Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we spring into spring not obsessing over Easter Eggs for the second year 🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W68 D6 and on w12 of 2.5mg maintenance dose.

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far at lowest weight was 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0) maintenance has seen 4 of those pounds go back on.

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style/vinted chat too 🤗

Hello lovely skinny minnies. Reporting in after finally dropping another lb after no movement in 2 months. Feeling quite pleased with myself though as I booked myself a full medical through work health insurance - felt like a proper grown up thing to do! The GP nearly fell off her chair when I told her I'd lost almost 5 stone with MJ and said I certainly didnt look like I used to be 5 stone heavier and was the picture of health! The nurse measuring my body fat told me it's 22% which shocked me - i still have a bit of a tummy so that confirms that the tummy is probably more lose skin pouch than fat. Considering I'm only in a bikini once a year, I think I can live with that! So positive news all round. Just need to wait a few weeks to get the results from the blood tests they did. Feel very reassured that everything is tracking in the right direction and I'm setting myself up for a much healthier journey to old age! God bless mounjaro and all who sail with her!

Congratulations on all counts! That is absolutely fantastic 🙌 so far I found that medical professionals are absolutely fascinated by my weight loss and only have good things to say about MJ. I bet your blood results will be fantastic!

They're similar to the ones in Celebrations but without having to find someone to palm all the Bounties off on!

In before times, I would’ve definitely eaten the bounties even though everyone knows they are the worst ones 😂

I think the dress is true to size - it still stuns me that my boobs fit into a size 10! I’m hovering around 9 st 10 so very similar to you, so I bet it would fit you.

Asos is a bit of a mix - I like its own brand jeans, but it’s very much on the cheap and cheerful side so can be hit or miss with other things. However it stocks loads of other brands like Topshop, Levi’s, Arket etc, and I like the styling on the website. Don’t rule yourself out of it! It does have a curve range (not that you need that now) and it also has an Hourglass range in some jeans, which caters for smaller waists/bigger hips, which I used to like a lot. Also a fuller bust range. And it does Petite.

I love a bit of ASOS these days, previously I only ever used it to buy things for my DD’s. if you stack discounts, you can often get things much cheaper too! And who doesn’t love a bit of top shop?

Well, I’m back home after visiting the mother in law (and other in law family members). My DS had a lovely time and we managed to squeeze in the beach, a castle and lots of parks.

However I was absolutely raging on Monday. After my BIL and his partner left, my MIL decided to resurrect the weight loss conversation (AGAIN! After I told her previously to stop). Grilling me about it, asking how I was feeling - I said I felt a lot healthier, and pleased to be fitter for my DS. She then said my face ‘looks different’ and pulled her own face. I asked ‘do you mean different as in worse?’, she paused for a long time then said ‘not worse, but different’. And then went on about how she worries about my DS (as in I’m risking my health by losing weight?!). I said she was rude to keep talking about my weight and body. I also asked her if she asked my BILs partner about her weight (of course she bloody doesn’t). I was so angry after, I nearly told her to piss off but managed to hold it in (not sure if I should have just told her to F off really). She used to slag me off for being fat (‘she’s a hell of a size’ ‘she’s too fat for my son’ etc). Now I’m slimmer and a healthy weight she can’t seem to stand that either and now’s she’s bloody critiquing my face?! She’s put on a lot of weight herself, but practices performative under eating (whilst later stuffing herself with crisps, cake and sweets). Whilst we were there we had a Chinese takeaway one evening, she put out a side plate for herself to use rather than a normal dinner plate. And for myself and my SIL, we were given tiny dessert forks to use (she’s been doing this shit for years). She calls them lady forks. 🤦‍♀️ I compared the size to my DS (age 3) kiddy cutlery and his fork is actually bigger (pic attached - his is on the right).

I was actually really upset after and had a little cry. I’ve had people picking at my weight and appearance since I was a child. I’m so sick of this now. I’ll be 46 this year for gods sake!

I was very happy to come home yesterday. I don’t want to see her again for a very long time.

Edited

I am sorry you have to deal with this.

If it makes you feel any better, someone in my life does the same. Every phone call starts with 'how is your health? You haven't lost more weight, have you?' as though I was a cancer patient or something.

That person seems to spend all of their time thinking about someone else's weight. What a sad way to live.

Cantbesure · 09/04/2026 22:32

Sorry you have to deal with that with your MIL @Goldleafcat I’d have told her to lady fork off!!

Goldleafcat · 10/04/2026 10:53

Thank you so much @PinkArt @SerenePeer @TheSlimmingPumpkin @RayonSunrise @Mounjaropen @Cantbesure @LindtCurves

I wasn’t sure if I was being over sensitive. I thought it was outrageous but you never know deep down and I also started my period the next day so hormones were flying about! I’m still simmering away now.

I do definitely think she is projecting her own insecurities. She is absolutely of the generation obsessed with her weight and that of everyone else. She often talks about the weight of other people. You’d think she wouldn’t given as much of a shit now she’s older but clearly not! Leopard and their spots I guess.

DH wasn’t in the room when she started on me. I told him after and he agrees she is out of order, but hasn’t told her she is out of order or to butt out. In the end he did speak to her, but only when she once again brought it up when they were waiting in the car whilst I took DS to a park later that day! Years of conditioning I expect. I told him if she does it again I’m shutting it down straight away and will tell her to stop being so bloody rude. If things escalate from there then so be it. It’s on her.

