Ohhh! Interesting! Thank you! I never managed to get the golden dose out. I have always assumed the pen had 4 turns. How does it work to get more out? I struggle to stay on MJ because it makes me so lightheaded (and I lose tons of hair), but I would like to get myself back down to me happy place, and a cheaper way of doing it would be amazing!

No problem. Each pen has four times the dose stated on the pen. So a 5 mg pen has four doses of 5mg or 0.6ml plus one golden dose. To get 2.5 mg each dose has to be half of the standard dose I.e 30 clicks (0.3ml) of the pen. Obviously the pen has a finite number of clicks, but you should be able to get 8 or 9 doses using the clicks on the pen. The final one/two doses you’ll need to get extraction syringes and an appropriate needle in order to then inject. There are charts you can refer to for the dose, You use one needle to extract the dose then change it for a new needle to use to inject to avoid any contamination to yourself. I used UK Medi to purchase the extraction syringe on the recommendation from this thread. Link below to the ones that you require. Obviously all of this is predicated on the fact that you are refrigerating the pen for the whole time, so this is not necessarily an option if you do not do that.

my last pen was £169 but lasted 10 weeks of a weekly 2.5mg dose.

Good luck!

A word of caution if people are ordering for the 5th dose - don’t order absolutely loads because Eli Lilly are bringing out a new version of the pen which has less liquid in the pen 😕

It’s already being rolled out in parts of Europe. Not seen any in the UK yet.

But still great for split dosing etc

Morning lovely friends in my phone! Happy Valentine’s eve!

Friday update from me:

Weight: 136.3lbs which is 4lbs more than I’d like but better than the start of the week!
I’ve really found logging everything into MFP, keeping track of my 30 plants (excluding spices) has greatly helped too. I’ve knocked any form of sweet treat that is not a whole food or a very small amount of good quality dark chocolate (2 squares of Lindt). It’s easy to see how I got fat forgetting a daily creme egg/twirl/whatever habit.

Food: I’ve been keeping prepped veggies/crudites in the fridge along with homemade hummus or a beetroot/walnut dip (just blend a packed of cooked beetroot (the non-pickled kind) from the supermarket with a handful of walnuts and a couple of tablespoons of mayonnaise - delish). This means if I feel snacky I can have something with a good amount of fibre in it rather than go for more sugary fruit options. I’ve also been making my own 100ml immunity ginger shots in dinky glass bottles from Amazon containing 75mls of juiced apple, 25mls of juiced ginger and half teaspoon of dried organic acerola cherry powder. A large bag of red delicious apples (£2.50) and a large bag of ginger (£1.85) from Asda this week will be enough to make 16 shots. Better than paying £3.70 a shot from Pret - and they don’t even have the cherry powder in them. The cherry powder is expensive but lasts for ages.

Beauty: Started my Murad retinol body sculpt cream this week (£60 from QVC) which I am hoping will improve my saggy skin…🤞🏻 Also ordered some collagen conducting gel as opposed to non-collagen for my Nuface device.

Exercise: No Tennis this week as it was rained off both times, but I have done two Lagree classes including one mega long one filmed for Social Media content (get me!) I have also done 5 x inclined treadmill walks of 50mins each whilst watching the new season of the Lincoln Lawyer (v good) and have also done 5 x Pvolve classes - my arm muscles are certainly becoming more defined which I think may be down to the creatine?

This weekend DH is taking me for Lunch at a fancy restaurant favoured by the Beckhams.. and on Sundays I’m off to our Argentine Tango class and will be indulging in the M&S valentine Dine in of Beef Wellington afterwards 🥰

Hope everyone has something lovely in their glass for the weekend and something lovely planned for ❤️ day.

I ordered 10 luer lock syringes and 20 needles yesterday as I have my stash with 5th dose availability and planning to extract smaller dose from 5mg should I ever get there.

Another week of STS but at least no gain. I am not moving up as suppression is still good. I think I am building muscle with all the exercising and my body has no idea what it is meant to be doing.

Ooh I like the idea of making my own ginger shots. Great idea @Mounjaropen

(off to look for dinky bottles on Amazon)

Search for glass ones so they are reusable.

We have the M&S Beef Wellington too! Along with the scallops starter and cremant. Some decadence for the weekend 💃

Happy Friday everyone!

I’ve not lost anything this week but after super whoosh week last week I’m still more than happy (seems to be my body’s way!). Still got the lurgy clinging on which is a pain (had to cancel my Pilates classes this week). Thanks for the tip re ginger shots - I’ve got some ready made ones I’ve been having (moju) but home made is a good shout. I should probably dig out my juicer!

No change this week but like @Goldleafcat that's ok after a lovely woosh last week. 12 stone something feels amazingly close now. I tried on some size 14 skirts from my 2013 wardrobe this week and they're a bit too snug to wear comfortably, but they do fit. I really thought I was kidding myself holding onto those 'in case' so feel very vindicated! My new 34DD bras arrived and my cup size measuring was off, but not by too much so I'll just suffer four boobs for a bit.

