Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we spring into spring not obsessing over Easter Eggs for the second year 🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W68 D6 and on w12 of 2.5mg maintenance dose.

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far at lowest weight was 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0) maintenance has seen 4 of those pounds go back on.

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style/vinted chat too 🤗

The irony of Hollywood movies and the disdain for people wanting to look better / younger!

Speaking of injectables, I had my Botox done at lunchtime, my third time. After a chat with the lady who does it, I am now also considering polynucleotides again. I was scared off them after reading the Mumsnet ‘polynucleotides gone wrong’ thread but coming around to the idea again now. I’m wondering if the people who had a terrible result had dodgy practitioners who used the wrong product / filler or administered incorrectly? I do trust the lady I go to (she is an anaesthetist).

In terms of my experiences with Botox - the first time I had it done I was paranoid I’d look like Spock, and I did find the forehead sensation odd at the beginning. I was also surprised at how uncomfortable the injections are (used to the ease of MJ!). But overall I was pleased with the results and the second time was much easier. I’m only having it done roughly every 6 months.

I've been considering having a few more tweakments...not sure what but feel like my skin could do with a bit of a boost. Of course I might just need a good old fashioned facial and a stint of angelic eating & water consumption....

SerenePeer · 21/04/2026 20:10

Hey death jabbers. Reporting in from sunny Soho. I seem to be ravenous this week - anyone else? In fact, I was so food orientated over the weekend that I eeked a bit more out of the bonus dose and jabbed nearer 8.5mg. Doesn't seem to have had an impact yet though as I've been hungry Horace today.

I did see a thing on Instagram "5 signs you're about to lose weight/see a whoosh" and one of them was feeling hungrier (along with feeling puffy/flabby and convinced you're bigger...yup, tick and tick!)....not sure I believe it and worried I'm absolutely kidding myself though!

Off to see if AI can verify or dispute the claims...

LindtCurves · 22/04/2026 06:35

@Goldleafcat seems like I need to read that polynucleotide thread! I’ve been thinking about getting it but worried it actually won’t make any visible difference - which I know it’s not meant to but still…

what are you looking to address with it?

It would be mainly to help with the area under my eyes. I have some fine lines slowly forming (previously only visible when smiling) so am hoping to alleviate those. The doctor didn’t think filler would be appropriate at this stage.

There are so many options out there, it’s a bit of a minefield. Hard to know what would help or make things worse!

I have recently had a bit of a lightbulb moment with regards to my own body. From when I was 13 I realised my thighs were so much chubbier than my friends. When I was 17 / 18 I was around my current weight (and lighter than some of my friends) but I could never understand how despite me having a slim frame (lovely flat tum etc) my thighs were wobbly and flabby and I hated them. Also the same issue with my upper arms to an extent. How could many of my friends have normal legs yet I had cellulite and flabbiness? It was by chance an instagram reel came up about lypoedema… and then obviously the algorithm spots you’ve watched something on that and gives you more related content. And woah - the condition seems to 100% match! I also bruise really easily. All these years and I had no idea… 🤦‍♀️

Gosh, that’s amazing you’ve discovered it.

Re:Polynucleotides, my friend has had this for a long time from an aesthetician to the celebs and swears by it. I’ve got terrible eye bags since childhood so I know it won’t do anything for me - I need surgery 😭

I think it deffo helps with looking fresher. Just choose the practitioner wisely.. obviously avoid if you have keloid skin because your reaction could be abnormal.

Has anyone seen that there has been a (very small - 34 people) research study on GLP dosing intervals? The cohort dosed every 2 weeks and continued to either lose weight or maintain. The researchers were looking at how this regime (if it works for the majority) would make the drug more affordable.

Sounds interesting- the only sticking point will be prescribers insisting that it’s a weekly injection or back to 2.5mg for you…!

@Mounjaropen @Goldleafcat Yes there’s definitely gore, especially in the later scenes.

I did certainly feel there was criticism of Ozempic/MJ, as well as perhaps all the beauty injectables now available.

In the film she has to go back into her ‘old’ body every other week and the two bodies develop a very animosity-driven relationship. So I did wonder how I’d feel if I had to live every other week as obese Lindt, and wondered if anyone else had thought of that in the context.

