Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we spring into spring not obsessing over Easter Eggs for the second year 🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W68 D6 and on w12 of 2.5mg maintenance dose.

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far at lowest weight was 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0) maintenance has seen 4 of those pounds go back on.

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style/vinted chat too 🤗

I use this from a local Turkish(?) grocer, but I think pomegranate molasses would be similar.

Oooh thank you, will keep my eye out for that.

I know we shouldn’t comment on other threads, but continuing on the impolite boobs line I’ve had a chuckle this morning over the clothes being recommended on the “Michelin star restaurant” thread on S&B today. There’s a certain type of tasteful, natural fabrics, boxy cut clothing that often gets recommended on MN as being several rungs above high street tat, but I’ve noted before that it’s all cut to work very well on the sorts of figures who can rock a pyjamas-type coord.

If there’s one thing I’ve come to realise since hitting my lowest ever BMI, it’s that I will never, EVER suit the same clothing as a classic English pear. 😂

I’ll often look at the S & B recommendations and have a little chuckle. The fancy restaurant/going out in London ones are always particularly eventful. Everything from “ no one dresses up in London anymore/just wear a pair of jeans unless you want to look like someone from the provinces” to ridiculous oversized shapeless dresses only available seemingly in sludge colours but only cost £600which even Kate Moss would struggle to style 😂

My boobs are very impolite 😂

I 100% have very impolite boobs.

Can recommend the salad I made today.
Tomatoes, nectarines, baby cucumber, burrata/mozzarella, black olives, nice olive oil and pomegranate dressing.

Kids (and us adults) could not stop eating it.
Did some croutons too.
The deluxe burrata from Lidl is really delicious.

That sounds delicious!

I describe 'neat' figures as having 'polite boobs'! Ones that don't shout about their own arrival into a space 😂

Polite boobs 😆

Off to Mexico with the family and a cheeky weekend in the Algarve with girlfriends, complicated by a 12 hour turnaround between the 2! Thankfully the girls trip is first and very easy to pack for but it means i have to pack for them both this weekend! Oh and the girls weekend is sandwiched between London office days, so I need office outfits x 2 and 3 days of sunshine outfits in 1 carry on. Will just pick up SPF in duty free for Portugal though so that's one thing off the list.

Now this is the sort of packing dilemma that would actually keep me awake at night 😅 the trip sound wonderful, have a fabulous time!

As a tip, don’t ask your DH to pack for you. I once worked with a chap in the mid 90s who had been tasked with packing for two weeks in the Sun for him and his wife. He duly packed two cases, when they arrived at the destination, the wife discovered that he had only brought clothes for himself. His defence was that she had not been specific.😂

Omg!!! 😱 That is truly a nightmare!

Mexico suitcase is all packed, but what's worrying me is that nobody else is packed yet....so that means they'll be packing while I'm in Portugal and not able to oversee! Last time my 15 yo was told to pack for himself he neglected to include pyjamas much to the disgust of his older brother and roommate for 2 weeks 😂 I'm still unsure whether it was a deliberate move or not....🤣

So i just need to get through 4 days imof work then I can hit holiday mode.

However I am now panicking a bit about taking my mounjaro with me. I was going to jab early to avoid taking it to Portugal, but i had a pen jam yesterday - the doser stuck half way and wouldn't let me prep a full dose! So I'm very reluctant to do any count the clicks type dosing with these new pens. I've emailed Ouschk to complain so will see what happens - very annoyed tbh that I've a whole dose that might potentially be wasted. Typically I'd run out of needles for the golden dose a few weeks ago and didnt bother to stock up given the new pen design.

So, looks like I'll be taking a pen to Portugal. I've ordered a Frio wallet so hope it gets here on time, then I'll use it again for Mexico.

Those of you who have travelled with your pen - any watch outs? Any issues?

jay55 · 15/06/2026 12:29

My boobs are polite for the first time ever, and my bras are dainty. It’s a delight to see them on the airer instead of something that could launch missiles.

