Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we spring into spring not obsessing over Easter Eggs for the second year 🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W68 D6 and on w12 of 2.5mg maintenance dose.

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far at lowest weight was 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0) maintenance has seen 4 of those pounds go back on.

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style/vinted chat too 🤗

I was exactly the same. I’m resigned to the fact it’s 5mg weekly forever more for me. Back to feeling at full strength 💪

Oh really? I’m so glad it’s not just me. How do you feel without it, what feels different?

I was worried about depression listed as MJ side effect but for me it’s quite literally the opposite.

@PinkArt Wow that’s amazing! Well done!

lovealongbath · 18/07/2026 08:31

not weight related at all, but I spotted this beauty bargin if anyone is interested…..

Full price of contents is over £260
use code MSE10 and it brings it down to £45. I bought 2 and bought separately to get best deal.

I've had a tricky few months and the scales have crept up a couple of pounds so I'm going to focus on a strict diet for the next week and get on top of it again. I'm always scared of spiralling again. I'm on 5 every 10 days and was considering reducing but I'll give it longer!

flametrees · 18/07/2026 15:28

Hi everyone
it’s been a hell if a time!
How are we all enjoying the heat?
I’m currently sitting at 8 8.
working on improving health.
im still on 10mg. But take it every two weeks or so now. It was over two weeks the last one.
still very little appetite but trying to make decent choices.
I’ll read over now.

Goldleafcat · 23/07/2026 06:15

We already knew this, but good to see it confirmed:

It’s such a fabulous medication, but sadly there are some drawbacks! Just wish this wasn’t a side effect.

I’m still on my minoxidil, 1.25, no dodgy side effects thus far thank goodness (14 months now).

After my big loss a couple of weeks ago, my weight went in the wrong direction and I was feeling really fat and sluggish with it. No particular factors for piling it on. Is weird getting used to a relatively small fluctuation making clothes feel wrong and noticing changes in my body. Where before I could fluctuate loads without really noticing.

Anyway this morning it is all gone, back to my low. Just in time for a wedding this weekend.
Will be seeing a lot of people who haven’t seen me since my sisters funeral 30-40kg ago.
Next week I complete on my flat. It’s all go.

So interesting to hear where people are with maintenance and the levels your taking.
ive ordered 12.5 as I felt I needed to move up with my gain, now its gone again im not sure if I want to.

Yes I would agree with this - I could fluctuate by a good 10lbs previously and not really notice! Glad you’re back to where you want to be ready for the wedding. I’m sorry to hear about your sister. 💐

Good luck with the flat! So exciting!

Re: 12.5mg, you can count 48 clicks to get 10mg, which I think will also get you 6 doses out of the pen (the old style ones, anyway).

PinkArt · 24/07/2026 09:45

Weighing in
W90D7
SW: 19st 9lbs
CW:12st 04bs
1st GW: 17st 13lbs
2nd GW: 15st 4lbs
3rd GW: 13st 9lbs
4th GW: 11st 4lbs
TL: 7st 05lb

Slightly miffed there's no official change this week as I was two pounds lighter on Monday! But that is the joy of fluctuations.

jay55 · 24/07/2026 09:52

PinkArt so mean of the scales to not reflect correctly on weigh in day. I swear it’s a conspiracy.

Ive tried counting clicks in the past and get frustrated, lose count and end up jabbing the lot with a grimace. Saxanda was so much easier for counting clicks. We need bigger intervals or smarter pens, forget that don’t need another price increase

Hi all! Been a while, after I changed my phone and lost access to my account. Hope everyone's well.

Pleased to say I rang the target klaxon a couple of weeks ago - sitting at 8 stone, 3lbs at 5'2, so a BMI of 21. Still on 15mg, so about to move to maintenance with Oushk on my next pen. Plan is to sit on 15 for a while, then very gradually taper down. I'm realistic about needing to stay on it in some way forever, but would certainly prefer not to pay the amount I am now for the rest of my life.

Did anyone struggle with a certain feeling of emptiness when hitting target - a kind of 'wtf do I do now?' feeling? This has been the longest running goal I have ever had (28 years, I guess, since I went on my first diet out of a magazine when I was 16) and it's almost frightening not to have it anymore.

I used to take exception to people getting all concerned about the 'addictive' side of WLI, but I can kind of see now how weight loss in itself can be hard to give up. Although never seriously tempted, there was the thought of 'ooh I could reset my target for another 7lbs', simply to continue the safety of 'the project'.

I'm now working on body recomposition and weight training. Calories up, Caroline Girvan on. I'm realistic about myself- I need a goal to feel fulfilled, so this can be my next one. Z bloody weird position to be in though!

LindtCurves · 24/07/2026 21:58

@PresidentBarklett actually find it very liberating, not having to think about weight or what to eat. I have been the same weight and size for 12 months now, and focusing on finetuning nutrition, i.e. how to get more of certain nutrients in, how to eat more veg, where to find zinc etc. So maybe you can just refocus your body/health goals if you feel like they help you? If you need numbers, what about a visceral fat goal, or muscle mass goal?

