Hey lovely ladies

Let’s carry on supporting each other.

OP posts:
Fatmumslim01 · 21/03/2026 10:55

Happy one year on mounjaro to me! Feeling a bit emotional about it tbh. It's changed my life.

Looking back at my pre MJ pics I look huge but I couldn't see it then. But it wasn't just the weight that was holding me back it was everything that went around it, the food noise, the inflammation, the clutter in my head.

I feel like a weight has been lifted metaphorically off my shoulders.

I can't even begin to describe how life changing it has been. The weight loss is almost a nice side effect, it's the effect on my brain that I love the most and that has had ripple effects into other areas of my life, my confidence is massively increased, I stand taller , I feel like I've been given a new lease of life.

Here's my stats one year on MJ

Height 5 foot, early 40s
SW 14-7 BMI 40
CW 10-2 BMI 28
GW 8-13 BMI 25

TheSpoonyNavyReader · 21/03/2026 11:30

Good morning all

@Fatmumslim01 well done you are doing so well.

I have now taking 2.5 every 2 weeks, as I feel the benefits of my mind being quiet the most pleasing part of taking MJ.

I bought a dress off TiKTok shop (never again) and it’s so short that I will never wear it out but for the first time I can see how much weight I have lost.

@Fatmumslim01 and @TheSpoonyNavyReader great news both 👏👏

It’s my MJ bday today, similarly to you both, it’s the whole ripple out effects that are so welcome and want to keep going with a spaced out low dose for as long as I can to maintain all of the mind shift and inflammation benefits. Still on 2.5mg and will begin spacing out.
SW 13st 3lb with no muscle
CW 9st 3lb with muscle and strength.
BMI 22
Have accepted this as low as I want to go.

TheBossOfMe · 22/03/2026 12:33

@TheSpoonyNavyReader I don't think that dress is too short at all, you look fabulous and your legs are amazing. I think your mind maybe still has a way to catch up with your weight loss. I'm 53 and I absolutely wear dresses as short as that, even to work. If you've got the figure for it, why not?

May I ask if you finding the 2.5 maintenance dose adequate? Which dose were you on prior to? Did you plateau at all… Hope you don’t mind me asking.

GiveMeWordGames · 24/03/2026 09:22

@TheSpoonyNavyReader you look fantastic in that dress.

Well done everyone, what an inspiring group.

It's my 1 year anniversary today as a late March starter, and I can't quite believe it to be honest. I'm just over 6 stone down and at my (recently decided) target. I'm starting to titrate down slowly, about to start my second 7.5 pen after dropping down from 10 which was the highest I went.

5ft 8, 54, started March 24th.

SW 17st 4
GW 11st 4
CW 11st 2.75

Starting BMI: 36.8
Current BMI: 23.7

I'm trying to give myself a buffer zone so I'm still losing a bit while moving down through the doses. I'll probably look to be 11st before actually trying to maintain.

I'm now wearing mostly size 14 clothes although I think I'm close to a 12 in some brands for trousers etc. I've got broad shoulders and am a bit of an inverted triangle so 14 is the lowest I'm ever likely to go on top. I started at Size 22/24 in tops and a tight 20 in jeans. Boobs have gone from 42E to 36/38D.

What a year!

I know this is a possibly enviable problem to have but…

I have issues with my boobs. They’re not shrinking, like, at all. Even though the rest of me is. I started at a 40E/F and as I’ve lost weight I’ve come down around the underboob chest from 40 to 34 but the boob volume hasnt really changed at all, making me now some monstrous size up beyond an H (biggest I’ve found for trying on purposes). Im guessing that they’ll eventually come down a bit? As I get closer to goal and there is less ‘easy’/more obvious fat deposits in the rest of my body? I feel like I cursed myself by saying early on that I hoped I wouldn’t lose too much boob.

NSV in the time being. I’m an ice skater, a few weeks ago we had a big competition. In the run up, our amazing dressmaker had to make me 3 entirely new dresses for the three programs I was competing as my ones from last year were SO big on me that they were, in her words, un-alterable.

Yellowsubmarine55 · 25/03/2026 09:37

@soupforbrains mine haven't gone much either, band size has reduced from a 42 to a 36 but cup size has dropped only one.

Happy one year anniversary to me today and wow what a year we have all had. Thanks to everyone for being there and whilst I haven't posted much recently, I do read the thread.

Anyway 5st 10lb down 😳😳😳😳😳 and I love the new me. Hated clothes before but now love them and hopefully when I eventually get to goal ( only 8lb to go) I am determined to keep it all off.

Wow, well done, very impressive. I am a similar weight now and am 5'7" but had a lot less to lose. I lost it at about 1lb a week.

Am now on maintenance and over a month off (10mg last dose) Mounjaro.

SW 13st 4lbs
CW 11st 5lbs
GW 11st 0lbs

Got up to 11st 8lbs the other day and have been more careful since, tracking everything on Nutracheck. I've had some very hungry days but have mostly been ok. BMI is exactly 25 today and I'm in size 10/12 clothes. My measurements are more 12 than 10 but tens mostly fit better. I'd like to lose a bit more to have some wriggle room but not too much as I'm fairly dense (!) and muscly and feel pretty slim. I weigh myself several times a week.

