Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we spring into spring not obsessing over Easter Eggs for the second year 🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W68 D6 and on w12 of 2.5mg maintenance dose.

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far at lowest weight was 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0) maintenance has seen 4 of those pounds go back on.

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style/vinted chat too 🤗

Hello lovely people! Thanks for the new thread @Mounjaropen!

Weighing in:
H 5’ 7
SW 14st
CW 10st
GW 9st 7lb
Maintenance since September, dosing with 2-3 week gaps

February has been interesting. I have put 7lb back on gradually over the winter months. Then again I am eating chocolate (dark) daily, so what do I expect? Clothes still fit fine but definitely seeing fat deposits appear in upper abdomen and top of thighs.

The plan:

  • 5mg Mounjaro for 4 weeks - whenever I come off fully, it doesn't really work for me
  • Do cardio (I do exercise little and only weights, my lifestyle is quite sedentary so there's gains to be made - finding love is a big distraction unfortunately! It's so easy to stay home with snacks!)
  • Reduce chocolate/sweets intake and ensure I eat proper meals instead of skipping and snacking

Anyone else struggling and slipping back into old snacking habits? (She writes, polishing off a pack of Digestives)

I never used to weigh myself and that's how I gained 4st while barely noticing. Anyone else agree that regular weighing is actually good, not evil? I used to think it was obsessive and unhealthy, but now I'd class it akin to measuring your blood pressure regularly.

This is also the first winter in maybe forever with zero days off sick :) I've caught the odd bug but my immunity and ability to fight it appear so much better, wonder if it's a healthier body, a better diet, or something else.

Yes, I am the same.
My work colleagues have been dropping like flies with a bug that is doing the rounds and I haven’t caught it.

lovealongbath · 04/03/2026 10:20

I have just had my first every mooch about Vinted.

First observation is there are many sellers needing to invest in an iron!

if I decide to sell, what do you use for postage bags?

I bought a load of mailing bags off Amazon and reuse any packaging I have lying around.

And you are so right re the iron!

Love this for you! I was always in awe of people that didn’t catch a really bad cold/flu during the colder months. I’m sure a better, more diverse and vitamin rich diet plays a role.

Maybe you could start a side hustle selling irons on Vinted 😉🤣

I used to have professional posting bags, but now I just reuse any e-commerce packaging I get, or even sturdy paper bags from stores.

PinkArt · 04/03/2026 12:14

I bought a pack of the grey postage bags that every Vinted seller seems to use too, because I thought something self sealing would be harder to scam from than a taped up plastic bag. Any beauty bits I've sold go into the hoarded boxes I've got from Cult, SpaceNK etc & I bought a cheap roll of fragile tape too to cover myself if anything got bashed around by couriers.

just use any old bag - I have kept bags from previous Vinted purchases, online orders from Amazon, Crewe, Weird Fish all fine. I just scrub off my address details.

I tend to avoid people who haven’t ironed stuff or say things like ‘ I will wash it before posting ‘ 🤮

And I have a couple of saved boxes for any unused cosmetic stuff. Plus I saved some bubble wrap from previous online purchases.

sold a couple of Weird Fish fleeces on Vinted recently. They are so hard wearing I am buying a couple more as great for gardening, walking etc.

RayonSunrise · 04/03/2026 16:09

Regarding selling on Vinted, be aware that there are recommendations for protecting yourself from scammers.

Eg - double wrapping your items before posting, and photographing (or even videoing) your packaging so it’s clear you item went in looking good and you took care to protect it from damage. Unfortunately there are people out there who will lie their heads off and say you sent something in poor condition, or that it was damaged in transit because you didn’t package adequately, and then try getting to keep your item for free. If that happens Vinted asks for lots of photos of your item, your packaging, etc so it’s not just your word against theirs!

Goldleafcat · 04/03/2026 16:11

Re Vinted just be careful if you’re selling a higher value item, they’ve become quite fussy around packaging expectations (very unrealistic if you ask me given what we generally make on each item!). They like boxes and padded mailing bags / bubble wrap. I’m still using mailing bags bought off Amazon, but if the item is more than say £6 I’m normally using a bit of bubble wrap. I sold a dress for £75 the other day which I’ve packaged using bubble wrap, a bag and a box! Hope I don’t get scammed! I’ve taken photos of every packing stage in case 😬 (the buyer does have good reviews).

You can get a giant roll of bubble wrap from Argos for £6.

