Happy Friday everyone!

Weekly update from me:

Weight: still stuck fluctuating around 136/137lbs. Boo. Nothing is shifting. Back to reducing whole fruits based carbs and eliminating all forms of sugar, natural or otherwise. It’s DH’s birthday tomorrow so it’s gonna be a boozy weekend so keeping alcoholic sugars down will be a mission…

Exercise: this week in order to lose zero pounds I have: Pvolve x 5; 45min 5% incline treadmill walks of 4.5mph x 5; dog walks x 5; played tennis for 90mins x 2; Attended Lagree classes x2 and had one Argentine tango lesson of one hour with DH. I have not been sedentary.

Food; I have easily achieved 30 plants, eaten clean (aside from one cheeky mini flake) and had no booze during the week. Made a fab new salmon dish from Frida Redknapp’s insta page (features a pea- based sauce, was delish). I’ve had no puddings apart from fresh fruit.

Beauty: my no spend, use everything up in my beauty drawers is going well, I ordered a new collagen conducting gel from SBC beauty for my NuFace which smells lovely. It is reasonably priced. @Goldleafcat not dissimilar to a Ziip halo, the only thing you need is consistency whichever device you choose. Jury is out on the Murad retinol body sculpt cream but fingers crossed.

fashion: I’m off to London Fashion Week this weekend! - DH secured tickets via his work for one of the shows.. we have a fancy reception thing to go to… now deciding what to wear…eek! We’re also at the international rugby tomorrow with DH at twickenham via a fancy brunch at the Wolseley so I’m digging out my big fur coats. I ordered a new hat to wear but the seller packed in on a bag not a box (who does that with a hat?!) and it sadly arrived looking like the sorting hat from Harry Potter so I won’t be wearing that 😂 I haven’t bought anything else.

Hope everyone has something lovely planned for the weekend!

I have put on a couple of pounds and am in danger of putting on more so have decided to increase my dose a bit (had been trying to titrate down). I have been rather stressed since Christmas and stress has always been my weight gain trigger. I did have a nice NSV yesterday as went to my first Body Pump class since being smaller and I can now do tricep dips! Also tried a new Pilates class with a squishy ball which was quite fun. Well done everyone on continued losing or maintaining.

SW: 19st 9lbs
CW:13st 2lbs
1st GW: 17st 13lbs
2nd GW 15st 4lbs
3rd GW: 13st 9lbs
4th GW: 11st 4lbs
TL: 6st 07lb

Hmm, I'm up a pound this week, which is annoying, but I'm going to thank it for the lesson. I'm back in the office more after a long stint of not being and have probably had a few more little snacky bits than when I'm at home. So thank you pound for reminding me to keep an eye on that as the contract progresses!

Morning all, there was an interesting program on R4 this week about WLI and side effects. It’s called ‘Inside Health’ and lasts 28mins. Worth a listen on a dog walk etc.

Listened to that on my morning run today. We are lucky that are November gang have shared so much support on health, food and exercise along with beauty & fashion. I doubt many of us take MoneyJ as it was called on episode of the Hunger Games and then live on crisps and coke, most of us have worked on lifestyle changes.

Did people listen to Hira (Oushk) last night? She was talking about MJ tablets maybe by the end of the year and implied they might be easier to microdose. Oushk doesn’t ‘support’ microdosing in the sense of buying a higher dose to deliver smaller amount as such …. But I think Voy’s six week statement has rattled a few cages. New pricing for the higher doses might be announced in March.

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 20/02/2026 13:05

Still a 6 stone loss @PinkArt 💪🏻

I will weigh tomorrow so fingers crossed I will see that as well.

I ran 11km this morning whereas in Nov 24 I couldn’t run to the post box at the end of the road.

Are we expecting pricing changes up or down? Or unknown?

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 20/02/2026 13:24

Hira hinted that doses of 10mg and above may come down but no indication by how much. She doesn’t prescribe anymore and they have a team of prescribers so they are doing really well out of WLI. They need to keep revenue up to cover all those costs and they are a few cheaper alternatives to them.

11km! That’s incredible! Have you been a runner previously or is it a new thing?

(I’ve never been a runner but thinking of trying it, as it’s free!)

Oceangrey · 20/02/2026 15:27

Yes, they are more expensive than some. I've only order one pen elsewhere as it feels safer to stay with them as I get to BMI 25 but the pricing does not feel great. I'm on 12.5mg so a drop would be most welcome!

I completed a couch to 5k course with a local run club in November which got me back into running. I haven’t run at all in the past 30 years since my first child was born - what an excuse 🙄 I have moved up to 10k quickly but I think muscle memory from my 20s woke up and said we remember this.

