Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we spring into spring not obsessing over Easter Eggs for the second year 🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W68 D6 and on w12 of 2.5mg maintenance dose.

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far at lowest weight was 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0) maintenance has seen 4 of those pounds go back on.

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style/vinted chat too 🤗

I've lost 9 stone, so it would have been daft to assume I'd get away scot free. To be honest, I think I did get off quite light on the whole, when one considers what it could have been! My arms and inner thighs are not good, but my stomach is oddly not terrible.

I'm lifting weights and moisturising like I've developed a fetish - apparently its not unheard of for some of it to get sucked back in after a year or two. No way of knowing whether will get lucky with that, but my upper arms are only visible in a heatwave and, clothed, you could never tell that there was anything amiss with my thighs at all, so I'll take it. It's 100% worth it.

Totally agree ,100% worth it .
My neck is the worst affected .. totally didn't expect that .
Arms probably the next worst .
Legs I can live with ,as I'm permanently in very short denim shorts,so they clearly don't bother me .
Stomach looks ok .. obviously still plenty of meat on it 😀

Freddiefisher · 30/07/2026 18:20

The thigh gap ,is best thing about weight loss so far ..I love the fact I have a big gap top to bottom and can wear dresses without shorts under .bliss

random223 · 30/07/2026 18:40

I am supposed to be on maintenance but have put on 4lbs. Am thinking of going up a dose for the summer. I am definitely finding it harder to track which I know I need to. Enjoying the summer dresses without shorts though!

Yes, I love my thigh gap! I actually look pretty nice in leggings now, which I never saw coming.

I also have a 'neck situation'...

The neck is not good ..mine has .Iike ridges in it ..or maybe it's worse in my head than in reality.. absolutely no one has mentioned it ...so either it's not as noticeable as I imagine,or people are to polite.
Everyone has been very complimentary about my weight loss ..
I'm moisturising religiously day and night ..I'm hoping it will slightly improve.
I'm currently in size 18 clothes,..I started at size 32 ..all my size 18s are loose ,so I will definitely be a size 16 for any autumn clothes I need ..
I'm finding clothes are more expensive.. bizarrely
When I was size 32 ,there was so much choice of clothes in the sale ,so I always had lots of lovely clothes, for not much money...as I've gone down the sizes ,there's less and less clothes in the sale..I was looking for some size 16 dresses ..but will I get wear out of them ??..2 months max to end of September,if it stays warm that long ..but I'm not paying full price for anything, and I haven't found anything I like in the sale yet ..

I see mine all the time in selfies from below, but I'm a shortarse so console myself with the fact that most people see me from a more flattering aerial angle.

On the clothes front, yes - frustrating. I think I've learned from my experience that my size is never in stock, be it my largest or my smallest. When I was a size 22, I got very righteously angry about how hard it was to find in many stores and how it was blatant discrimination. Now I'm a size 4-6 (because I'm so bloody short, I know it sounds ridiculous and unhealthy but I promise it doesn't look that way) and most places still dont stock my size. I do realise this is coming across as very 'my diamond shoes are too tight' by the way.

I found that as I got smaller, I began to burn through dress sizes very quickly so Primark became a good go-to for a while.

It's a solution rather than a cure but I've only used one so far. I'm going to see if weekly, while I've got a face mast on, makes any difference.
It feels like something that would be good before a big night out.

RayonSunrise · 01/08/2026 09:53

Hello skinnies! I have been following all your skin convo pretty avidly. My problem spot is my upper tummy - most of my skin is looking okay for my age, but I just have that one patch where there’s a bit of looseness and creasing. Hard to say if it’s losing the better part of 5 stone or just being in my 50s, though!

I am very interested in those melting patches, @PinkArt. Every little bit helps, etc…

So far my weight is maintaining on a weekly 5mg jab. Has anyone looked into/considered switching to the pills for maintenance? I can’t say as I’m wildly tempted (once a week is easier than daily, surely?) but I keep hearing they cost less.

So I guess at size 22 you always shopped in normal shops ,I've been with yours for years ,or simply be and fashion world.
I don't bother looking round the shops ,just order on line .
So ...you could probably shop in childrens shops ..like gap children or new look girls .I'm sure they don't have tax on them ,and isn't a girls age 12 size 12..or something.you might some some basics cheaper

That's a good call actually.
Yeah, I did tend to go to 'mainstream' shops like M&S etc, but did enjoy Yours and Simply Be too, for the exact reason that 22s were bloody hard to find and tended to not be cut right for a larger body.

I'd recommend M&S now - some lovely trousers reduced and I saw several 18s yesterday priced very low!
I've not tried ASOS - I think I still see it in my head as an intimidating thin and cool person site, which is probably ridiculous!

Mounjaropen · 02/08/2026 07:44

Hello everyone!

I’ve been stuck in the land of no WiFi still dealing with the major house clearance. And the very strange world of FB marketplace And there’s still a way to go 😩😩😩😩
I’ve also been supporting my friend who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a few weeks ago but after her lumpectomy it seems like it has been caught early and after some radiation therapy, she is going to make a full recovery which is wonderful news. Interestingly, the cancer nurse advised her that after the treatment that she needs to ‘focus on exercise’ to keep herself well for the future. I’ve said I’ll go to Pilates regularly with her after her treatment ends.