Oceangrey · 15/06/2026 12:47

My 32H bras look small to me, compared to the previous 36JJs. I've kept one of the old ones as a comparison! When I see Bs/Cs in shops they look so tiny - I've been at least a G since about 16.

No travel issues when I’ve done it, but I only needed to take one pen (already open) and returned before it was in any danger of running out. I kept it in my carry on with its original box with my prescription on it, and it wasn’t even taken out and looked at.

Controversially I pack mine in my hold luggage. I wrap mine in bubble wrap then place in the thermally insulated pen travel case, wrap that in a puffin pack left over from a delivery and put in the hotel fridge when I arrive.

Roll on those 4 days!

yep - I'm a 32H and had saved some from the last time I was a 32H (I am fortunate enough to have outbuildings so I can hoard in an organised manner 😂) DH says it is like a trip down lingerie memory lane. He is loving life rn. 😉

My boobs are quite neat now. They're between sizes so 30/32 D/DD. I could probably do with a new bra fitting but they're so expensive!

jay55 · 17/06/2026 12:07

Had a fire drill at work today, and I managed the stairs out at a normal speed without expiring.
luckily I was only on the 5th floor but a year ago I’d have contemplated hiding in the loo.

It's so nice isn't it? I stood and danced through a 4 hour concert yesterday and am fine today. Pretty sure I'd have struggled a couple of years ago. We will survive a fire! 🔥

PinkArt · 17/06/2026 21:49

We had a fire drill last week and I also wasn't filled with dread about walking back up to the third floor, at the same speed as everyone else.

RayonSunrise · 18/06/2026 10:03

I am still pretty chuffed at just how effortless it feels to break into a run. My legs are very appreciative of how light my body feels!

Checking in

It’s been rather fraught here so I’ve only been a lurker lately but lovely to read all your updates and progress. 🩷

DH had to have terrifying emergency surgery when everything went tits up the other weekend. Thankfully he is now awake but still delirious and imaging all sorts of nonsense, hoping it passes in the next couple of days. Next steps are a transplant.

MIL (yes that one) came up last week and has been staying here, she’s been a right twat if I’m honest and thank goodness she went home yesterday. Just been making everything harder and it’s all about her. My BIL and partner said the same. A friend suggested she’s a vulnerable narcissist and from a brief google they’re spot on! The house feels so much calmer and relaxed now.

Stress is obviously the key driver for weight loss for me - yesterday I was down to 9 stone 0.8!! Finally though everything is green on the smart scales (I did wonder if it would ever happen!) and it’s given me a metabolic age 4 years younger than my true age. I definitely don’t want to lose anymore weight though (and wouldn’t mind putting some back on) so am making an effort to up the carbs and I’m going to start counting clicks next week to reduce my dose from 12.5 to 10mg.

Hopefully maybe this is a good foundation weight for me now to build muscle as I’m definitely now needing to be in my maintenance era.

Hope everyone is doing ok. It’s Friday!

Technically a gain this week but it's been fluctuating all week so I think that one's just down to not having had enough water. Onwards and downwards for the week ahead.

Cantbesure · 19/06/2026 17:33

Oh my goodness @Goldleafcat what a terribly worrying and stressful time for you. I’m glad the MIL has left she sounds like the last thing you need.

I am still taking 2.5mg every 10-12 days and it seems to be working. I’m just below the bottom of my target range now with a BMI of around 22.2. I’m planning to finish my 5mg pen, taking 2.5mg which means I have 8 doses left. That should take me until early September and then hopefully I can come off (again!).

PinkArt · 19/06/2026 17:43

I'm so sorry @Goldleafcat , I missed your post when I updated earlier. Sending hugs.

Well this is not the way we’d want you to get to 9st at all. Sending you all the love during an incredibly stressful time. Make sure you look after yourself as well as your DH. And your MIL sounds like my own mother, sadly. At some point she’ll do something so outrageous no one will be able to ignore the behaviour. 😘