Some fabulous comebacks from you all - I especially love the ‘lady fork off’ from @Cantbesure and the retort from @PinkArt . I have saved these in my response bank!!

@Mounjaropen yes you’ve hit the nail on the head - definitely a case of ‘that’s just Maureen’. She says herself ‘you know how I am’ ‘you know what I’m like’ as a way to excuse her crap behaviour.
I’m sorry you had this with your mum, awful when the person who should be the closest to you acts in that way. @LindtCurves I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing the same with someone. It’s absolutely rubbish and exhausting.

Met up with a friend yesterday who I haven’t seen since I was heavier and she said I looked amazing and really well so that was lovely.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend

Things seem to be on the move after that prolongued plateau just above 13 stone and for a point mid week I was 12st 11, which feels delightfully close to the 7 pound milestone. Even with Easter! I realised yesterday that I've again shopped the egg sales like I'm eating in a 2024 way and now have a chocolate hoard that'll see me to next Easter, while definitely having at least one bag of mini eggs from last year still. Maybe next year I'll remember this before the 'ooooooooh discounts and shiny wrappers' part of my brain gets over stimulated.

Ok I caved and jabbed again after three months of maintaining cold turkey. Everuthing has been going so well and my target weight has been 9.10 but can creep up by 4lbs on a Monday and then is back to normal by Friday. However, we have just had a weeks holiday, am travelling again tomorrow for 5 days and then we have lots to events coming up and a holiday next month and I can feel myself picking up bad habits again. I don’t realise until this week how important a routine is for me to stabilise my eating and having time for the gym. This week away has definitely cocked my healthier eating and balance up and I had a panic. I also realised that whilst I’m happy with my weight at 9.10, when it does creep up to 10st I start to feel uncomfortable in my (now smaller) clothes and I also still have a tummy I hate she wouldn’t wear a bikini still. So I’ve started one pen ago , agreed with myself to do the 5 weeks inc bonus and try to get to 9.5/9.6 so my +4lb will take me to 9.10 where I know I’m comfortable. Let’s see how this pans out…

Good luck! I can totally understand that, it’s sounds like you’ve been doing really well anyway which is brilliant.

Which dose pen have you restarted on?

random223 · 12/04/2026 07:42

Just checking in after two weeks' holiday. Stood on the scales slightly nervously yesterday and weighed 9 st 9. My maintenance weight is supposed to be 9 st 7 so not awful as I haven't counted calories for this time but I am looking forward to getting back into a routine this week. Have enjoyed seeing the sun this week! Well done everyone on progress.

Folks who've been using collagen, what have you found is the best way to take it? Knock it back, in a drink, in food?

lovealongbath · 13/04/2026 07:43

I mix 20 g vanilla flavoured collagen, prefer it mixed into yogurt

RayonSunrise · 13/04/2026 08:11

@PinkArt Like @lovealongbath I also mix mine in my breakfast yoghurt. It changes the texture slightly, but not in a bad way - kind of makes it slightly denser/glossier. I much prefer it to putting it in coffee.

Happy Spring everyone! I’m still maintaining, and switched to Pharmulous after realising how much better their pricing is compared to Oushk. I’ve booked a maintenance call with them. Has anyone done one of their maintenance calls? I was quite keen to engage with Oushk’s but remember finding it distinctly underwhelming, and then they didn’t flag me as being on maintenance anyway…

RayonSunrise · 13/04/2026 08:13

@butternut123I agree with @Goldleafcat, you’ve done really well and I don’t think anyone can take too dim a view of you wanting to jump on any post-holiday gain! Well done on keeping your exercise going and staying on top of things.

I take the revive collagen sachets. The enhanced +ones they are quite expensive but you can usually find them on eBay for a lot less. Currently I’m paying on average about £40 a box of 28 from eBay – if I bought them directly from revive it would be closer to £75 they’re not unpleasant tasting And I don’t need to add it to any food or drink. Both my now, chap and my hairdresser have commented on my nail strength and hair regrowth. Revive is hydrolysed marine collagen.

I think the most recent experience for all of us with Oushk is at best questionable… I’ve found Pharmulous much more straightforward to deal with. The jabs turned up on time, excellent packaging and with Royal Mail..

Thanks @GoldleafcatI’ve got 2.5. I never went above this though. I’m hoping one more pen will help and just give me the headspace to get back on track.

Cantbesure · 16/04/2026 12:54

Interesting to see your post @butternut123 I’ve been maintaining without MJ for 10 months and have just ordered a 2.5 pen from pharmulous. I’ve put half a stone on over the last month or so and really want to clamp down now before it becomes a bigger issue. I’ve done two half marathons over the last month so it’s not due to a lack of exercise but a lot of bad snacking habits have crept back in. I was also quite conscious of getting close to the 12 month cut off zone, so now I will be back in the system.

RayonSunrise · 16/04/2026 15:07

Very interesting, @Cantbesure. I’m still stretching out 5mg pens and maintaining (well, very slightly losing - a couple of pounds since January, give or take normal water fluctuations).

Someone - was it Mounjaropen? - was talking about set points a while back and how you need to be at a lower weight for quite a long time before your body learns to “recognise” it as normal and stops trying to correct it. Was it 2+ years? By that standard we won’t reach that til this November.

Or I may be misremembering/talking nonsense. Please take my half-recollections with a massive grain of salt!

In other news, I have rediscovered low rise trousers. THAT wasn’t on my bingo card when I started this, but I’m enjoying it!
