Hey lovely ladies

Let’s carry on supporting each other.

OP posts:

Hello all,

im going on my first airplane holiday since starting MJ last year next week and 1. I’m excited about not struggling to put seatbelt (although the fear of buckling still sits with me) 2. Wearing a bathing suit more confidently (I have way too much baby stripes for a bikini, and now also loose skin since restarting) 3. Nervous about the All Inclusive (who would have thought 🫣😂 as in past I would look forward to it!)as eating habits is much harder second time around (food noise is not disappeared as much as first time) and I’m still not at dose I was when I first stopped , so you who have gone on holidays perhaps in maintenance have any tips , I’m thinking low carb , minding meal size etc 4. Hoping the D Vitamin will help me get some energy back (seems to have gone downhill this round)

Ingangoolie · 01/04/2026 14:18

@Fatmumslim01 sorry you’re feeling weird with it. I’m quite sad about some of my old faves and can’t quite part with them. The whole new wardrobe is a full time thing. I am constantly at the post office dropping off or collecting Vinted parcels, they don’t even ask my name now. I heard a woman in the queue in front yesterday explaining that she’s having to replace her whole wardrobe due to losing loads of weight. There’s a lot of it going on. Even Jeremy Clarkson in the news yesterday.

Ingangoolie · 01/04/2026 14:22

@Bipaloss good for you. I expect you’ll be doing stuff and be active on holiday. More than you can fit in usually? Enjoy, you can eat more fruit and keep hydrated, both will help.

I’ve been on holiday a couple of times on mj, one was an all inclusive one. I just concentrated on filling up on the high protein choices. If I fancied something, I’d have it, you’re on holiday after all. And I enjoyed a few drinks everyday for the 10days we were away. Then reset when you get home.
hope you have a fantastic holiday.

TheBossOfMe · 04/04/2026 19:49

Happy Easter, all, hope you’re having good weekends. I’d hoped to go into this one with a few pounds in the bank but it wasn’t to be for a few reasons. I’m realising I need to plan a lot more for busy work periods when I’m in the office late and have not a lot of time to cook - I tend to not eat enough all day, am starving my dinner and make crap choices. As counterintuitive as this sounds - I need to make time to eat.

@Bipaloss I have a sneaking suspection that AI works really well for us MJ people. You can control nutrient balance by protein loading at buffets, if that’s what works for you. And I’m kind of in the mentality of “fuck it” on holiday within reason. I’ve lost weight so I can enjoy life more. Not so that I can become miserable. Hope it’s a fab break x

JabbaJibba · 06/04/2026 18:12

@Bipaloss ive just returned from my 3rd AI since taking MJ and can say it is quite easy to navigate the food.

Breakfast I'd always have a slice of wholemeal toast, slice of ham, slice of cheese and a boiled egg plus some sliced tomato. Melon and then the odd croissant or 2. Oh and bucks fizz 1 day 🤣

Lunch and dinner, I'd fill up on protein and the salad bars. Our hotel had a live grill bar so chicken one day, lean bacon another. Plus a noodle bar so had that a couple of times too.

Plus lots of walking and water, I've weighed this morning and I lost 1lb last week!

Be sensible, but enjoy, it's only 1 week of a 52 week year and remember, to put on 1lb you'd have to eat an extra 3500 calories on top of your maintenance calories, so any weight increase around your return could be excess fluid due to flying or extra water from salt or carbs. Leave it a few days then weigh.

Have fun ☀️⛱️

Hi everyone, so I reached goal!! And I’ve decided to lose another kg. Anyone else finding that there’s no longer the excitement of weightloss once goal is achieved, kinda feels flat? Hope it passes soon. I built up to the moment in my head for
months and it was just meh.

Well done @northernlight20 . Great achievement! I am so over this weight loss malarkey and can relate to feeling meh.

Well done!!

I know what you mean. I've been focussing on looking at old photos of me and making sure to take new ones and compare, so I keep feeling joy in what I've achieved. I do miss the buzz of seeing the numbers on the scales go down each week.

I'm still losing slowly even as I'm titrating down because I want to be 4lbs under my goal before I come off. So aiming for 11st but we're talking less than 0.5lbs a week.

northernlight20 · 12/04/2026 10:44

Sorry ladies that you are feeling meh too, but in a way I feel relieved that I’m not alone in feeling that way about this process.

Fairfaxandflavor · 12/04/2026 11:04

Yep, another meh, plus I look like shit, loose skin, thin hair etc. Can't afford to fix it so summer will be spent in jeans and long sleeves, ha ha, I've gone from covering up the fat, to covering up the saggy skin, ffs. The only consolation is they're size 6 jeans not 16,oh and I'm constantly freezing cold, when we had summer the other day I still wore coat hat and scarf to take the dog out😂, everyone else was in t shirts and shorts.

Buscake · 12/04/2026 11:30

Hi all I’m still going without the jabs it’s been almost 6weeks now. I’m super conscious of the kcal in everything but am
maintaining so far. I’ve started small group personal training which I think will be incredible for me long term but omg it makes me hungry! My body scan to start was ridiculous and I made them redo it because i didn’t believe it - 16% body fat, high muscle mass. I am finding it really hard to come to terms with how different I look and am now. Also still freezing - just went to the supermarket in a woolly hat!

lilymty · 12/04/2026 20:58

Today I hit 127 pounds (9 stone) gone forever. Im now 23 pounds to goal which will still leave me in the overweight category but im so over jabbing now.