Exercising is actually so much easier now. I mostly do weights/cardio/circuits in the gym as well as swimming and yoga but went for a run randomly last week and just ran for an hour easily- haven't run like hat in years. At no great pace but I just enjoyed myself!

northernlight20 · 27/03/2026 08:12

Morning everyone, this morning for the very first time in my adult life I have reached a healthy bmi. Feels very emotional, never thought it would be possible.
sw 114.4kg
cw 60.8kg
total weight lost 53.8kg.
ideally I would like to get to 58kg, as I’m only 5ft 2, but if I don’t, then I’m happy where I am.

TheBossOfMe · 27/03/2026 10:25

@northernlight20 Huge congratulations, that's an enormous milestone achieved!

@soupforbrains Great NSV! My band size has gone down a lot, but my boob volume hasn't reduced that much so I have the same issue.

Plodding along around goal - still microdosing 1.25mg for inflammation. Obviously it does nothing at all at that level for appetite suppression and I've felt hunger pangs a lot - but I keep telling myself that's normal, and watch my portion sizes so that I don't serve too large portions just because I'm hungry going into the meal. Once I've eaten a high protein lunch (first meal of the day for me), I then don't really feel hungry at all until just before dinner, which is good. Annoyingly can't exercise much right now because I've got an inner ear problem that's messing with my balance, so really having to watch what I eat, I'm only 5ft3 and at 120lb my TDEE is low, so without eating exercise calories back, its a depressingly small number of calories to consume in a day. Wine has had to go out of the window completely.

Thanks ladies, I must admit I have diet fatigue, but hopefully once I start eating maintenance calories (I’m short so won’t be much more) it will improve fingers crossed.

ok ladies, i need some help please. i got my 8 and half stone rosette from nutracheck this morning and ideally would like to lose another 4lbs, but feel i could lose more. my question is, when and how do you decide you have lost enough? i just keep pushing the goal weight back more and more and the thought of eating in maintenance frightens me even in my diet fatigue.

Fairfaxandflavor · 29/03/2026 14:08

@northernlight20 ,I don't have any real answer, but just to say I am exactly the same. The losing was easy, but I am struggling with maintaining, I know what to do, but I like not feeling hungry and focused on food like I was before. I am trying to get a few more calories in each day by eating full fat yogurt, but I don't want to give up the mounjaro, I didn't think this time last year I would be worried about being underweight.
I should have stopped about a stone and half ago, but I got on the scales and I'm a pound down today, it just feels so counterintuitive to start making the scales go up /stay the same, anyway, just to say, I know how you feel.

Wow @northernlight20 what an amazing loss! No advice but I feel the same that I keep changing the goalposts. I started at 14-7 which was a BMI of 40 (I'm only 5 foot) and my first goal was 11-7 which was my pre covid weight and I thought I would stop there. Then I got there and my goal was to fit in a certain pair of jeans, I now fit them (at a weight of 10-2) but in my head I'm still massive. BMI is now 28 so still firmly overweight.

A few people have commented that I've lost enough now but I don't feel ready to maintain yet (I don't want to stay stop as I don't want to stop mj).

I'm now thinking 8-13 is my goal as that would be a BMI of 25 but I'm also thinking maybe more like 8-7.

Basically no advice but I'm in the same boat 😂

TheBossOfMe · 29/03/2026 15:49

@northernlight20My aim was to get into the middle of my healthy BMI range - I’m fairly fit and muscular usually so down the bottom end doesn’t work for me, it would take me losing too much muscle mass. But in the middle sees me a comfortable size 6-8 (I’m short so that’s not as small as it sounds), with decent muscle density, not looking too gaunt (I lost too much in the summer madness and didn’t look that good) and with plenty of wiggle room to ensure that I’m never overweight again, I can afford a couple of pounds on and off depending on circumstances without it being an issue.

Fatmumslim01 · 29/03/2026 17:21

Had a bit of a cry this afternoon, I feel like I don't feel like "me" in a smaller body, it's all a bit of a headfuck tbh.

When people say oh you'll need a whole new wardrobe....I didn't know they meant you will actually literally need a whole new wardrobe and a few times over! I'm currently listing things on vinted that are BNWT that I dreamt that one day I would fit in to and they now look like tents on me. But equally I'm finding it really triggering and overwhelming, the amount of clothes I've got from a size 22 at my biggest and now down to a 12-14 my current size but still with a few more stones to go.

Debating whether it's worth listing on vinted or just drive the whole lot to the charity shop in the morning tbh! Maybe just stick the good brands on vinted?

I'm also finding that things are fitting for a matter of weeks and then they are too big and it's all a bit too much for my brain to comprehend tbh.

Fairfaxandflavor · 29/03/2026 17:46

@Fatmumslim01 aww sorry you feel sad, it is overwhelming though, I have audhd and the chaos with the clothes is real lol, I haven't bought many brand new new things apart from underwear and I cannot get the bra size right at all, I've discovered buying vintage is nice, I can afford nicer clothes than I wore before, I have got to have a purge soon though its ridiculous, I think it will be charity shop I can't be bothered with listing them.
I think for you, have a couple of piles and be ruthless, one for charity, one for listing if they're new. I was a size 16 for so long I never really thought about it before, and I'm petrified of throwing out all the size 16 only to find ill need them again.

northernlight20 · 29/03/2026 21:07

Thanks ladies, good to hear that I’m not alone in deciding goal weight. Think I will aim for bmi of 23 which means a few more pounds lost to give me some wiggle room. Also, going to start titrating down from 12.5mg to hopefully a low dose I can maintain on.
@Fatmumslim01 sorry you are feeling sad, I understand what you mean. I’ve gone from a size 22 to a size 8 to 10, and I just can’t wrap my head around it, hopefully in time, we’ll get used to the change and the brain will have caught up.
