Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we spring into spring not obsessing over Easter Eggs for the second year 🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W68 D6 and on w12 of 2.5mg maintenance dose.

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far at lowest weight was 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0) maintenance has seen 4 of those pounds go back on.

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style/vinted chat too 🤗

Thank you @Cantbesure @PinkArt @Mounjaropen

I think there’s a combo of literally being on the go the whole time combined with stress and not feeling hungry due to the above - I am consciously making an effort to eat (and eat well, not just rubbish) which is easier now we have the house back to ourselves (tonight I cooked M&S Greek style chicken thighs and made a lovely salad to go with - I seem to be naturally going for a bit of a keto vibe and am happily having full fat dressings / olive oil etc) (but tonight I had some of DS crinkle
cut chips to help!)

I am just hoping when things happen (he’s on the super urgent list) ( not sure why the terminology is so Gen Z 🤭) (super!) it goes ok. Cannot face the conversation with DS if it doesn’t work out.

Oh @goldleafcat that all sounds incredibly stressful.

Checking in from glorious Portugal! Delighted at how much easier it is to be a size 10 in 30 degree heat. Sadly, one of my girlfriends had to pull out of our trip at the last minute due to being told on Friday she has cancer. Sharp reminder to grab life at every opportunity and not put off the joyful things.

One interesting development is that I am suddenly attractive to biting beasties. I've never suffered from bug bites abroad - it's always DH that gets eaten alive! This weekend i am an all you can buffet for the pesky little buggars though! My face in particular - I have 8 bits across my cheeks and forehead and great big one on my nose. Tips for making them look less like massive zits please!

Oh and nobody looked twice (or even once) at my mounjaro pen going through security. The Frio wallet has worked a treat too.

Enjoy your Sundays skinny minnies and sending love and gentle hugs to anyone who finds today difficult.

Checking in

It’s been rather fraught here so I’ve only been a lurker lately but lovely to read all your updates and progress. 🩷

DH had to have terrifying emergency surgery when everything went tits up the other weekend. Thankfully he is now awake but still delirious and imaging all sorts of nonsense, hoping it passes in the next couple of days. Next steps are a transplant.

MIL (yes that one) came up last week and has been staying here, she’s been a right twat if I’m honest and thank goodness she went home yesterday. Just been making everything harder and it’s all about her. My BIL and partner said the same. A friend suggested she’s a vulnerable narcissist and from a brief google they’re spot on! The house feels so much calmer and relaxed now.

Stress is obviously the key driver for weight loss for me - yesterday I was down to 9 stone 0.8!! Finally though everything is green on the smart scales (I did wonder if it would ever happen!) and it’s given me a metabolic age 4 years younger than my true age. I definitely don’t want to lose anymore weight though (and wouldn’t mind putting some back on) so am making an effort to up the carbs and I’m going to start counting clicks next week to reduce my dose from 12.5 to 10mg.

Hopefully maybe this is a good foundation weight for me now to build muscle as I’m definitely now needing to be in my maintenance era.

Hope everyone is doing ok. It’s Friday!

This all sounds terribly stressful. Hope your DH is recovering now, and oh wow is the “next step is a transplant” familiar! Sending all my empathy your way, and I hope your MIL gives you a lot of space for a good, long time. Xx

Oh darling, it’s a lot. Keep looking after yourself, and I hope the Gen Z “super urgent” list moves super fast. Xx

Yes - live as best you can, when you can! Glad you’re having a lovely time abroad, and I hope your friend’s prognosis is good.

Checking in from maintenance, and I only have sodding COVID this glorious summery weekend! It’s not been too bad, but I’m easily tired and every time my paracetamol wears off I can feel my throat’s still sore. I’ve had to bin off my social plans this weekend and have just waved DH off to drink in a nice pub garden with friends, as I don’t want to be a Father’s Day Typhoid Mary!

Hope all you skinnies are having a much more energetic day/weekend!

If they itch, hold a hot spoon on them. Antihistamine tablets and cream. Skin calming products - any k beauty stuff with cica in should help.
Bugs love me and I'm also allergic to bites, which is a very fun combo.

Thanks @pinkart will search out some antihistamine tablets today - the cream I've been using is rubbish so will try your hot spoon!

It really does reduce the itching. Just make sure it's hot rather than boiling as adding a burn wont help. It's an incredibly odd feeing when you put it on but the relief after is amazing.
I have a bit of a Mick Dundee attitude to Dr Google pages about insect bit allergies - 'call that a reaction!'. Mine have been saucer sized before so I'm all over anything to make me less inclined to just pull am arm off.

RayonSunrise · 24/06/2026 15:03

Hello (hot!) skinny bitches, how are those in the south holding up in these red heat warning conditions? I am so glad I’m carrying a lot less of me around right now. 🥵

I’ve found a really good strapless bra (best I’ve ever had - amazing what a proper fit does for how supportive they feel), so today I am wearing a top with teeny tiny spaghetti straps. This NEVER happens. I have always restricted myself to bra strap friendly summer tops, so this feels really quite liberating!

Keep cool all, hope you’re enjoying a few icey drinks today. 🍹

DarkForces · 24/06/2026 18:03

I was just thinking about this. It's hot and humid here so I'm not loving it but I'm so much more comfortable than I'd have been when I was obese. Also I can slip on a summer dress and feel good. Another nsv!

jay55 · 25/06/2026 11:37

I do hope we’re all feeling a bit smug that we’re facing the heat at our current skinny weights and not blobby 18 months ago weights.

I’ve gone in to the office all week to enjoy the aircon and being able to walk in the heat to and from the station without stopping/dying has been amazing. And I’m sweaty but far less sweaty that I would have been.

Am keeping an eye on the ozempic pill option, if it’s a significant saving I might give it a go for my last 10kg, with the view to maintenance on pills being easier. With my savings about to be vaporised by my flat purchase I’m a bit more budget conscious than usual.

PinkArt · 25/06/2026 14:25

My skinny isn't your skinny (yet) but it does feel so much more comfortable than two summers ago.

PinkArt · 26/06/2026 11:32

No change but I don't think there will be until the weather is less insane. The rain that's forecast over the weekend should see me come back down to a human temperature and my body less keen to hold onto all the water!

jay55 · 27/06/2026 15:00

I’ve had a big loss this week, down 1.5kg. Still .5 above my pre holiday weight though.
Think it’s a combo of sweating, too hot to eat and an unexpected period.

Had an email from medexpress about wegovy pills, saying higher doses, in line with my current jabs will not initially be on sale in the Uk and have 10% off your next order to mitigate disappointment.

If I were to switch I’d want to start at the bottom I think, to manage side effects and work out what a good dose for me is. But it’s interesting and I think there must be high demand.

PinkArt · Yesterday 01:09

Urgh you big small show off! I've managed the epic sweating but my body is clinging to water like the concept of taps hasn't been invented yet.

Oh yes, it’s the Panache Alice strapless bra. I went to Bravissimo because I felt my band needed to be smaller and wanted a fitting, and was mildly taken aback to be down to a 30FF! It’s made all the difference though.

I’d seen quite a few larger bust influencers talking up the Panache Faith as their fav summer strapless because it has a deep plunge as well, but when I tried it I definitely didn’t feel as secure. I don’t wear a lot of strappy + plunging styles anyway so went with the higher fronted Alice. No regrets at all!

Congrats @jay55, you’re doing fantastically!
