Hi everyone, starting a second thread as the other one is almost full. We made it through month one, now here’s to a happy, healthy and lighter 2026!

I know the grass is always greener but I’d love to be a 32GG @SexyFrenchDepression

I’m a DD but that’s three stone overweight and I suspect there won’t be much left when I get to goal. And what’s left will probs be down round my ankles.

Although I’m pleasantly surprised that my soft under arm area isn’t getting worse with the weight loss so far - fingers crossed 🤞

Lol, mine are 'enhanced' so its cheating! They aren't as big as they sound but luckily not too far south 😂

It is so nice not being in agony squeezing in bras though, I had to go up to 36 back until now, its lovely not having it all digging in.

Part of the reason I asked about the lbs per week is I remember some while ago there was a “have you tried noom?” thread and, if I remember correctly, someone commented that you would only lose 2lbs a week on Noom and I thought blimey I’d be delighted at that! It would be the consistency that I’d have hoped for.

Trouble is that 2lb a week is a kind of made up number. Its only a healthy amount to lose if you have a certain amount of weight to lose. Its 0.5-1% of your weight that is ok to lose each week (assuming you are not under the recommended BMI) hence why its not unhealthy for someone who has several stone to lose to drop large amounts to begin with without being unwell.

So for me around 0.66-1.33lb is healthy to lose based on my weight, hence why I am probably not losing more than that. At 25 stone it could be 3.5lb that is healthy.

My friend did Noom for a short time, she lost weight short time, same as most diet plans. I know its slightly different to other diets but essentially you can't lose weight without reducing your calories so its still restrictive.

user593 · 24/02/2026 20:28

@SexyFrenchDepression Its interesting you say that because with my ‘slow’ losses I am losing just under 1% of my total body weight a week now.

There are probably limitations to it, eg extremely tall people who weigh more but it seems more sensible than an arbitrary 1-2lbs. I have seen on other threads where people have got all judgy of people losing more than 2lb a week when really it can be fine.

Springbaby2023 · 24/02/2026 18:22

@SexyFrenchDepression The problem is I can’t reduce my calories…. I know I should but I just don’t have the willpower / suppression. Which is where it’s frustrating as essentially I feel like I’m just on a normal diet if that makes sense? Just one that I’m sticking too for longer. It probably does mean that I need to increase my doses, but that brings with it more side effects. I’m really hoping split dosing will help mean that I can eat more consistently lower calories across the whole week.

@tobee I would have expected around 1lb a week average which is what I’m getting now, or was until I started stalling. The difference is I’ve stuck at it for so much longer than anything before.

I think if I wasn’t getting enough suppression to be able to reduce my calorie intake down by enough to be losing consistently, I’d up my dose for sure.

If I was worried about side effects (and I can’t really speak from experience of these because mine have been minimal) I would bring current doses closer together.

Springbaby2023 · 24/02/2026 22:36

@EducatingRosemary That’s what I’m going to try this week. I can’t go up to 10mg because honestly the side effects I had after my second 7.5mg dose just aren’t worth it! But I’m hoping maybe 5mg every five days will work more successfully, got to be worth a go anyway. Although the side effects did improve with each dose so I’m not against going up again at some point… just once the memories of them have faded, it was honestly awful.

Hi all hope you don’t mind me dipping in? I seem to have stalled for 2 weeks now. This week was my last dose of 5mg before deciding whether to stay on it for a 3rd pen or go up to 7.5mg which I can’t really afford. I was hoping to be on it for another month only as I have 10lbs to lose to hit target? Would love to hear opinions! Thanks

Springbaby2023 · 25/02/2026 07:18

@OhCobblers Welcome to the stallers group, there are a couple of us on this thread stalling at the moment, wonder if it’s a normal sort of time to stall after a few months on it. I went up to 7.5 last month and I’ve noticed minimal differential in terms of suppression but a big difference in terms of cost and side effects, I think if I’d have stayed in 5mg I’d be stalling even more though. I always think better to go higher and just take a smaller dose from it if necessary than risk four weeks stuck on a lower dose that isn’t working (although ironically I’ve just ordered another 7.5 rather than going up to 10 despite stalling).

