Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we spring into spring not obsessing over Easter Eggs for the second year 🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W68 D6 and on w12 of 2.5mg maintenance dose.

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far at lowest weight was 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0) maintenance has seen 4 of those pounds go back on.

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style/vinted chat too 🤗

Happy Friday skinny bitches! Oooft it's been a week - major leak in our shower room, looming exams for both ds, crazy work week etc etc. Weight has remained the same this week, but with so much going on some poor food habits have crept back in and I'm back to automatically reaching for chocolate when I'm stressed. Nothing like pre-MJ days, but I've caught myself doing it every day this week, so time to put a stop to that.

I did haul my wedding dress out the loft (mice - another stress!) to check for damage and of course had to try it on just to see. The skirt was hanging off me and I could have smuggled two puppies down the front of the bodice 😂 RIP boobs!

I also retrieved all my hot summer clothes. We didnt go anywhere hot last summer, so I wanted to see what I had. I think I'll be able to save a few things and reuse them this year but most of it is a size 14/16/18 so will be going on Vinted. So that's this weekends task. Have already ordered some replacement bits - a gorgeous linen dress from here https://sauths.com/products/carmen-linen-dress-in-french-plum (went for thr choocolatw brown in the end as I having a brown moment) and a collection of H&M goodies including a HunzaG wannabe bikini from &OtherStories....I will see if I love it as much as I love the HunzaG version or if I need to bite the bullet and order the original.

In beauty news, I've started using a retinol body lotion to see if that helps with some of the crepey skin on my arms. I'm also back on the collagen. Yes, countdown to summer holiday is in full swing!

Carmen - Linen Dress in French Plum

This long linen dress is here to impress. Slip into remarkable softness, and switching from “getting things done” mode to an easy-breezy holiday mood will happen naturally. It is sleeveless and breathable which will let you enjoy the hot summer days.

Oh where are you off to? Love that dress!

Shower leaks are the bane of my life… Hope you find the issue quickly! As are mice… Well done on getting into the wedding dress though 🙌 as a child of the 80s, I’d love to be able to wear some hunza g but sadly my norks are too large to even consider it 😆

Friday update for me:

weight: pretty stable this week at 133lbs which is good! And tomorrow is the day of the wedding guest Roksanda size 8 dress…🤞

Exercise: been pretty consistent except for today as I am hugely hung over from attending a champagne tasting event in London last night… Suffice to say I will not be drinking tonight🤣 I’ve played tennis, attended Lagree classes, consistently use the peloton treadmill and of course my trusty pvolve sessions. 💪

Fashion: I had a good mooch in Harrods yesterday and also a nearby Zara… I spied lots of things I have my eye on… Just need to get my old gear on Vinted to fund it all!

Beauty: apart from spending money on maintenance – nails, eyebrows etc, I’ve been quite good this week. About to embark on my annual teeth whitening, I can confirm that the murad body firming cream (90 quid!) Had no visible difference, so save your money on that one ladies

Lots of lovely things planned this weekend with the wedding of my Bestie so looking forward to wearing a lovely new outfit to celebrate the event! Hope everyone has something lovely planned for the weekend and something lovely in their Glass!

Back up a pound so I'm definitely nudging up to 7.5 from this week. I want total disinterest in the post Easter hoard!
I realised this week though that I'm now comfortably sitting within the tube arm rests. With what are very much child bearing hips, that always fees like an epic win. I noticed a while back when I wasn't squeezing in any more, but had missed that that's now progressed to just sitting between them like a normal person.

Oceangrey · 17/04/2026 13:07

I also wore some low rise (and ripped!) jeans. I think I bought them in about 2010.
I'm wearing a lot of my clothes from about then to work, I may look very dated indeed but it's nice to bring them out again!

In other news, I've stayed on 12.5mg but not feeling much actual suppression. I'm getting fairly hungry and can easily snack. So unsurprisingly I've been around the 10st 2lb mark for quite some time. I assume the medication is still helping given I've not put weight on

I've not been too bothered by that as it's 3st down and BMI marginally above 25, so it's felt like a good 'set point' to stay a while.

But, I'd like to lose a bit more now and so I need to think about how I go about that. I've thought about going up to the full 15mg but am concerned firstly about cost and secondly what I do if that doesn't really work either!

Urgh the leak has been a nightmare. Insurance company are being very difficult too. I refuse to be defeated though!

