Interestingly although my weight has been bouncing around I seem to be dropping inches especially in my trouble spots of belly and boobs. A fav pair of size 14 jeans is now too big and have replaced with size 10. Also bought some 34f bras a few weeks ago and now really need 32.

jaelato1 · 09/06/2026 08:35

@putthehamsterbackinitscage oh no! I hope you are feeling better now? I cant imagine the pain that must have caused.

I have not used MJ since I stopped Jan, had moments of plateau but back to losing again, I am now 4lbs away from goal weight. Absolutely enjoying clothes I thought I could never wear.

@StrongLikeMamma Wow …. Yo be managing without Mzj for almost 3 months is fab! Well done for sticking to good habits. Hope you have a great holiday!

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 09/06/2026 23:13

@Shitzngiggles - you’re doing a great job … bet you’ll come back from holiday in great shape!

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 09/06/2026 23:16

@narcASD - that flight sounds like the worst! I don’t doubt that was painful - and the smells are completely out of your control… let alone cabin crew - I really don’t get those passengers complaining.,, what did they expect to achieve…..?

Fingers crossed the remaining pen gets you to target soon though …. It’s not too far to go now!

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 09/06/2026 23:20

@Eatinpeachesonthebeaches - going up to 7.5 will probably help but it can be frustrating when you are near target but seeing the dc as I es bounce around.

But, you’ve had some great nsv - dropping sized like that proved the scales are just numbers …. Your shape is changing. Well done!

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 09/06/2026 23:22

@jaelato1/ Well done! You are doing a great job losing without Mj. That was really brave to stop and do it alone…. I am in awe!

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 09/06/2026 23:34

I’ve just caught up a bit…. Thanks for all the good wishes. I have been reading / posting a lot less over the last couple of weeks as I’ve needed a fair amount of extra daytime naps.

I would have to say appendicitis is worse than childbirth - especially when you haven’t a clue what the problem is, and you are thinking the worst in terms of mj related issues.

However, the surgeons were absolutely clear that it is not related to taking Mounjaro and that once recovered it is fine to resume taking it.

I’m 2weeks post discharge now, and the wounds are healing well, and I’m gradually getting back to normal - another week or so till i can lift anything heavy and probably the same in terms of running.

My appetite is definitely increasing and I am finding snacks very tempting- DD is home and is going through food like a teenage boy and we have some extra snacks in the house that I wouldn’t normally buy and it’s difficult to ignore. So, I’m back on maintenance now albeit started at 2.5 mg again n and will gradually work up to find my new maintenance level.

Thanks 😊

I had to stop as was so sick. Had various tests done and it seems I had a bug in my stomach that required very strong antibiotics. This has buggered up my digestive system - so still eating small amounts and no alcohol, which obviously helps massively.

The Dr said he couldn’t say if the WLIs triggered this underlying issue or if it would have happened anyway.

Either way am at a healthy BMI now and feel like I have embedded the habits required to stay here: weights, low calorie, low carb, no processed sugar, high protein, no alcohol - this will be how I eat in the main forever now.

Am still resolving my digestive issues - have an appointment booked next week to discuss tests etc. But bloods seem fine and hopefully it will heal in time 🤞

I got a bit lazy, wasn’t remembering to jab regularly or weigh in. I’m back on it and getting minor side effects and slowly losing again. The good news is that whilst I was forgetting to regularly jab I didn’t gain much, fairly stable weight (a bit of up and down but roughly maintaining). I’ve finally gone up to 5mg (I’d been sticking around 4mg for a while) and I think it’s helping a bit more with proper appetite suppression.

I’m doing well on protein, but not on exercise/weights. I walk a reasonable amount but I just feel I have no spare time or energy to do “real” exercise

Shitzngiggles · 17/06/2026 17:43

@putthehamsterbackinitscage hope you're continuing to recover ok.

Well I'm back from holiday and somehow lost another 2lbs! I ate well though and really enjoyed my food. Very hilly so lots of uphill walking which gave my legs a good workout, so made up for not going to the gym.
I am now maintaining. I am actually 4lbs below my target weight, but I feel that this is where I should be and feels right if that makes sense. Put all my stats into Nutracheck so it worked out my tdee. I feel that the hard work really begins now, finding the right balance between not eating too much or not enough! I am staying on Mounjaro at 5mg as that seems to suit me and I really need the safety net of being on the jabs. I just can't bear the thought of piling the weight back on as I have done so many times before.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Well done @Shitzngiggles- how is maintenance going? I meant to post before but somehow the weeks are just racing past.

I’m pretty much recovered now - tiny scars and slight bumps where the incisions were, but that’s all.

i’m also back to my previous dose of MJ as I had got to a stable level that seemed to work, so my current plan is to stay at that level for a while again now along with increasing running etc and working out what I need in calories to fuel increased activities.

i did lose a few extra pounds due to being ill, and am currently at the lower end of my range (still healthy bmi) so I am now weighing regularly to make sure I don’t drop any more, which seems strange after years of wanting to see lower numbers on the scales.