Ingangoolie · 12/04/2026 21:37

@Buscake @lilymty fabulous, well done to you both. Bravo. A few pounds more to go here and stalled for effing months. Will be dosing every 5 days to get to goal and a little under for insurance. And then will ease back out to weekly and then a gradual reduction. I would really like to carry on very low dose for ever with all the evidence amassing on much wider benefits. I might try to keep going as long as I can manage it.

I still have 2 stone to go and have been faffing for months. Was 9’8 mid December and have been hovering around 10 since January.

is there any plateau advice?

i seem to have found some focus sincce Easter and am doing OMAD and some longer fasts too so hoping that will help to zoom me down the 9s. I almost can’t remember what it was like to have it falling off last summer.

that said, still 4 stone down on last year and it has completely changed my life.

I asked for advice
on here, as always people were so helpful.
i was advised to increase exercise & calories for a few days as it may kickstart my metabolism…i have also used 7.5 for maybe 2/3 months so perhaps need to increase dosage.
Good luck I’m sure you will reach your goal.
🙏🙏🙏🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Sorry I should also say people suggested increase water intake.

5 months after stopping MJ I am still maintaining my weight loss.
i lost 25% of my body weight over 8 months, 200lbs down to 150lbs.
Looking at lifestyle changes, i eat smaller portions and just don’t snack.
my meals are mainly protein based.
i don’t deny myself a treat if i want one, but find I rarely want sugary things or cake.
MJ was so beneficial for me, and I feel a lot better physically. As the seasons change I am having to buy new clothes on Vinted to replace my size 18s with size 12s.
At 60 I have a little bit of loose skin, but I prefer that to the extra weight.

Bipaloss · 15/04/2026 06:58

Congrats @northernlight20 amazing achievement

back from Holidays and you all should have seen the shock on my face when I put on the seatbelt ! 5-6 inches (possibly more) is how much more I could tighten it , also could cross my legs (bulk head seat)!!!! I jabbed the night before and started of bloated 🤣 so the bathing suit effect wasn’t there for a couple of days but first time in many many years I did walk around the pool and beach without a coverall with confidence, amazing feeling

allowed myself to eat what I wanted and came home having gained 2kg (about 5 lb) BUT TOTM also arrived 9 days early on the day I was flying home and already down almost 1kg a day later, so think I will be back on track in a few days

another 2 weeks on 7.5 mg (total of 6 weeks) and then moving up to 10mg which was where I was loosing steadily first round for two pens but planing 6 weeks this time around before I continue up to 12.5 (my last finishing dose) . I’m still not where I finished last time (2-3 kg away) but hoping as I get close to dose that I stopped last that the weightloss accelerates a bit as I still aim to be at goal in October (2st/15 kg to go)

Thankyou for posting this, you have done so well not just to lose the weight but also keeping it off.

DeftGoldHedgehog · 15/04/2026 14:01

Well done everyone. Two months after coming off I'm about 4lbs over the weight I was maintaining on 15mg and pretty stable. I'm being very careful and trying to eat high-ish protein and high fibre, more so than when I was on MJ (when I could actually get away with anything as long as the calorie figure was right) and continue to weigh myself two or three times a week.

Coming off I had terrible sugary cravings but that seems to have settled down now. I actually make sure I have two portions of fruit a day (with 5+ of veg) and a little chocolate (would like to say I just have dark chocolate but am also fond of tiny Dairy Milk bars) as actually otherwise my sugar intake can be on the low side most days as I don't have a lot of carbs.

Raspberries have become very much my friend and bananas are of course great before exercise. Exercise is actually so much easier off Mounjaro. I hadn't run for ages (but do cardio and weights in the gym) and just ran for an hour the other day, I haven't run like that in years and I am 50 so not exactly a young thing. Of course it's the weight loss but the Mounjaro was holding my fitness back- I didn't realise at the time as I felt no less fit than I had at 13 stone odd when losing but now without it it's like I can really feel the benefit of the weight loss in the gym. Plus as I say, my diet is actually better than it was on Mounjaro, as it has to be! I was doing intervals running on the treadmill in the gym last night going between 7km/hour for a minute and 9km/hour for two minutes and it almost felt like flying. I used to plod at 6km/hour on the treadmill before I'd lost weight and would have come off the back doing 9km/hour.

Have also been trying (on a non-exercise day) a 24 hour fast thing where you basically just eat dinner one day (so you fast after dinner one day to dinner the next) and it was much easier than I thought, so I'm going to do that again this week. Just trying that to see if I can do it instead of counting and tracking what I eat. Also there are other benefits than slimness.

Thanks for posting this, are you using MJ in smaller doses or have you just stopped completely?

Fatmumslim01 · 15/04/2026 18:55

Hi all, still plodding along here, weighed in at 10-1 this morning so tantalisingly close to being in the 9s which is almost unbelievable, I keep thinking I'm going to wake up and it's all been a dream.

4 and a half stone down, consistently fitting into size 12-14 now, down from a solid 20 if not a 22. I can run around with my kids now, so many wasted years to obesity and so many wasted years of me blaming myself when it was never my fault, it's a biological thing at the root of my obesity but I never knew that until MJ!

I'd like to lose another 1 or 1.5 stones then start titration down to save money (currently taking 12.5 from a 15).