Back at home now for a while as I’d booked a fancy wine dinner with the chef Nathan Outlaw on Friday. Was fab. He’s such a lovely chap too. And I wore a lovely new black drop-waisted dress which frankly looked very similar in style to the one I wore to my sixth form dinner and dance in the 80’s 😆

Weight is hovering around 135lbs and I’d like to get back to 132lbs by the end of next week as it’s gonna be my first wedding anniversary! Where has the year gone? I actually booked last weekend the honeymoon we would’ve had last year if DH hadn’t have been booked for heart surgery.. so we’re off to The Champagne region for a few days tasting, eating and touring. Might make use of the lovely spa at the hotel too. I’ve bought a couple of dresses from a local boutique which I envision myself wafting around Reims in (reality might look somewhat different mind you 😂)

I’m up to 455 Pvolve classes completed since we all embarked on this journey 💪 This week as the temperature has dropped I’m considering getting back to using the weighted vest on my treadmill walks and I’m still attending at least one Lagree class per week which has been great for my strength. Not so much tennis lately as it’s just been too hot and there is no shade on any of the courts. Back at that this week too.

I’ve been religious in using my red light face mask and body wraps 5X pw for the past couple of weeks. Going to give it 8 weeks before I comment, but I think I’m seeing a slight improvement in my upper arms. Stomach and inner thighs have a long way to go though. I’m using the This works red light serum to complement the sessions. I’ve also just started using their Neck and décolletage serum so will report back on that. I’m using the wraps on my head too in the hope it’ll stimulate hair growth.

Diet wise, this week I’ve gone back to first principles- absolutely no UPF’s (Cheerio to cheeky Cadbury treats even) and my OMAD plan focusing on protein intake. I’m having a full routine NHS blood screen shortly to check all is well (including bone count) as part of my HRT review but my BP was ‘spot on’ according to the GP which is great. I look back at this time two years ago and I was a completely different person both physically and mentally and very probably deluded about how much I was actually eating. I definitely was not taking care of myself properly. It’s been a long time coming to put myself first for a change after years of parenting and caring but observing how our parents fared by adopting an almost exclusively sedentary lifestyle relying on all sorts of medication has been enough for me to know I want a different outcome for me in my later life.

I hope everyone has been keeping well and I’m going to catch up on all of your news today! 🥰

Hello! I’d take your one patch over my huge deflated balloon tummy 😂

My next door neighbour went on the pills.she Put on 7lbs over two weeks as you start on the lowest dose. She’s going to move up doses now but you have to take them first thing and have nothing to drink for at least 30mins after taking them. That alone for me probably wouldn’t work. I like a coffee within 5 mins of waking 😂

Oh I love ASOS .I paid £10 to have free delivery and returns.
But last winter gone ,I bought and kept a size 16 bommer jacket, when I definitely wasn't size 16...so there has been a lot of back and forth, because their own make clothes do come up big .

I remember the humiliation in Evans ,when I'd had my baby And i was a size 20 (so baby is now 28 years old )
Mother in law decided to take me shopping for clothes
Back then there was only Evans anyway
She walked in to the shop ,and said in a really loud voice to a sales assistant
" Right ,we need the biggest size you've got "
I remember slinking after her bright red saying " I don't need the biggest size "
I don't think I went back after that ,I'm sure that influenced me never buying from there

Love a bit of PDRN and absolutely read it as PORN every time!
I had some neck chat with my hairdresser earlier and she said the Trinny London neck stuff is really good, so that's going on the list when I've used the thousand other products I already own.

In the interest of this thread, I have tried the following:

Prai neck cream – would recommend
Micro needling at home – going to up my consistency on this over the coming weeks.
This works Neck and décolletage serum - it’s only been a week so far, will report back in 6 to 8 weeks time
HIFU - had at least five sessions before my wedding this time last year, made bugger all difference on any part of my body treated so save your money
Nuface microcurrent device – as with any of the electrical stimulus or frequency treatments, you can’t actually use them on the part of the neck that might be of concern I.E.the front of the throat due to the location of the thyroid gland. Again, I need to be more consistent with this over the next six weeks
Sarah Chapman facial roller– as with the micro needling and microcurrent device, I need to be more consistent with this over the next six weeks in order to ascertain if there is any difference or not.

Other non-neck related treatments I have tried include the massively expensive Murad retinal body cream (£89) – absolutely no effect.

As I’ve documented on here for the past one and three-quarter years, I have been mindful of my protein intake, water intake and have been strength training since the off, but I do think in the early days of MJ I didn’t have enough intake of protein to match the pace of my weight loss. If I had my time again, I would definitely concentrate on this. I also think genetics has a place in all of this as my mother had a terrible Turkey Neck and I’ve never really had a defined jawline underneath my chin where it meets the neck.

Top marks for the vivid description 🙌😂