Meandmypooch · 05/07/2026 11:31

Hi all, not posted in a while as I didn't have much to say really it was all a bit of a muchness 😆
Anyway everything still going well even if the weight loss has slowed somewhat but I thought I'd post as I've reached another milestone I've now lost 6 stone!
Now on 12.5mg with no side effects apart from the odd bout of sulpher burbs! and that's only when I've succumbed and eaten crap! 😂
Just to add I've gone from a BMI of 40.8 down to 28.7 !

Shitzngiggles · 06/07/2026 13:36

@Meandmypooch well done, that's such an achievement.
@putthehamsterbackinitscage thank you. Glad you have recovered.
Well maintenance is going, well not going really. Unfortunately I have lost another half stone. Never thought I would be putting the word unfortunately in front of that sentence! I'm finding it really hard mentally to increase the calories I need to maintain. I think the problem is I've always started gaining again before I've even hit my target weight. Coupled with the fact I'm just not hungry at lunchtime, which is when I could realistically up my calories. So I think I'm going to go down to 2.5 mg from 5 mg and see if that affects hunger levels, because obviously I can't keep losing weight. I'm now bmi 21.5 .
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would have to worry about needing to put on weight! Feel like I'm living in a parallel universe 😃

Eatinpeachesonthebeaches · 13/07/2026 10:15

Moving up to 7.5 seems to have nudged the scales downwards again as I'm now 52kg with target 50kg. Heatwave has played havoc with water retention so as this morning was cooler I was optimistic that I would be down from last week's 53.1 kg.

That’s amazing @Meandmypoochwell done! 🙌

Calyx72 · 26/07/2026 22:52

Hiya all hope you are all well and feeling good
I stayed on 2.5 since starting but was on an almost constant plateau for the last few months. I haven’t been exercising or weight lifting and I have been having prosecco every Tues, Fri, Sat and Sunday.
I have bit the bullet and gone up to 5mg today. I am on the Team RH app and logging calories properly again. Hope this helps me off the damn prosecco and back on the weights!

Calyx72 · 26/07/2026 22:53

Ps Lost 20lbs now 158lbs at 5’2”

Clumsykitten · 27/07/2026 11:04

Same here, I’ve been at 5mg for a while now, slowly dropping. Dropped just over 16kgs in total and BMI now 28.4. Trying to get out and run a bit more often.

cheekysausage123 · 27/07/2026 16:56

I’m still trucking. On 10mg as of this month. Lost 17kg and BMI now 27.5. Also trying to exercise more. Glad you’re all doing well!

Eatinpeachesonthebeaches · 27/07/2026 18:07

Still trucking along. The move to 7.5 did nudge the dial downwards and I'm only 1kg off target.

StrongLikeMamma · 17/08/2026 18:36

Thought I’d pop back on and say hi.
I stopped jabbing in February and have maintained my weight. I’m now longer off than I was on:
5 months on 2.5mg
6 months cold turkey

3.5 stones lost
BMI - 31 to 24

So it’s definitely possible.
I’d like to get to a year to feel really confident that I’m in control.
My weight does fluctuate by about 5lbs a month - but that’s definitely hormonal.

I have stuck to pretty much the same habits, although the odd glass of wine has been drunk over Summer, it’s been nothing like before and I’m still eating pretty clean and exercising (weights/boxing) a lot 🏋️‍♀️🥊

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 20/08/2026 09:21

I kept meaning to post every time this thread pops up but never had the time and somehow weeks have gone by…

It sounds like everyone is doing well though.

@StrongLikeMammastopping the jabs and maintaining is great - you’re doing so well.

I’ve been maintaining now for not quite 6 months but I’m still jabbing- I split dose but it is the equivalent of 7.5 a week. Long term I do want to reduce dose but the positives are I don’t generally want to snack - not interested in chocolate whereas I used to be able to eat a 400g bar of galaxy in one go and I don’t generally have more than a couple of drinks as I’m just not interested. We retired this year and are doing lots of travelling and socialising so for now I’m happy to stay as I am with the support to not lapse into bad habits.

I lost more than I intended or ever imagined I could do but am now stable at a bmi between 19 and 20 most of the time and a comfortable size 8 in most clothes. I weigh most days still as I find I do need to ensure I am eating enough to offset exercise and not lose any more. It’s quite odd, being concerned that the numbers on the scales don’t drop after so many years of hoping they will.

Clumsykitten · 20/08/2026 09:48

Also keep meaning to post. I’ve stuck at 5mg and tried to increase my exercise. A few runs, more walking, I have even managed some swimming which I love.

My weight has been fairly stable around 15-16kg below my starting weight, my BMI around 29. I’m finding it easier and easier to get my fibre, vegetables and protein in, and I’ve definitely acclimatised to smaller portions.

I will go for another push on reducing my weight but I’m thinking of doing that sticking with 5mg rather than going up a dose. I find it helps manage the hunger but I still feel hungry at this dose, which feels much more sustainable.
