Hi Everyone. I haven’t been on for a little while. I’ve missed a lot! Things were stalling a bit for me on 3.75mg so I went up to 5mg and that seems to have done the trick and no side effects thankfully. I don’t want to go higher than 5mg if I can help it though. Ive kind of lost interest in what I eat though. I just don’t fancy anything, even if I’m hungry. I haven’t had much in way of veg, protein and stuff. Just eaten what I usually would. I’ve missed a few meals, having just cereal as a substitute.
Hearing about the side effects you are having definitely puts me off increasing.

My understanding is that side effects can get better/area minimised if you are eating more protein and eating clean etc but this definitely doesnt work for all. My nausea was also helped by eating more regularly and keeping some savoury snacks such as the marmite graze bites to hand to just have a small amount when I felt a bit sick. I ate small amounts but more often to help.

Finally seen a new number on the scales again today! It will probably fluctuate up again over the weekend as I always record my lowest weights during the week but at least it feels like some very slow progress is being made. And I am no longer in the obese category. Tried a split dose this week so will see whether that effects the weekend and hopefully gives me more consistent suppression.

Great progress @Springbaby2023 ! Bet it feels good to officially be out of that obese bracket. There’s 10 more lb to go before I can celebrate that milestone

I’ve also finally seen 13 stone 7 after bouncing around 8-9 for three weeks.

I agree that I find eating little and often is the most helpful. I try to follow the 80/20 rule and eat low upf most of the time.

SexyFrenchDepression · 27/02/2026 10:23

Amazing @Springbaby2023 thats brilliant.

My PT app takes my weight info for the week and calculates it as an average, I much prefer taking the lowest weight 😂

@TaffyTabby its so nice getting to the half stone milestones isnt it!!

user593 · 27/02/2026 14:08

That’s amazing progress @Springbaby2023! I have a while to go before I even get out of Obese III 😅

I’ve lost 2.8lbs this week which I’m happy with. This month has been extremely frustrating because of lots of short stalling but overall I’ve actually lost an average of 2.6lbs per week (so my app tells me!) so I think I need to just relax and go with it. I might stop daily weighing, although I do look forward to it every morning. Feels like a little lottery win if the numbers go down, but I’d be less aware of the stalling if I didn’t do it. Total lost now is 3st 13.9lbs, so close to 4st!

Thats incredible!!

I had to stop weighing daily, it stressed me out the going up and down and would make me worried about what I was eating, even though it was fine. I weigh on Sat and Tues now and never had a time where its gone up so it helps me mentally. Daily was all over the place and it made me panic 😂

tobee · 27/02/2026 18:39

Be interested to hear how your split dosing goes @Springbaby2023

I did my consultation with Pharmulous last night. I ticked the “I’ll book a video later” and paid; waiting for response on approval.

I then panicked that I wouldn’t get it by Tuesday as it said allow 1 - 2 working days for response and then 1 -2 for delivery. So I ordered another pen with my previous supplier. Of course this afternoon I get an email from Pharmulous saying my pen has been dispatched!! I’m such a ridiculous panicker!!

Anyway, I now have 2 x 7.5mg pens coming. Purpose of posting this is that a) Pharmulous are very quick and b) if I have the second 7.5mg pen for the month after - April - and I feel affect is waning, can I order 2.5mg pen to take as well to make up to 10mg?

tobee · 27/02/2026 20:15

Been thinking about my own question and buying an extra 2.5mg pen would be very expensive. Ah well!

Springbaby2023 · 27/02/2026 20:16

@tobee I would just do three 10mg doses from the 7.5mg pen instead. Makes it a bit more expensive but it’s money you’ve already spent and if it has more of an effect it would be worth it. You’ve got a while to decide anyway.

Congratulations on all your losses!

I'm another 1.5lb down, I'm now at 10st 2, after starting at 12stone 8.

My BMI is now 26.99 - so within touching distance of a healthy BMI.

Onwards and upwards! Aiming for 9 stone by May, hopefully it's doable

🙌 for the new number on the scales! Sounds like split doses could be a win. Please keep us posted!

That’s an amazing loss! What a great result. Your weekly average is also really good in my opinion. Surely much more than that as a weekly average wouldn’t be good. I think you should feel really proud. If daily weighing is taking that feeling away then yes it’s probably a good idea to swap to twice a week. Maybe wait until Monday morning for your next one. Best of luck - u think you’ve done brilliantly 💐

tobee · 27/02/2026 22:12

Thanks @Springbaby2023makes sense of course

user593 · 27/02/2026 22:27

Thank you @EducatingRosemary 💕 I think I just need to adjust my expectations after the first couple of months. I have so much to lose, it can feel very daunting!

