Hi everyone, starting a second thread as the other one is almost full. We made it through month one, now here’s to a happy, healthy and lighter 2026!

Do you have a strategy if anyone comments @diggitydoo ?

It’s weird, I want it to be noticeable but I don’t really want to chat about it.

EducatingRosemary · 02/03/2026 19:48

Argh! I’ve been a total idiot!

I admit that I’m playing the system to save money. Since starting, at the very end of October, I’ve only ever taken 2.5mg doses.

The last 7 of my doses have been from a 5mg pen (by counting 30 clicks instead of 60). Pen used up all its clicks last week so tonight was golden dose. Used my syringe to dose 0.6 as I’ve always done for the golden dose and only just twigged 2 hours later that it should have been 0.3 as it’s a 5mg pen! Idiot!

That will teach me! I’ve just taken double the intended dose. My own stupid fault. Please cross your fingers I don’t get side effects!

Springbaby2023 · 02/03/2026 20:15

I would worry too much @EducatingRosemary, you’ve only gone up an extra 2.5mg so fingers crossed you’ll be fine.

I tried split dosing last week and it made zero difference. I have lost weight but I’m eating well above my calorie target. Going to have to bite the bullet and try 10mg for the next pen I think, will see how the next week pan out but tempted to try it from my 7.5mg and see how I get on.

@EducatingRosemary ah it’s easily done I’m sure. Remember loads of people go from 2.5 to 5 after a month so you might get some side effects but shouldn’t be too bad. Fingers crossed for you. Do you have much on in the next couple days? The 48 hours after jab are usually worst for me.

EducatingRosemary · 02/03/2026 20:38

Thanks both. I know i probably sound like I’m worrying needlessly. Fingers crossed!

2.5 has always been good for me and the impacts are immediate - after my first dose I made one milk shake drink last the day as my appetite literally disappeared! I always used to inject Friday evenings in case of side effects but I’ve gradually gone to Mondays due to a couple of weekends away not wanting to take jabs with me etc and stuck there as I know I don’t get side effects now so it’s no longer a concern! I work in a school so - yep quite a bit on and nowhere to hide! 😬

PatheticDistraction · 02/03/2026 20:58

7.5 seems to be giving me more suppression now I'm on month 2 of this dose. I'm actually struggling to eat for the first time.

Today I've felt very lethargic & had to force myself to eat lunch - I ended up making a chicken quinoa salad, with roasted broccoli & green beans - I was trying to get as many nutrients in as possible, as I'm struggling so much to eat meals now - although still having the odd chocolate, but very minimal.

Wondering if I should go back down to 5mg...I definitely need to try and maintain my nutrition.

SexyFrenchDepression · 02/03/2026 21:23

Oh @EducatingRosemary its easily done, I had to really think about it when I did the extras in my pen after the clicks run out.

@PatheticDistraction I guess because it builds up then that is maybe why in month 2 it seems worse? I have lost a lot of interest in good and not being great with my nutrients, I have got a bit lazy as on a low dose still and not getting side effects that mean I need to eat. I definitely feel unhealthier this week so I need to sort it out, almost become complacent. Could you try something like protein youghurts/desserts? Maybe something that is a bit of a sweeter/treatlike thing might help. I have some lovely high protein chocolate yogurt pots. It at least gives me something with a bit of protein, I stick raspberries and chia seeds in them.

One of the things with people potentially making comments is that we know from Mumsnet, and plenty of other places, that people have opinions about this drug and think it’s totally fine to say whatever they like, when they don’t really know what they’re talking about. Huge amount of judgement. Brings out a really nasty contingent.

With my dose at the moment, 7.5mg, I felt very hungry this morning, ate quite a big breakfast - Greek yogurt and nuts and chia because I’d decided to have breakfast late (I’m eating 2 meals a day) but then felt very full after. I know I’ve still got the habitual weird eating of someone “on a diet” where you have to try to make each meal you eat as satisfying and healthy as possible, and hope it’s tasty. I’m still not relaxed around my consumption.

Jab day tonight. Second 7.5 pen.