That is such an epic win 🏆 I love being able to squeeze into smaller places and not panic about being too fat for small seats.

Happy Friday All. I tried the Boditrax scan at the gym today and I have put on 3kg of muscle since I have been on maintenance - so my body fat has reduced to 25.1% (from 31.5%) and I have 'lost' another year of metabolic age! Really pleased with this.

I celebrated my fifth month at maintenance weight with a new stripey jumper. This is the first time I have worn horizontal stripes since the nineties!

I think I’d try upping your protein and water intake first and increasing your movement before going up a dose. You’re very near to the end which is a slog but you’ll get there 💪

Great news on the jeans!

I haven’t on the basis that a lot of cinema goers left early due to the gore. I love Demi Moore tho - especially in Landman. What did you think of it?

I’ve seen it advertised (and how fabulous does Demi look anyway), do you think it’s a bit of a Hollywood backlash against MJ and similar? Unfortunately my MJ hasn’t created a younger version of me called GoldLeafSue but I do live in hope!

itsnotagameshow · 20/04/2026 18:57

Hello fellow death jabbers! I have been absent from this thread for too long, it is lovely to read all your updates.

I am now at 12 stone 5lb down from 18 stone 8lb and I'd like to lose another stone and a bit to get down to about 11 stone 2lb. That would give me a good buffer I think. Interestingly my waist to height measurement is now in the very good zone so I am really pleased.

I'm on 10mg (been on it for months with a brief foray into 12.5mg which I stopped after 3 weeks as I had horrendous gastro side effects - only went up to break a stall, which it did).

So I am wondering about titrating down now in preparation for tapering off or if I should stick at this effective dose until goal? What have others done?

LindtCurves · 20/04/2026 19:02

@Mounjaropen @Goldleafcat Yes there’s definitely gore, especially in the later scenes.

I did certainly feel there was criticism of Ozempic/MJ, as well as perhaps all the beauty injectables now available.

In the film she has to go back into her ‘old’ body every other week and the two bodies develop a very animosity-driven relationship. So I did wonder how I’d feel if I had to live every other week as obese Lindt, and wondered if anyone else had thought of that in the context.

What’s Landman like? I started watching it but it starts with a kidnap/ torture scene and is supposed to have a lot of rough, unpleasant characters, so thought ‘maybe not now’

Cantbesure · 16/04/2026 12:54

Interesting to see your post @butternut123 I’ve been maintaining without MJ for 10 months and have just ordered a 2.5 pen from pharmulous. I’ve put half a stone on over the last month or so and really want to clamp down now before it becomes a bigger issue. I’ve done two half marathons over the last month so it’s not due to a lack of exercise but a lot of bad snacking habits have crept back in. I was also quite conscious of getting close to the 12 month cut off zone, so now I will be back in the system.

How hard was it to order from pharmalous please @Cantbesure? I’m really fed up with Oushk.

It was really easy. I ordered on Wednesday night about 11pm. It was approved Thursday morning. And arrived on the Friday. I was worried I would struggle to be approved as my last order was with Oushk and 10 months ago. But it was simple. I put an explanation about why I stopped and why I wanted to go back on it in my notes. I had to film a video of me in full length which then showed me standing on the scales and the weight.

it felt very strange to take my first jab yesterday. I got a bit in my head about it. But all good apart from some slight soreness at the injection site. I am definitely feeling appetite suppressed today. It’s fantastic!!

Has anyone seen that there has been a (very small - 34 people) research study on GLP dosing intervals? The cohort dosed every 2 weeks and continued to either lose weight or maintain. The researchers were looking at how this regime (if it works for the majority) would make the drug more affordable.

The irony of Hollywood movies and the disdain for people wanting to look better / younger!

Speaking of injectables, I had my Botox done at lunchtime, my third time. After a chat with the lady who does it, I am now also considering polynucleotides again. I was scared off them after reading the Mumsnet ‘polynucleotides gone wrong’ thread but coming around to the idea again now. I’m wondering if the people who had a terrible result had dodgy practitioners who used the wrong product / filler or administered incorrectly? I do trust the lady I go to (she is an anaesthetist).

In terms of my experiences with Botox - the first time I had it done I was paranoid I’d look like Spock, and I did find the forehead sensation odd at the beginning. I was also surprised at how uncomfortable the injections are (used to the ease of MJ!). But overall I was pleased with the results and the second time was much easier. I’m only having it done roughly every 6 months.