Coat Update! I had resigned myself to thinking it’s for the best / it’ll be Spring soon and was wrapping up the coat to return. But also feeling a bit sad as I was doing so, admitting I still really liked it. Then because I’m a glutton for punishment I had another one last look on the website (as I was there to generate the returns label) and like magic - a size 6 in stock!

Probably against my better judgement I’ve ordered it 🙄🤣

PinkArt · 13/02/2026 11:46

I love when that happens @Goldleafcat . Not WL related at all but I really wanted, but reminded myself I absolutely didn't need, some Christmas nibble bowls last year. They sold out while I was fighting with my brain about them. Then one set came back into stock in John Lewis in late December so I swooped!

Radio 4 our favourite obesity doc - Giles Yeo - has a new podcast which I listened to during my 10k run this morning. Downloaded all the episodes before I left and off I went 🏃‍♀️. Goes through the history of GLP through to what the future might be, so not necessarily about the process of taking them but an interesting listen. It’s called The Hunger Games.

I can absolutely understand that! I love nibble bowls and kitchen / dining ware too. I used to go mad for it all but I’ve reined myself in a teeny bit (I now spend all my money on MJ and clothes instead, apparently!).

The last set of nibble bowls I got were Lucy Tiffney (Next), absolutely delightful, but I only use them when DS is out of sight.

I think I need to take myself over to the de influencing thread…!

Considering a no spend March 😬😅

I hit 78kg dead on this morning. 3kg away from my holiday goal weight which is 5 weeks away. Though to be honest if I hit 75.9 it will totally count 😂😂

I tried a ginger shot this week, on Ocado flash sale. I thought it was going to burn my throat and stomach from the inside out. Vile.Love ginger things usually. Will tip the second into a stir fry.

I AM WEARING A SIZE 14 KLAXON 🥳

jay55 · 15/02/2026 00:41

Woohoooo. So many shops you can shop in now. It’s so weird to be able to buy clothes I like not the only thing tha fits.

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 15/02/2026 10:20

Size 14 klaxon ringing for @PinkArt 📣🔔📣🔔📣🔔📣🔔📣🔔

great achievement 🍾🥂

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 15/02/2026 11:56

<sounds the size 14 klaxon for @PinkArt> Hurray, excellent work! Tell us more about the size 14 - dress/skirt/jeans? I bet you look stunning in it!

PinkArt · 15/02/2026 12:27

It's a skirt that's been hiding under my bed with other size 14s for over a decade! A black fit and flare type mini. Some of the others only fit if I don't breathe but hopefully will in the next couple of months.
I know there are people fitting size 6s on here but that's never been and never will be me. My hips hit a 12 in my mid teens and I was an 8 (because 6s didn't exist then!) in adult leggings as a 9 year old because I had very long legs but not the adult hips that anything other than leggings worked. So this is me starting to get near my end goal wardrobe, even with nearly two stone to go.
How are folks finding getting rid of their fat wardrobe? I've gone through this enough times that I've done the whole 'never again, begone!' and then regretted having to buy at that size again when I regained. I don't know if I have enough faith yet to be ruthless but I also don't have the space to keep everything just in case.

jay55 · 15/02/2026 14:00

I feel like my fat clothes clear out coincided with knowing I’ll not be back in the office full time so was easy to sweep out the good stuff.

The casual I’ve worn to work at home until it needs throwing out anyway, the benefit of living alone.
Other than jeans, I did ditch them to charity quickly.

I think I’ll hang on to the new interim stuff I’ve bought. The 16s for a while anyway.

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 15/02/2026 14:57

I have no size 20 or size 18 in my wardrobe anymore and I don’t want the reminders. The only size 16 are a couple of weird fish quarter zip fleece tops that are great for gardening in but they do look a little roomy on me and an expensive waterproof coat which I am keeping because it great going over several layers when it’s cold.

My wardrobe is a mix of size 14 (bottom) and size 12 (top) which I am happy with but if I can get it to just 12 then even better - anything else then I will look scrawny at my age and the loose skin will be horrendous.

I was in Sweaty Betty last week looking at running jackets and the lady said that she had the one I was looking at in a SMALL as they had just received a new delivery !! I did a double take when I realised she was talking to me. It was snug around the hips as I still have a hanging wobbly belly but I am aiming to reduce that - it is where my last half stone is clinging on for dear life 🤬 I floated out of the store with a big smile though saying I would be back soon for that jacket. Actually I might just get it anyway ….

Goldleafcat · 15/02/2026 19:37

This is an incredibly timely question - just spent a lot of time ferreting though my wardrobe and trying on things to decide what needs to either be 1) donated to charity 2) squirrelled away in fear that I’ll put weight back on (only the nicer items) or 3) put on vinted (looking at you, clothes still with tags or excellent condition that I’ve just not gelled with).

My squirrelled collection is too large though - I did the same last year and it’s in the attic. I need to re-review.

I’ve had some sad times putting things aside which I love but are too big. The irony. However I’ve re bought some bits on vinted (some amazing bargains!) and feel a bit chirpier. It’s a bloody expensive time losing weight! I’m now at a more stable place and mostly happy so finally investing in some more splurgey pieces. Finally tackled my knicker drawer today and I’ve got so much space!