Mounjaropen · 04/03/2026 16:14

Well good afternoon y’all…Vinted queen of the week here 😂 I have sold 17 items from my beauty drawer since this time last week..! Even better, the dress I wanted from Self Portrait (the one that’s the maxi dress version of my fancy gold blouse) but I couldn’t justify the £595 cost (even for a posh day out) and it would appear it’s never gonna be in the sales…BUT one appeared in size 10 on Vinted..worn once (we’ll see) however she has ‘misplaced’ the belt 🤔. She wanted £250 for it but with no belt it was too much, I chanced my arm and bid £150 (I’m gonna have to buy another dress to get a belt from it as they don’t sell spares at SP) and she accepted it! It’s on its way now. Even better, it cost me £0 as i used my balance from this week’s sales! Feel like a winner.

Then went to Tesco after tennis and found 10 cans of G&T for £3.69 in the yellow sticker section. Someone obviously messed up but I was all over it 😂

Score, @Mounjaropen!

In other Vinted news, I bought a pair of Zara denim shorts which I already own and they arrived yesterday. First, I guessed right - they are the exact right pair of denim shorts and not a slightly different iteration, but secondly and more importantly, they’re a size 8 and they fit! Thirdly, they cost £2 plus p&p. Very pleased with myself on multiple fronts.

Perhaps we’ll get one for Mother’s Day? ‘Treat your mother to the perfect gift this year’ 🤣

I’d add: for High value items I video myself packing the box. I then sign over the seal which I then cover with clear tape - that way the receiver knows if it was opened en route. I also take a picture of the recipient’s name and address on the label. The one time (so far) someone claimed they had not received the parcel from RM, I looked up the address on street view, compared it to the doorstep photo on the RM app when delivered, and bingo! It was the same place. Sent all of that to vinted. Got my money back. I also set up an alert for the skirt that had ‘gone missing’.

Forget flowers and chocolates, this year it’s all about fighting the flab!

(that said, a discount code would be useful)

The pink coat rides again! On my way into the office.

I’m convinced that the MJ does more than we realise. But also if we consider just how much less UPF we’re all now consuming, that has to play a factor. I haven’t had a cold now for two successive winters (touch wood!) but I am getting a plane this weekend so things might change..

Unless I REALLY want the item, and it has tags attached I avoid anything where the seller cba. It’s just manners really isn’t it?!

Hello lovely people! Thanks for the new thread @Mounjaropen!

I’ve actually gone back up to 5mg this week having put roughly the same amount back on since November ish. There is definitely something more that the MJ is doing beyond appetite suppression for me. The sheer amount of exercise and clean eating I’ve been doing cannot mean it is general dieting principles at play. So far the scales are descending in number having eaten roughly the same as last week.

I’m at the stage where I think coming off MJ entirely is going to be very unlikely for me.

But yes. On 2.5mg I could quite happily have eaten six chocolate digestives in one sitting. Possibly more 😳

I’m always surprised by the number of people who can’t be bothered to include a photo of the size label, especially after the uproar about the size category changes. It really does matter to me if something is a size 10 or a size 8!

Speaking of which, this week I thought I’d pre-empt summer a bit and browse for Vinted shorts in the size S 8/10 category. I’ve not seen a single pair I like in a size 10 - they are ALL 8s. Some are even described as 6/8! It’s really strange.

MI5 is missing an employee 😂

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 05/03/2026 09:05

Lost another 1/2lb this week! I now have 3.5lbs / 1.6kg to go to reach a weight a BMI of 24.9.

Going off for a run this morning. I feel my bumpy plateau (10.1 to 9.13) is finally breaking as I saw 9.11 this morning. The sun is shining and I am back on 10k steps a day, taking protein powder to up my protein and drinking more water. So close that I can sense victory and then I can work on the buffer loss.

Come on 💪🏻

I picked up a couple of size 10 plain roll necks for next winter in the M&S sale yesterday to wear under jumpers / cardigans / fleeces. They had loads of size 16 plus but not much in size 12 or 10. I am glad I tried them on because one I needed to size down but they didn’t have it in stock. I guess in my area of sunny Surrey loads have been or are on MJ from what I remember my dentist telling me. I saw her last week and my teeth are all good due no sugary snacks and drinks 😇. She wished she could dispense WLI as she would have made a fortune.

In terms of clothes I am finding that I am avoiding black and navy like the plague. I guess it is because they were my go to colours pre November 24 as I thought they were slimming.