What’s Landman like? I started watching it but it starts with a kidnap/ torture scene and is supposed to have a lot of rough, unpleasant characters, so thought ‘maybe not now’

Landman is awesome. Violent in places but the overall story arc negates it.

absolutely lusting over Demi in the latest season in a Roksanda Maite dress in pink/raspberry. It’s to die for as is all of her wardrobe Tbf. I’d also happily swap bodies with Ali Larter who is my latest muse 😂

Hello fellow death jabbers! I have been absent from this thread for too long, it is lovely to read all your updates.

I am now at 12 stone 5lb down from 18 stone 8lb and I'd like to lose another stone and a bit to get down to about 11 stone 2lb. That would give me a good buffer I think. Interestingly my waist to height measurement is now in the very good zone so I am really pleased.

I'm on 10mg (been on it for months with a brief foray into 12.5mg which I stopped after 3 weeks as I had horrendous gastro side effects - only went up to break a stall, which it did).

So I am wondering about titrating down now in preparation for tapering off or if I should stick at this effective dose until goal? What have others done?

I’d say stick at your dose until goal then taper off. Be prepared to go back on it tho. I consider myself to have done everything’right’ when tapering off and yet the weight absolutely crept up when I was on 2.5mg. No change in exercise or diet. It obviously does something in the background for me.

Oh I miss those days!!

Oh it’s definitely addictive. I’ve been enviously watching you all continue to lose whilst I was maintaining. Im 2lbs down today which is bloody marvellous. All hail the magic of MJ. What I’m finding interesting is I can experience hunger but I don’t feel the need to immediately address it. I can think ‘oh that’s interesting. What time is it. Have I eaten. What and when should I eat?’ Instead of heading straight for the cupboard/snack box.

Hello
im back from holidays, tanned but much heavier, one deffo helps negate the other.
Have no regrets, particularly a crab spaghetti carbonara which was more crab than pasta and I will dream about for years.

I liked having some food noise while off the drugs, I liked being able to decide what I wanted for dinner with enthusiasm.
I did not like the sped up bowels.
Found it easy to rein myself in, between indulgences, having a fruit and salad day was easy enough. And I found it easy to not finish dishes when I was full or not enjoying them.
My tastes had changed on the snack front and several were discarded as disgusting.
Drank a bit much. Walked absolutely loads.

Have started weeing it all off already.
Have not jabbed again yet, want to see how I do this week with sensible options available.

Hope all well here. Well done to losers and maintainers.

Welcome back! Sounds like you’ve really cracked it with your new relationship with food 🙌

Were you on a cruise? You mention the bowels speeding up… Apparently’cruise poos’ are a thing according to one thread I read once on MN. Something about having food followed by lots of walking results in some (and I quote) ‘some cracking poos’ I’ve been a bit fascinated by this concept ever since 😆

jay55 · 23/04/2026 12:31

The first week of the cruise was constipation city, and I know it was the same for my neighbours as I heard them talking about buying fibre in the next port.
And then it went the other way. I often have that issue in Las Vegas due to the chlorinated water and it was no different this time.
Things are luckily more normal now.
Its just so interesting to track what changes as the meds leave the system, I still have suppression now, and less food noise than pre mj.

After my weight verification call with Oushk this morning. I got a call saying that 2.5 is the only dose available to me. I had sent them proof of my 7.5 from Bolt in January and told them that I’d bought pens in India. (With photo proof). Apparently India doesn’t count in their reckoning. They only recognise prescriptions dispensed in Europe.
I’ve accepted their 2.5 for now. I’m very tempted to change to Pharmalous but will see how I get on with Oushk for now.
I’ve got a mini stash of various doses in fridge that I really should make headway into.

Wow I reached goal weight and size 10 this morning! From size 20 and 15 stone to size 10 and 9 stone 7.
I have to start weaning myself off mounjaro now.
I can't believe I'm finally slim after 30 years 😐
Everytime I get a size 10 pair of trousers out I'm thinking I'll never get into those and yet here we are.
I haven't been hungry for ages, I've been living on Huel because I just don't want to eat.
People are saying goodness you look very thin now are you ok? Nobody asked me if I was ok at 15 stone and had all kinds of health problems 😂