It's nice not having to think about weight/health/appearance, and dedicating that headspace to other kinds of projects and goals entirely, e.g. businesses, books, fitness challenges.

Your progress is amazing, keep it up!

Congrats!! Well done on getting to goal 🎉

A lot of what you’ve said here resonates with me. It’s hard once we reach goal - both in terms of coming to terms with our new selves and readjusting our mindset on what we need to achieve now. Weightloss is absolutely addictive.

My original goal was to be 11 stone which would take me to a BMI circa 25 but I’m now at 9 stone - never expected to get below 10 stone so it’s been a bit of a surprise (unusual circumstances here where I’ve been stressed and not in a usual pattern of eating etc so not sure 9 stone is necessarily sustainable long term!). 7.5 stone off since I started on MJ (and 11+ stone off from my very heaviest). Who is this new person?! Can I trust myself not to pile it all back on? Am I only living on borrowed time enjoying my smaller wardrobe?

I’m with Oushk and looking at maintenance with them too. Think I’ll need Mj for life as I’m constantly reminded of how much better things are on a daily basis. The energy, emotional and physical freedom, the joy of being able to buy clothes in any shop should I choose to, the list goes on.

Like you I’m trying to increase my calories and have started back at reformer Pilates. I need to work on the strength training, but finding time at the moment is a challenge to do that too. I must look at Caroline Girvan!

Goldleafcat · 28/07/2026 19:07

Ooh there’s 20% off at Space NK by the way for those who may be interested…

I’ve restocked my Niod eye serum and Medik8 liquid peptides (Medik8 also have 20% off at the moment direct on their website). Have also braved buying the Airwash dry shampoo I’ve seen recommended on Mumsnet, hope it lives up to the price!

Oceangrey · 28/07/2026 20:57

Hi all
I'm still on 12.5mg and oscillating around 10st 3lb as I have been for most of this year. Which is BMI 25.1 or something so basically fine but would now like to lose a bit more. However, I've not been feeling much effect from the drug. I guess enough to keep me in maintenance but not to lose.

I experimented last week with injecting half and then another half later in the week, which was fine. Then this week I did the whole lot at once and have felt more suppression than I have for a while. I guess I need to experiment!

Re: Caroline Girvan - do not make the mistake I made a few months ago and throw yourself into a 70 minute full body workout, assuming you will be fine. She is brutal! I clearly remember merrily hoisting weights around, thinking 'god, I'm just naturally really GOOD at this?!' - oh, the hubris. I literally couldn't move for days.

This time round, I've gone for her Iron series on YouTube. Much more carefully structured 6 week plan and only 30 minute sessions (5 per week), focusing on different muscle groups each time. I have some soreness after most sessions but nothing insurmountable and its more that good, satisfying soreness of you know what I mean.

I will say, it makes you feel fucking phenomenal, lifting weights, once you hit a certain point in the 30 minutes. A complete high.

Hi ..just saw this thread ,while trying to find a different one
I was on this one when it started in Nov 24
Can't remember my user name then though
I didn't last long with you all , because I had such a lot to loose ,and I joined the thread for people who had 10 stone or more to loose.
But anyway, just came back to say hi ,and since I started I've lost over 12 stone
But unfortunately still have more to go ..
But the end is in sight
So hi ..and hope you didn't mind me popping in x

I did the opposite and abandoned the 10 stone + group as it felt less supportive than this one. Maybe because I I technically 'only' had about 8.5-9 to lose!
Welcome back and wow.

Can't remember. Forever ago! But there's only 15mg above where I am now.

I do the Caroline Girvan 20 or 30 min dumbbell workouts on YouTube, those are manageable. I listen to podcasts at the same time.

It took me a very long time to disclose my starting weight and current weight.

A lot of you must all be on maintenance by now
I'm still wanting another 3 stone of .
But I will stop if the skin is getting too bad ,as I definitely don't have the money for skin removal.
So just taking it a week at a time really .
I was on 15 mg monjroro and dropped down to 10 mg at last pen ,but definitely struggling on 10 mg ..so probably go back up a bit next time

I have a fair bit of loose skin. The overhead lights in the Primark changing rooms were particularly unforgiving today. I looked like a scrotum and a windsock had a child. I'm trying not to care 😅

I've lost 9 stone, so it would have been daft to assume I'd get away scot free. To be honest, I think I did get off quite light on the whole, when one considers what it could have been! My arms and inner thighs are not good, but my stomach is oddly not terrible.

I'm lifting weights and moisturising like I've developed a fetish - apparently its not unheard of for some of it to get sucked back in after a year or two. No way of knowing whether will get lucky with that, but my upper arms are only visible in a heatwave and, clothed, you could never tell that there was anything amiss with my thighs at all, so I'll take it. It's 100% worth it.