The thing I like about running is that’s it’s free, I can open the front door and just go. It certainly gives my endorphins a boost and when I do the weekly club run the pack breaks down into the speedies in 5th gear, the 4th gear and then we have speedy plodders and slow plodders but no one really cares as it’s not a super competitive club constantly worried about its rankings. Club runs will break down into 10km plus and 5km so there is always someone to run with. There is an 80 yr old who turns up to track sessions and she goes at her pace so everyone is in awe of her. The lady who runs the club C25k course is 70.

On the other hand Mr Pumpkin will say I have spent too much on running gear from Sweaty Betty and ASICS but even factoring that into account it’s a lot less than a David Lloyd membership. I have just purchased some trail shoes so I can do cross country in the spring 😁

So after all that rambling

  1. do c25k with a local run club it may cost you £40 but that is normally converted to club membership at the end. You get lots of encouragement and support, plus new friends.
  2. dont spend a fortune on new trainers. Go to RunnersNeeds say you are new to running and they will advise. You don’t have to spend £150 on trainers. I picked up a pair of trail shoes at ASICS in Gunwharf Quays for £85 yesterday. And go half a size up in trainers.

I think the penny has dropped with Oushk finally about pricing. A lot of their customers switched to Wegovy and some have switched back to MoneyJ. I am still on 10mg but my next order from Oushk is for 7.5mg including a discount and penny postage. However I think I still need another 10mg pen which I may get from Pharmulous just so I stay in their books as well. I will then push the delivery date on Oushk back a bit.

jay55 · 21/02/2026 08:17

Ooo have fun at fashion week @Mounjaropen

Im another half a kilo down this week. 77.45kg, only my body fat is in the red on my stats on my scales, more yellows and greens is pleasing to see.

Nothing planned this weekend, need to work a little. And clean up my flat, have visitors in 2 weeks and am away next weekend.

DarkForces · 21/02/2026 08:18

It's been ages but I wanted to check in with you lovely lot and take a moment to celebrate as I've been 6 months in maintenance now! I've actually lost a bit more but am still in the healthy category so all good. I take mj still but spread out my doses and am just about to try dropping down a level to 5. It really has been life changing and I feel so much better in myself and about myself. I feel so lucky to live at a time that effective weight loss support is available as I'd still be ballooning without it. I'm now able to wear what I want, move without pain and my stats are looking great. This board was a wonderful support and special thanks to @Mounjaropen for always keeping it such a lovely, positive space.

random223 · 21/02/2026 09:03

Well done @DarkForces . 6 months maintenance is a brilliant achievement

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 21/02/2026 09:56

Thank you! Fab to hear your experiences and tips. I’d definitely be a slow plodder and have no running muscle memory so will be a slog. But as the weather warms up (today is gorgeous) the thought of getting out and giving it a go is more appealing. I do live somewhere very hilly which is off putting, but I’m telling myself I can always hop in the car to a trail near me which is mostly level.

Gah how frustrating about the stubborn pounds refusing to shift. Hope you’re having a fabulous weekend though, what did you decide to wear? Hope your DH has had a fun birthday too.

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 22/02/2026 22:35

I forgot! If you don’t want to do C25K with a club, or there isnt a local run club, just download the NHS C25K app @Goldleafcat I chose Ella Toone one of our lionesses as my trainers for my non-club runs and it’s great too.

And don’t forget to do the warm up and cool down bits as they are what will help you avoid injury. They are on the NHS app too.

Slow and steady wins. Don’t try to run like a greyhound from the start. I am a plodder and no one cares. I did a 5km plod around Denbies Wine Estate area with a friend, really slow as it had some proper muddy patches, followed by a well earned pub lunch. (Hope I don’t pay too dearly for that on my Tuesday weigh in).

jay55 · 23/02/2026 08:20

I’ve ordered some shorts, admittedly they are knee length Bermuda shorts but I’ve ordered them. Even ordered a co-ord set, I’m so down with the kids.
Month until my month long holiday. So excited.

What methods have people used for taking pens abroad? I’ll have a mini fridge for my cruise which is the bulk of the trip. I won’t for my first night in a hotel but can probably get ice for that night.

Ooh shorts sound fab! I’d pop the pen in a cool bag until you can refrigerate it, but if you are going for a month and can start a pen at the same time, you should be ok if it isn’t refrigerated permanently. Where are you off to? A whole month away sounds heavenly!

Show was awesome. Then we had lunch at the Savoy which was fascinating as the Bafta stars were staying there… DH had to wait returning from the loo because Jenna Coleman was being filmed with her entourage 😂I Wore my lovely self portrait gold blouse from last year and then matching Chanel shoes and handbag with my M&S pleather trousers… I think I fitted in given the extraordinary outfits from some of the other attendees 😳
