I can change the goal & set it higher when I get closer if I want, currently only another 67lb to go 😳😂😂

@ToomuchtothinkofI wonder if I should be staying on 0.25 as it is working well for me at the moment. I subscribed to 3 months of Juniper and their recommendation is to move up to 0.5.
10 stone 4 would be a great goal as I’m only 5 foot 4 but it doesn’t seem achievable for me!

@MabelStark Im 5’4 too. I can’t imagine myself at 10st 4 and I’m not really sure it’s achievable. I would have been very early 20s last time I was that and I’m in my 50s now and don’t want to look to gaunt. I’m focussing on loosing another 4lb at the moment as that gets me back to where I was in January and from there I’ll take it in half stone chunks.

I’m 50 this year. I think that’s what made me decide to do something about my weight. If I lose another 4 pounds I weigh the same as the morning I gave birth to my son 21 years ago. 😂

Morning

just done my 4th injection / 3rd weigh in, have lost 2lb this week which I’m happy with as had a day out last weekend with nice food & cocktails. 9lb lost so far which I’m really happy with

minimal side effects still, could really feeling it wearing off yesterday and I bought myself a small bar of chocolate which I ate last night watching TV, I enjoyed it but then felt sick afterwards so it wasn’t really worth it. Have been sticking to a daily Dumbell workout and my clothes are feeling a little looser

have got my next pen and Med Express suggested I stay at 0.25 so that’s what I’m doing

hope everyone is getting on ok

SW: 15st 8lb
CW: 14st 13lb
1st goal: 14st 11 (where I was in Jan)
final goal: 10st 4lb

I've moved up to 0.5 on Saturday and still feeling pretty much fine. I’ve been consistently constipated but that has been my only side effect really. I’ve been using chia seeds every breakfast time and eating some tinned prunes and they seem to be doing the job. I’m away for a break at the coast for a few days at the moment so I don’t anticipate a loss this week. Being away from home will keep me off the scales though which I think will do me a favour - I’m weighing myself far too often. 🙄

I’m still here. Did 4th Jab on Sunday. I’ve had horrendous heartburn/acid reflux, felt very tired but struggling to sleep. Persevering and made some dietary changes, less coffee and wine sadly. Feel better this week so far. The good news is I’ve lost 3K and been on a cruise in that time. Still need to increase my water intake