Sounds like you are making really good choices with your food. I still find that feeling of being really hungry yet so full after a comparatively small portion really strange.

Springbaby2023 · 03/03/2026 21:41

Yes that’s the strangest thing for me. Amount I treated myself to a nice lunch from our canteen and I was slightly worried bout the calories… forgetting actually I wouldn’t be able to eat it all even though I thought I was starving.

Interestingly I was asking Chat GPT about why I don’t feel much suppression compared to others and it said this. No idea if it’s true or not but thought it was interesting!

This was being discussed on another thread and apparently super responder is classed as losing 10% of body weight in 3 months. This is an odd one aa 10% can be a huge difference in weight. The description you have posted makes more sense. In the beginning I was a strong suppressor, I dont think ive eaten over 1100 on more than one or two days since starting. I am hungrier now for sure but not really eating loads. Weight loss much slower now.

I love that Chat GBT is always so positive 😍

tobee · 04/03/2026 01:16

Hang on! Chat GPT talks you lot up as well as me? ……😁

user593 · 04/03/2026 07:41

I lost 16.46% of my body weight in the first three months so I guess I should be more grateful and less impatient!

TaffyTabby · 04/03/2026 08:39

Ha I laughed at that @tobee ChatGPT is such a floozy! I love talking to chatGPT. I’m going to switch to Google Gemini though because the company that runs chat has made some unethical choices lately (don’t want to make the thread political though!!)

I have lost 14% in 3.5 months so I guess I’m a super responder?! It doesn’t feel like it to me but I am super happy with the results. I think I have a good balance at the moment.

I’ve bought some protein powder and chia seeds though and I’ve promised myself a healthy breakfast and at least one protein snack per day to try and improve my nutrition.

I think my hair fall has increased again 😭

I lost 20% exactly in 3 months, have only lost around 1lb a week since then so significantly slower and less than 2% more in the 4th month. I think its kind of irrelevant what you lose early as actually if you lose 1.5-2lb a week for say 6-12 that is such a lot of weight to lose for that length of time so that is also a really good responder.

SexyFrenchDepression · 04/03/2026 15:52

Just ordered 2 pens with lotus, there arent lots of discounts for 5mg currently but they offer 5% discount if ordering 2 plus I already had £25 in points from a previous order so price worked out ok . They do maintenance also and you have to potentially order every 6 months so that works quite well, happy to pay for minimum of 2 pens a year for peace of mind of never having to struggle with maintaining weight. You accrued loyalty points each time you make a purchase.

They are £170 full price but I have a £40 referral code, think they are only offering £25 on Monj.

They havent approved yet, probably need to send photos etc as I havent ordered from them since December I dont think but obviously have proof of prescriptions recently.

Springbaby2023 · 04/03/2026 21:40

NSV for me today, ordered some new clothes and having to send some bag as they are too big. A pain to return and exchange but chuffed at the sign that I’ve made genuine progress.

Thats fantastic! Its quite hard getting used to being a different size isnt it, I don't feel its real sometimes.

user593 · 05/03/2026 07:26

That’s great @Springbaby2023! I keep ordering clothes in an 18-20 and being shocked when they fit (was a 26!).

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 05/03/2026 09:01

I can also suggest lotus if anyone is thinking of a change…. They are not the cheapest but they are pretty cheap, service is good - fulfilled by Cloud pharmacy and delivered via Royal Mail (no signature).

TaffyTabby · 05/03/2026 13:05

Nice one @Springbaby2023 bet that’s satisfying even if returning stuff is annoying.

@user593 wow dropping that many dress sizes is incredible! Go you

I think I had been wearing the wrong size for ages cause I am now fitting comfortably in most of my old clothes, which is a bit embarrassing ha

Trying to avoid buying anything new til I’m maybe a 14, which I think will be another stone down at least

Springbaby2023 · 05/03/2026 13:38

@TaffyTabby That was me, for ages I just thought oh my clothes actually fit now! Which makes me think I was really an 18 rather than the 16-18 I thought I was. But now bought some 14 bits (and even 12 in leggings and sportswear, though that’s not as big a difference as it sounds as I was in 14 for those before).