Are you struggling with hunger suppression on the 5mg? If so then going up to maybe 6mg so stretching out the pen an extra week or so the 7.5 is more cost effective may work?

SexyFrenchDepression · 25/02/2026 08:50

I do think that most people don't seem to cope with going up the doses every month, it has definitely taken most people on these threads take longer to get used to the new doses.

tobee · 25/02/2026 16:15

Hmm so I took my last dose of my current 7.5mg pen last night and I feel pretty much completely suppressed right now! If this follows last week’s trajectory though i shall be feeling almost back to normal pre mounjaro by Friday. Ahh! It so annoying (and probably very boring for others to read) that I can’t decide which pen to order. I just want to have a good 4-5 days where I feel full quickly.

Also

Those of you who have changed providers how much time did it take from starting the consultation to the new pen arriving please? I presume there will be variations with different providers?

Could you order the next pen up and take say 8.5mg then see how that goes first?

I have switched providers a few times, with exception of MedExpress who were slow, the others I have done the consultation and its been approved in less than half hour and arrived the next day if early enough when I have ordered or the following day. That is Lotus, Lloyds and Pharmacy2u. I will go for Bolt perhaps next pen then to a maintenance provider who are happy to prescribe with bigger gaps in between.

Springbaby2023 · 25/02/2026 19:13

@tobee thats exactly my pattern! I just wish I felt at the end of the week how I do at the start. I have changed a few times and it’s always been super quick, usually dispatched day after you fill out all the form and then arrives a day after

Thanks for the replies!

I was thinking of trying Pharmulous. I had been thinking of Medicine Marketplace but have heard they might not accept me as I’m on levothyroxine.

Springbaby2023 · 25/02/2026 21:05

Never heard of either of them, might have to look into them!

Pharmulus apparently have a good maintenance programme and are a really good price without discounts. Some are great with first time customers but normal prices are really high.

TaffyTabby · 26/02/2026 08:45

I think I’ve used four providers now and they’ve all been really speedy. Some of them were literally the next day from submitting photos.

I injected 6.5mg yesterday and this morning had the most awful stomach cramps - I felt light headed.

Sorry if TMI but it feels like a lot of the time my bowels are sluggish on MJ but then when I inject - especially if I’ve gone up a dose - everything suddenly speeds up and it’s so uncomfortable.

I don’t think my fibre intake is consistent enough. I maybe need to buy a supplement.

I have massive issues with fibre. Had over 100g pf protein within 1000 cals yesterday and 7 grams of fibre 😱

I need to be way more consistent with it.

TheP1per · 26/02/2026 13:10

Hi Everyone. I haven’t been on for a little while. I’ve missed a lot! Things were stalling a bit for me on 3.75mg so I went up to 5mg and that seems to have done the trick and no side effects thankfully. I don’t want to go higher than 5mg if I can help it though. Ive kind of lost interest in what I eat though. I just don’t fancy anything, even if I’m hungry. I haven’t had much in way of veg, protein and stuff. Just eaten what I usually would. I’ve missed a few meals, having just cereal as a substitute.
Hearing about the side effects you are having definitely puts me off increasing.

Springbaby2023 · 26/02/2026 14:42

@TaffyTabby that happened to me after second 7.5, had to buy Imodium for the first time in my life!

I’ve been making chia porridge to help with my fibre intake. About a tablespoon of chia seeds and a splash of milk, left to soak overnight if I remember or 15 minutes. I either add to something else or eat on its own. Does get stuck in the teeth though!

user593 · 26/02/2026 16:06

I was eating a lot of chickpeas for fibre but I’m kind of sick of chickpeas now 😅 Might have to move on to chia seeds. I’ve been taking pysllium husk capsules and occasionally Dulcolax too.

SexyFrenchDepression · 26/02/2026 23:19

I started taking psyllium husk but they didn't really have any effect so I got out of the habit. I need to start again. I did figure out a way of getting a decent amount of fibre and did well for a few days then stopped for no real reason.

I need to do an online shop over the weekend and plan my meals better.