Fantastic results! It sounds like that target is totally doable for you.

diggitydoo · 28/02/2026 07:47

Hey everyone, not been here for a while but just checking in.

I've lost 2 stone 5 lbs now and am only 1lb away from my first target (10% of body weight) so that feels surreal and good. No one has noticed, I don't look any different at all as I have at least ten stone to lose. Disappointingly I'm still in alot of pain with my knees/arthritis. But I still have alot of weight to lose so I guess that is why. So I just carry on and try to keep my head together.

I am still on 5 mg and I do feel less suppression than I've had at times, but I am still losing weight at a rate of 2.3lbs a week apparently so I don't feel inclined to try and speed it up. Partly because of money but mainly because this is going to be such a long haul anyway that I need to learn the skills to regulate my appetite myself or I'll just be fighting this battle forever. I've been having CBT every week to try and help me cope with the emotional aspect and the reemergence of disordered eating behaviours.

I've also started going to the gym, which I'm not enjoying. But there you go. I'll just keep at it.

TaffyTabby · 28/02/2026 09:02

@diggitydoo well done that’s great progress - especially CBT and gym, sounds like you’re really giving it your all!

I had a whoosh this morning. Down 3lb compared with a week ago. So pleased after feeling like I was going nowhere for ages.

SexyFrenchDepression · 28/02/2026 11:53

@diggitydoo its great you are concentrating on making life long changes as that will be what helps you keep the weight off. Its frustrating when people dont notice but you will find that will happen all of a sudden. I had 3 stone to lose to get from BMI 28 to 22 and no one noticed after 1.5 stone, as soon as I lost 2 stone everyone did. A lot of that is because we probably all hide in baggy clothes a bit so it isnt so noticeable till wearing something more fitted. You are doing brilliantly!!

@TaffyTabby its so hard not to be impatient about it but often the whooshes come, it just would feel better mentally to lose it consistently as you being to get doubts.

I am down 1.4lbs this week so higher than last week, 6.1lb officially to go, will aim for 8/9lb as a buffer. I am getting a few comments about not losing more but this is irritating as my BMI is 22.7 so not really low, still above the middle of healthy. Its just that people are used to me being chubby more recently. My waist measurement is only fractionally under healthy also so I am not tiny.

Springbaby2023 · 28/02/2026 13:43

@TaffyTabby well done on the woosh!

@user593 that’s an incredible loss you’re on so far and really good weekly average, hope it stays like that for you.

@diggitydoo well done, sounds like you are doing brilliantly. Great that you’re doing more than just the jabs, definitely means this is more likely to be a permanent change for you. I am at 1stone 11lb loss and haven’t had many people notice yet but then I’m still in my old clothes, they’re just baggier. I reckon a few more pounds and some new clothes and people would start to tell. But I don’t mind people not noticing as I hate the attention (and the thought of them noticing if I put it back on), ultimately I’m doing this to be a healthier version of myself so it doesn’t matter if other people can’t tell, I know I’m so much healthier for the loss so far.

SexyFrenchDepression · 01/03/2026 10:35

@Springbaby2023 I have started getting a bit self conscious with people noticing, but only with the people I dont want to tell. Eg my DSs best firends mum was wanting them but cant afford them (TBH she csn probably get them prescribed but long story with addiction/struggling to get things done) so I am embarrassed to tell her esp as she has a lot more to lose and more reasons to have them. Also there are a few friends who think they know everything and will know everything about them so CBA to tell them.

user593 · 01/03/2026 11:38

Little NSV, all my tshirts are from ONLY. I wear a plus size XL (UK 26). I decided to buy some more in an M (UK 18-20) when they were on sale in anticipation of needing them at some point. Decided on a whim to try one today and it fits, and I can really see how much smaller I am now I’m not hiding in an oversized tshirt. I’m going to stick with my oversized tshirts for now though 😅

Thats fantastic!! This is when people start to notice, although because I was hiding in baggy cloths some people can't tell😂 when I get chance to take some new photos i will post some as I think the difference is quite obvious to most. I haven't taken shorts and crop top new photo yet (my PT made me take some previously) so that will be interesting. Not sure they will look that different as ive been so slack in the gym 😂

user593 · 01/03/2026 12:53

@SexyFrenchDepression It’s strange isn’t it, I feel much happier hiding in my big t-shirts! But they are close to getting a bit comically big now.

You'll probably love your new look when you feel brave enough to wear the smaller clothes, 99% of people will be lovely about it all and super supportive. I still have a tendency to focus on the bits I dont like but I definitely need to not care about it, no one else does.

diggitydoo · 02/03/2026 15:54

I really don't want people to notice. feel very exposed and vulnerable if people do. Feel like I'm being judged for things that I find very triggering and intensely personal and hate people talking about it .
